All the staff I encountered were friendly and helpful. The room had everything I needed and I appreciated the bright lighting.Lovely bathroom with sunken bathtub.Beautifully furnished sitting room for guests.Everywhere was spotless.
I booked Harrington Hall as a surprise for my husbands 60th birthday, it was our 1st visit to Dublin & I wanted it to be special. I wasn`t disappointed! We arrived very early in the morning, so I knew our room would not be ready, but Mary on reception did her best to arrange for an early check. When we opened the door, I was over the moon, we where in a beautiful suite, it was fabulous!! Thank you for making our visit to Dublin really special.
Great location, lovely room, only two drawbacks. One, the pillows definately need upgrading! Two ,the noise outside at night [ 4am] is not condusive to a good nights sleep!!
Stayed overnight to see Dublin life before travelling to Wexford. We stayed in Parnell Suite huge room and comfortable with Georgian style through out.The hotel just oozes class.Breakfast was great full Irish breakfast. The hotel situated on Harcourt st just up from Stephens green and ideal location to Dublin night life at temple bar and shopping in heart of Dublin
The Harrington Hall is a lovely hotel, with very helpful staff and great service. The rooms and decor are very nice. The only downside is the noise from outside in the early hours.....hence the but! If you don`t mind being woken up between 4 and 5 in the morning by cars beeping their horns and revellers leaving the clubs across the road then you won`t have a problem.
Excellent, Wonderful, Fantastic value for money. Only 1 minor problem, which I forgot to mention to them: the light over the bathroom mirror kept flickering (Room 3B) and I worked out how to turn it off.I would love to stay there again. Thanks.
Lovely Friendly Hotel. Will Be Back!!
just a little off the beaten track
Biggest bedroom I have ever slept in.Very nice Georgian house.Within walking distance to Kilkenny shop,Avoca shop and very good restaurant called The Pigs Ear.Would stay here again.
A great little hotel, comfortable & clean room, great customer service and 20% off at the attached 1900 retaurant. The food here was delicious - I ate there every night! The only down side for me was my 1st night was in a room facing the road - didnt get a wink sleep with lots of rowdy people on the street. The hotel staff moved me to the back & it was perfect!
The hotel was fine, breakfast was ample and had a great variety of choice. The staff were all very pleasant and when we asked about changing from a front room to one at the back, the receptionist couldn`t have been more helpful. She gave us the key to a different room and suggested we had a look at it before we actually moved. The move was purely because of the noise from the neighbouring nightclubs.. They played loud music until 3.30 am. - then the clients sang and shouted for a while before they finally went home!
Good location for city centre. Delightful staff. Comfortable rooms. Only downside is the two nightclubs directly across the road. Noise level high until at least 3.30 am. However was offered earplugs by receptionist and advised to ask for rooms at the rear of the hotel when returning.
We stayed at this hotel on 13th and 14th February, and again on 17th February. Everything was to our satisfaction. In particular, this is a great base for exploring the area around St Stephen`s Green, and indeed, Central Dublin.Highly recommended!
Very clean rooms at back would be not as noisy but still very good will use again
very noisy at night from thin walls
Our room was nice and clean but it was right behind the reception so we could hear door bell and of the night the three night clubs opposite are very noisy until about three. Taxis beeping there horns at half six in morning outside also.
A pleasant, indeed classy boutique hotel close to St Stephen`s Green and within walking distance of main shopping areas, Trinity College, and art galleries. etc. My room was tastefully furnished with full bathroom suite, and very clean. Good supply of tea and coffee (but no mini bar). The hotel does not have a restaurant or bar, but can supply food and alcohol as room service at reasonable costs. Good breakfast. Staff very pleasant and helpful, and there is a big sitting room downstairs where you can read newspapers and access internet. Only drawback for me was that I had a front room overlooking Harcourt street down which trams trundle very noisily every 15 minutes or so late into the night. Advise requesting a back room when you book.
beautiful georgian building, excellent staff and service- does this compensate for a night with no sleep? Unfortunately not! The advertising for hotel fails to mention proximity of night clubs and we were not warned when checking in. Entire street becomes a night club haven, with drunk rowdy behaviour and hundreds of taxis blocking the rentire road. No soundproofing and hence we got no sleep. Complained in the morning to be told we have lots of complaints and nothing could be done about it. passing our comments on to the manager is not a good enough response. Rooms at front of this hotel should not be booked at the weekend! This experience ruined our weekend and blighted our view of Dublin. Honesty is the best policy if you want repeat business!
Staff polite. Breakfast small and seemingly from the local supermarket. Not a four-star experience by any means. Double room was smaller than advertised, and the noise at 4.00am when the clubs closed was unbearable.
Everything was very good except the situation of our room. It was overlooking the main street and the noise between 2am and 3.30am was highly disturbing. Sleep was impossible.
Lovely house hotel. Very comfortable and very interesting history portrayed on the walls in the form of invitations from buckingham palace etc. Modernity successfully forfeited for the sake of authenticity. Lovely breakfast staff too! A little pricey, but if you like history you`ll be satisfied.
Nice enough place, just very Victorian in style and in its way. Great location very close to the city
street noisy, and pillows very hard and uncomfortable, very central, staff friendly.
Well situated in central Dublin with useful Luas stop close by. Night spoiled by club exit at 01.00am and noise lasted for over an hour. Some strands of hair found in bath and on pillow - not very inviting. Attractive building and interiors.
We had such a great time in your city. All amenities were there. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The Harrington has a family house feel with a warm welcome and beautiful sitting room. The rooms are comfy with lovely bathrooms. Everything is very well appointed. The location is perfect - just off St Stephen`s Green. The breakfasts are delicious!
The check in time is 2pm and wait for it checking out time is 12
After reading other reviews who all mentioned noise at night decided to book anyway. Our room was at the front and the reviews were right there was noise from nightclubs but the staff could not have been more helpful and we were relocated to a room at the back. Rooms were spotless and comfortable and the hotel`s location was within easy walking distance from St. Stephen`s Green and also the coach stop from the airport. Would certainly return.
Bedroom nice. Chose one at the rear of the hotel having read warnings that nearby nightclubs could make the front noisy. Very quiet on both nights of our stay. Public rooms very nice. Breakfast not special for the money.
Excellent Staff very friendly.
check in time a bit late at 14.00. If travelling from UK early had to wait till 2pm outside. Staff could have been a bit considarate and arrange the check in early on request.Otherwise good facilities and very clean hotel. Closeto city centre. NOt much traffic noise.
