Hotel was lovely, we got it for a brilliant price with full use of spa facilities. Only thing I wasn`t to happy about was the customer care. We asked for fresh towels and we never got them. We asked for out television to get fixed and no one bothered to come. Our phone never worked and no one got back to us. The shower wasn`t to great either.

Good service, clean room, convenient location.Printer for internet access in Reception was out of order. A note stated that item could be emailed to Reception where it could be printed there.Didn`t know how to save a EI boarding card. Reception busy. Gave up and went to Skylon hotel to print it off there.

"The rooom was very good ,I have stayed at this hotel alot over the past few years."

The Regency Hotel is very good and the refurbished rooms are excellent, great for kids with the pool etc. I have stayed a few times, when I went down to get a bite to eat all the tables at the bar area where taken , so I went back to my room , you need to be down early.!!! Good hotel, staff friendly,I like it because its at the edge of Dublin and you can get a bus into the centre from the Swords road outside the hotel.

"Great pool for families"

Good location only 10 mins from city centre by bus practically at door. Pool with a decent side kids area(1.05m deep) and kids bubble pool like a mini jacuzzi. Main pool was 1.5m deep and a good size. Good breakfast. Hotel offered us good value for a family of 4.

"great stay"

we had a great stay, really relaxing, nice clean room and found the staff in the bar and housekeeping really helpful. The leisure facilities were fantastic and at no extra charge we made full use. One little gripe about the hotel was when we booked the shuttle bus the day before for the airport with a receptionist, she never passed on the information and booked our space on the bus which could have caused problems if our flight was earlier. This was fixed though by the new receptionist who sorted out a taxi at their expense...so overall, a very nice hotel and a very good atmosphere.

"A great hotel for visiting the city"

We used the hotel as a base for visiting the city. The hotel is outside the city but easily accessible by several buses. We were very happy with our room and with the service. The gym is well equipped and the pool and leisure facilities were excellent.

"Very disappointing"

Both windows in our room had broken latches that prevented the windows being securely locked. We informed reception of this. Also our room had a balcony in front of the windows and we noticed 100`s of cigarette ends on the balcony just outside the windows. The hotel states that it is a fully non smoking hotel and anybody found smoking would be charged to have the room cleaned. It looked disgusting outside our window.

I was quite disappointed with The Regency Hotel. The room was satisfactory but I found the breakfast to be cold. I was sold a breakfast token despite breakfast being over but was rustled up a meal by 2 very lovely ladies. it was poor value for £10. I also found it verey strange to have to pay for my car parking despite being a guest. I don`t think I would return to the Regency.

"Very disappointing"

The room allocated along with being very dated had holes in the walls and the carpet was torn in several places. We were moved but the 2nd room only slept 3 (we had a party of 4). Residents are also charged 10 euro for overnight parking. Would not use again.

"The room we were in was jaded but OK for our purpose as we did not spend much time in it. "

The hotel information folder had nothing in it except 3 sheets with the leisure club info in it which was not correct. We were thrown out of the leisure centre at 6pm though the internet states that it was open from 8 - 8 (kids out by 7pm). The hotel information folder stated this info. We were gutted and so was our 4 year old who could not understand why she could not spend longer in the pool. The leisure facilities were high on our list of criteria when we were looking for a hotel in Dublin. Silver fish and red ant sort of thing in the bathroom on the last night - good job we did not find them on night 1! On a positive note, housekeeping have returned my calls about lost property though did not locate it. Location - fine for our needs. Not too sure I would stay again.........

"dissapointing and low standard hotel"

Dear Sirs As this stay was a surprise for my daughter I was bitterly dissapointed. The family room consisted of a very small room with only two beds. The room was old and smelly. Even the upgrade had only two beds and the hotel insisted that to have a family room this was the standard with a camp bed as the extra bed. Also the fire alarm went off 2 times during the night. I will never be back and would not reccommend this hotel. I will be writing a letter of complaint re these issues. Also your company failed to tell me what is expected of a famoly room

"Comfortable and Cheery"

The Regency was one of the first hotels I ever stayed at in Dublin. I have always found it comfortable and friendly and since the renovations have been done it is even more so. A good all rounder.

"Very nice hotel however we had building work being done next door from 8am until 6pm. "

We had been travelling since 3:30am Thursday morning, got to the hotel and found builders in the next room (very noisy), we went out for the day and evening and on our return to the hotel, we found a function taking place with live music which did not end until 1am - not great when you have not had much sleep - then at 8am in the morning the builders started banging again. We had a lovely time in Dublin, however not very much sleep and have found the whole stay very tiring. However the room service was very good and the hotel staff were friendly and helpful.

"Excellent value for money, within easy reach of airport and city centre, very comfortable and clean"

Staff were helpful, the restaurant food was ok although there could be a little more variety with desserts, breakfast was excellent. The t.v;s could be upgraded. The hotel also provided free transport back to the air port, it would be great if they also picked up on arrival otherwise, this was our first visit to Dublin we would certainly come back and stay at the Regency.
