Perfect location . clean and tidy room Very freindly and helpful staff
Friendly welcome. Got an upgrade without having to ask.Tea and coffee facilities available.Helpful staff. Would recommend to friends and family.
Had an excellent stay at the Grafton Capital and will definitely return...The staff were excellent, receptionist, bar staff and security...... so helpful and friendly...Fantastic situation and excellent accommodation...Book this hotel - you wont be disappointed....Thanks for a great weekend break!
good friendly staff
Staff, especially room maids were excellent, however, room was not of a good standard, mattress needed renewing, bathroom desperately in need of refurbishment, hairdryer poor (tok FOREVER to dry hair), no complimentary biscuits to go with tea and coffee in room. Having stayed at this hotel on previous occasions we are saddened to see how much it has deteriorated both in appearance and service. We will not be returning.
Old Hotel but in reasonable condition. Had not got my reservation when I arrived and thought I wass going to get bounced! Breakfast - staff very helpful but "hot" food was barely warm. Room rather noisy as opposite pub but I guees non facing rooms would be quieter. I would give them 6out of 10.
I booked the Grafton for the weekend to celebrate my partners birthday. After looking at several reviews i was undecided about this hotel. However when we arrived the staff were very friendly especially Claire who works on reception. The room was basic but comfortable. There is a disco downstairs so if noise is a problem then suggest a room on a higher floor. The Hotel is very central and I would recommend to anyone travelling to Dublin on a budget .
Good value hotel. Asked for a quiet room as I was in Dublin for exams. They were happy to help. Some traffic noise but easy to zone out. I didn`t stay whilst the bar was open so don`t know how noisy it is. Overall, I was very happy with this hotel and would recommend it. :)
Stayed over new year, the location of the hotel was excellent with bars, restaurants and shops all close by and the club was really handy for celebrating the new year in style. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful and gave us an upgrade on our room without us even asking! The breakfast was ok, all in all a great stay.
The hotel location is perfect. Very central. The service was average. nothing exceptional but no complaints however, the hotel has a pub/bar/club and the music can be heard even on the 4th floor in the rooms till late hours in the morning. We stayed Fri Sat and Sun and we heard the music past 2-3 am on fri/sat and even after midnite on Sun despite double glazing in the rooms!Think I would like my money back or a considerable amount back for the inconvenience.
We stayed at the Grafton Capital Hotel in order to attend a wedding in Dublin, with an early flight the following morning. The hotel has an excellent location in quite a nice part of Dublin city centre. The room was clean and well furnished, with a dressing table and a side table with chair. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was clean with copious hot water. The hotel has excellent transport connections in Dublin city centre, being about five minutes walk from the "Aircoach" stop on Suffolk Street. Due to our early departure, we didn`t utilise any of the hotel`s other facilities, such as breakfast. I suspect that guests would use local restaurants, bars and coffee shops. In summary, a comfortable room at a good price (£69 for a double, Wednesday night) in an excellent location. Hard to beat for room-only.
Just spent a fabulous weekend in Dublin on a girls weekend. The Grafton Capitol is in an excellent location, very central to shops and bars. Staff were friendly and very helpful. The rooms were fine but quite grubby, carpet and and curtains in dire need of cleaning, and although the bathroom looked ok on the surface was in need of some maintenance. Water didn`t drain from sink and shower curtain needed replacing. Overall I would stay here again as it was a great location.
Clean comfortable room; good breakfast; thoroughly enjoyed our three day break.
hotel and staff great would return location top thing about this hotel just 2 small things would of been great to have a small quite bar to relax at end of long dayother thing i love a shower in morning this was a disappointment had to run round to get wet and pressure and temp kept changing
Shops and bars close by. Rooms are clean and staff helpful, also carparks close by.
Excellent location, some unfriendly staff.
Went for an overnight stay in Dublin with my daughter and got a good rate for the Grafton Capital. This hotel has definitely seen better days, there are certainly no frills, but then for the money we were not expecting too much. Staff were friendly and efficient, bedding was clean, but there was a stale smell in the room, there were three lamps, only one had a bulb that worked. For very little this hotel could be dragged into the 21st century.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Hotel in great location and bar in hotel was great as was the food in there. Rooms were rather stuffy though and Hot, even when the weather was cool. Room was noisy even with the window closed.Enjoyed it and would recommend it to others.
Rooms: very plain, not like web photos! Staff: bland, not the Irish hospitality I was expecting! Bar: more like a sports bar, beware if there is football on there will be no room! Tv: not satellite, although was not there for tv! Overall disappointing, do not go by the website very misleading....
My husband, daughter and myself went to Ireland for the first time and wanted a hotel that was central so that we could walk to most sites and not have to rely on taxis. I would most certainly recommend this hotel for that. You could not ask for a more central position. The room and bathroom were clean, comfortable and of a good size with very comfortable beds. We shared a triple room and there was ample space for the three of us. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Only down side was no airconditioning or fans in the room. Ireland was having a heat wave so we had to have the windows open at night and it was a bit noisy. We had a lovely holiday in Dublin and will go back for another visit and we will most certainly will go back to this hotel.
Bathroom / shower in need of a little redecoration / modernisation and the availability of a proper hairdryer would be an advantage. Also net curtains were very dirty but overall good
The bed was large and spacious but unfortunately felt like a slab of concrete....room was very stuffy and we didn`t realise we could have asked for a fan as no air conditionig. Overall an excellent venue.
OVERALL THE ROOM WAS GOOD BUT THE BATHROOM WAS TINY. I WAS ON TOP FLOOR SO IT WAS AN ATTIC STYLE ROOM. THE SHOWER HEAD WAS MISSING. THE TILING WAS BADLY REPAIRED AND THE BATH WAS AGAINST THE SLOPING WALL.. IM 172CM TALL AND COULDNT STAND UP STRAIGHT IN THE SHOWER. HOWEVER THE BEDROOM WAS GOOD
I have stay at the Grafton a couple of times and have found it good, although the rooms could do with a lick of paint and some new wallpaper. Will stay there again.
Very comfortable and conveniently situated
Very comfortable room and efficient and obliging staff
