really nice hotel, clean well situated for going site seeing. Really nice friendly staff everyone very helpful. would go again
We asked for rooms as close together as possible and were given inter-connecting rooms - perfect! The concierge was happy to look after our bags before 2pm on the day we arrived, and after check out on departure. My 4 girls loved the pool and jacuzzi (£1.50 per child per day). The staff were extremely helpful with local knowledge about oyster cards, buses etc. The rooms were clean and perfectly functional, and the hotel itself was a much higher standard than I had expected. Save for 1 of the lifts breaking down, I couldn`t fault it! The location and the price were perfect for our stay.
We had a family room and it would have been better if it had two singles and one double bed instead of two double beds as the kids didn`t enjoy sharing. But that was the only disappointment.
The hotel was just a short walk away from the tube station (Russell Square) and so was convenient to get into the city. The staff were very welcoming and pleased to help. The room was clean and modern. We only had breakfast but again, that was very nice. This was exactly what we had wanted. No problems at all. A great stay! We would certainly stay there again!
Overall experience was very good - out of the major hussle but close enough with good public transport access. The only complaint was that for our trip to the airport the last day at 04H00 the taxi drivcer organised by the concierge was half asleep and I had to get agressive with him as he was putting my family in danger. At a road closure due to an accident he announced that he did not know what to do as he only knew this route and I ended up directing him with his own GPS/Tom Tom - an absolute idiot that unfortunalty does impact my stay.
friendly staff clean comfortable room. good facililites reasonable prices gievn the location wish i had been able to have some treatments but were not there long enough will stay again for sure !!
The family room should have a double bed fpr the adults and two singles for the children.
Hotel was good, clean and staff pleasant. Children however, are not allowed in the pool after 6.30and the temperature of your hot water is regulated - very annoying !!
nice organised by you guys, very easy particullary as I`m in Cornwal too!The hotel was great, no problems, very friendly and efficient. I found it comfortable and the facilites that I used were very high and at the price VERY good indeed. A short stay as I need to catch the Eurostar- I had a very early walk to the station from the hotel in the very early hours, as I wanted a hotel mcuh closer to the terminal that walk won`t suit many people -
Excellent value, good location.
One down side was having to pay to use the hotel pool when we were staying as guests, it is usually complimentary when staying at the hotel and there were no family changing facilities at the pool either. Also childrens channels on the Tv would be nice for families with younger children.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The Hotel was situated within walking distance of the West End and was clean and the facilities very good (although you did have to pay to use the pool). Buffet breakfast was adequate, although a little expensive considering the cafe across the road did the same for a fraction of the price. Overall a fanastic family holiday.
Excellent hotel, good sized family room with two double beds. Downside distance from nearest tube which is Kings Cross, Pentonville Road and is only open week days and closes at 8pm. Can walk to the hotel from the main train stations, but definitely need a map.
hotel was fine for my needs . cleaning staff need to be spoken to. did not put in morning call , yet was called every few mins from 8 until 8.30 . very annoying . spoke to receptionest and she just shrugged . restaurant staff were polite , food was adequate , luke warm and reheated. desserts were devine . the barman on monday was a joy , he made my girls wery happy , with his tricks ,and was very welcoming . more like him please . wont be in a hurry back.
My family and I had an enjoyable break at this hotel for the marathon weekend . The staff were friendly and helpful , the room clean and comfortable with enough space for the four of us . The late check out was great as it allowed me to have a shower and relax for a while before we drove home, this was greatly appreciated after running for 2 hours and 56 minutes !! . I would recommend this hotel to my friends and will try to book for next years marathon .
on the whole a good hotel some issues though the front door fell of as we went through nit and then it never worked the whole time of our stay very noisy in the room with a staff room being close by a letter from management slid under the door early in the morning requesting credit card details and we got charged for using the hotels pool 3.50 each person each day this they say is to let you use it as many time as you want during the stay we thought that was fly and a little cheeky considering this was well over 100 pound a night
Lovely hotel, bit noisey at nighttime and service in restaurant very slow. Apart from that a lovely stay in london
We chose the hotel because of the location and pool as our daughter loves swimming but it wasn`t obvious that there was a charge for the pool.
really nice hotel. would vist it again
Friendly staff, quiet and comfortable. Thankful for the 63 bus which you can locate right outside Kings Cross Station, otherwise a bit of a hike. Would recommend.
Was not aware that there would be an additional charge to use the leisure facilities and the smoking bedroom was not ideal. Would book again but definitely ask for a non smoking bedroom, particularly when I have a child with me.
Sorted problem regarding our booking, effectively, Pleasant and helpful member of staff.Good value for money. Standard continental breakfast. Fine stard of cleaniliness. Central for events.
Had a brilliant stay at The Holiday Inn. Staff excellent.
The room was fresh and clean, there were 2 doubles in our family room which was innappropriate for our needs as our 13 year old girl and boy are step siblings, we had ato ask for more towels and there were only 3 cups. The TV was out of date but not a major factor for us since we were out enjoying London for the majority of the time. The location was accessible to the places we wanted to go, continental breakfast was adequate. We would certainly stay here again.
Good room but hot. Unable to open windows. Continental breakfast is nothing special
Room quieter than expected due to the double glazing - very good! Service with a smile - lovey continental breakfast - and was allowed to check in earlier which was a huge bonus as we thought we would have to carry our bags with us whilst we went to the show. Would certainly book again. Tnahk you.
The hotel was 13 minutes walk from the tube.It was good value, given London prices, though the family room was a bit cramped for 4 people. Staff were friendly.
