Westbury Hotel Mayfair was an excellent hotel, we could not fault it. We hope we have the same lucky transfer next time we book a hotel.
Good hotel and pleasant staff. Room very dark but as it was in the back/centre it was quiet. Tried to charge me for breakfast though. Breakfast ok - not oustanding. Would definitely go there again.
Perfect location for walking to all the best tourist destinations-Covent Graden, Leicester Square, Oxford Street.Hotel comfortable & room spacious. Unfortunately the light fitting rattled when anyone walked on the floor above which made for an unsettled nights rest-a small criticism that impacted our stay.
The standard of this hotel and location is very good. Whilst most of the service by members of staff was excellent, there is room for improvement by others.
lovely room, excellent staff, only minor complaint was that steam room wasnt operational on our visit
Very good hotel in excellent location for underground, restaurants and entertainment. Staff at the xxxxx xxxxx Hotel extremely potlite and helpful. Spotlessly clean well appointed accommodation with very good breakfast.
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We only had bar food, but it was very good and they served breakfast items out of hours, so they were very obliging. The room was very clean, the bed mattress had seen better days and could have done with replacing but for 1 night it was fine. The street outside was noisy, but that comes from a country bumpkin who usually has silence at night, and you cant get a hotel that is so central to the Theatreland without being noisy. Overall, exceptionally good value for money.
The hotel was perfect for our requirements. The rooms and service were good and the jacussi was the extra my sons needed. I would recommend this hotel
I recently stayed with my daughter for two nights at this hotel. It was perfectly situated for easy access to, restaurants, shops, and theatres. The hotel was very comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful which ensured our stay was memorable. The only food we tried was at breakfast which provided a good choice of either full English (including hash browns!) or Continental style. It was good value to have this included in the price which now seems quite unusual for London hotels. We would definately use this hotel again and recommend it.
The only negative is the mattress which is sprung, and I dont really like those, it hurt my back a bit. Oh and the TV only had a few channels with no info and the films were £10! Ripoff!Apart from that the Hotel is GREAT! -The staff are very helpful and professional- Double room very clean and nice-Breakfast (buffet with full English etc) very relaxing, delicious, with classical music playing in the background, great coffee.-The jacuzzi was nice and the changing rooms are impeccable, extra towels everywhere-And of course the location is great tooI do recommend this hotel, It was not at all disappointing.
Charming hotel - ex. staff - we really enjoyed our stay
5 minute walk in Covent Garden area. Perfect for restaurants, theatres, shopping and bars. Hotel excellent quality, clean, friendly and breakfast was great....no problems at all...highly recommended.
Lovely room, good breakfast, helpful staff.
Very nice hotel, good breakfast and facilities and within easy reach of Covent Garden and Leicester Square.......
Fully met our expectations (which are high), would definitely stay there again and would recommend to friends.
The hotel had a wonderful ambience; the staff at reception were very helpful: the room was lovely, a good size and very cleanThe hotel is centrally based for the City and within easy reach of Covent Garden and Leicester Square. We had breakfast included in the price and again, the staff were very attentive and the food was good.We would not hesitate to use this hotel again; Excellent value for money...Many Thanks Hotel Direct..
this hotel is central for all of londons attractions, and easy for catching londons transport
public areas are nice as was the breakfast, on the 1st night our door lock broke(nobody`s fault) and it took the engineer over an our to fix it so we didn`t have time to get ready before our restaurant reservation-not so much as apology from anyone! the rooms are ok but the shower temperature settings are either very hot or off! woken early one morning by housekeeping ringing the doorbell and knocking on the door to try to come in to clean our room even though we had do not disturb sign on and not been to breakfast yet! The biggest problem is when you arrive they TAKE £50 per night from your debit card just in case you spend any money. if you refuse they shrug their shoulders and won`t check you in. when we checked out we were told it would take 5 working days to put it back into our account..disgraceful!!! again a shrug of the shoulders when we complained. reception staff at the xxxxx just don`t care. def not worth the money, def not a 4* def won`t be staying again
Thanks to Simon at Hotel Direct we landed this Hidden Gem called the xxxxx xxxxx Hotel. From the minute we arrived (1 minute from tube) the reception was first class. Maria booked us in and allocated us a lovely room. The staff where all smiling and could not do enough. The breakfast in the restaurant was excellent and even after checkout the concierge offered to keep our bags so that we could enjoy our last day. I strongly recommend this hotel. The facilities and service where first class making our stay rather special. Thank You to all.
Rooms were hygienic but homely, staff were helpful, courteous and pleasant. Never stayed in such a `posh` hotel before and was delighted with the `surprise` choice of Theatreland 4*! Afternoon tea in the hotel feels like something out of a Miss Marple story at a Lyons Corner House! Only drawback was cover/service charges being added, but this was everywhere in London on meals and drinks so watch out when tipping.
Location good, Staff good, breakfast good, room average, TV useless Japon crisis and no news channels worked.
Good value hotel. Breakfast was very disappointing for a 4* hotel, but plenty of it. Rooms are small, but clean and comfortable.
Heating didn`t work in our room and extractor fan in bathroom didn`t work, hotel tried to charge us £12 for mini bar that we didn`t use, bed very uncomfortable, breakfast wasn`t fresh been under heat lighting for a long time it seemed.
Hotel was ideally placed, room although on small side was comfortable and clean. Bed rather hard! If you like marmite on your toast in the morning - take your own they do not have it!! Also watch out for automatically added service charge when ordering in the bar/lounge. However we would return if down in London for a show again.
Public rooms v smart. Staff helpful. Breakfast OK. Room a little tired but comfortable. Only 5 TV channels!?
Comfortable, convenient with great staff.
A very friendly and comfortable hotel, ideally located for Theatreland. We totally enjoyed our stay except for the weather! Can we book sunshine for next time!!!
comfortable room with good climate control.pricey bar. good breakfast, never easy to keep everything hot on the buffet, usual naff toaster.
The only thing I did not like was having to present my credit card to reception and them taking £50 out per day that I stayed in case I used any facilitiesand then at the end of my stay they said that the £150 would be returned to my credit card within 3-5 days.......I did not like that idea but was told it was expected.
We really appreciated all the efforts of the staff. From the receptionists and dining room staff as well as the concierge. Everyone was so very pleasant. The room was of a more than reasonable standard and the breakfast was hot and nicely presented. We would certainly book again.
Could only give 10 out of 10 and 12 for breakfast
Good priced hotel, which provided an excellent breakfast. The rooms were a little stuffy and beware looking at anything in the mini bar, as soon as you pick anything up to look at it, you are charged as they work on sensors.Do not use the bar unless you are prepared to pay £11.00 for 2 cups of tea.A good central hotel with pleasant staff and I would use it again.
My wife and I booked two nights at this hidden gem as it was close to the theatre district. The staff and service was very friendly and accommodating, the room was beautiful and spacious and the location was superb. We would highly recommend this hotel to people who want a bit of style and sophistication whilst visiting the capital. A&D
One criticism you could not open windows although there was airconditioning I stil felt as though I would have like to have been able to open the window.
Great location, pleasant accommodation; restaurant staff a bit pushy, and took the order down incorrectly. Also optional service charge added to bill without warning.
