"Convienent for Edinburgh Cuty Stay"

2nd time staying with you room good. Nice breakfast it is off putting the cutlery you either need to invest in a new dishwasher or someone who knows how to take stains off mugs plates and Bowles properly. The waiting staff are run off there feet in the morning and do a really good job. Your receptions are terrific and really need commendation for the Stirling job they do

"change of name....slightly confused when we got booking confirmation...as no one told us !"

Fabulous soft pillows and sheets! hotel reception bit stark do you need a massive internet table? not relaxing to walk into! small tables and chairs would be better..dining layout bit weird with high back chairs..not a good look! breakfast v good but no coffee pots available...we used a teapot..otherwise generally good...oh and do the staff need to use the same lift lugging laundry bins as the guests?

"Satisfied customer"

Enjoyed our stay but would have liked to have had more teabags and milk in the rooms.two ordinary teabags not enough when you got back from your day out if you drank them. then none when you woke in the morning. Cleanliness and hygene in the room was excellent and good deal with the price. I would return.

Very nice staff, the room was nice and chic, clean and with all the comforts (king size super comfortable bed included). Amazing location, lovely breakfast. I would definitely suggest it and in case of another trip to Edinburgh, I would not hesitate in booking a room at the Point Hotel.

"Training required"

Stayed as a gift from my wife for birthday. At first glance the hotel looked amazing. Reception staff could not have been more polite and helpful. Went to room which was excellent. My only issues with this visit was the service in the restaurant. The staff are clearly in need of training, bot in service and in what they are selling. No checks made to table, no advice on dishes. No up selling, which having worked in nearly every aspect of hospitality I was shocked to see. I am pretty sure management are not aware of this as I would have envisioned high training from your group. The only other issue I had was the cleaning staff. Was really lovely to have a late checkout of 12pm. However this was interrupted by 2 staff loudly arguing about rot as outside our door at around 8:45. I appreciate cleaning needs done, however given check out time I did not expect to be woken at this time by an argument, followed by 1 member of staff very loudly hoovering and banging around obviously unhappy.

"Very Good Stay"

Had a quick overnight stay here while attending a concert. Room was excellent, recently revamped and very comfortable. Hotel is undergoing renovations, but disruption was minimal. Would stay here again. Excellent.

"Windows"

Room 112 has floor to celing windows which means you can be seen from the pub opposite as well as the other side of the junction outfront. Otherwise, the hotel, hotel staff and food were all great.

"Great central location, staff helpfull and lovely view of the castle. "

Surroundings when you come out the lift to your room, let down the overall impression. Rooms are standard but view of the castle out of large window is stunning. Due to central location can be noisy at night so ear plugs are provided - although we had 2 packets suppled but one was empty. The room kettle didn`t work and there was an unsightly stain on the bed sheets. Bathroom and shower again basic. For a one night stay and for the price this hotel was fine but if I were to stay again I would test kettle, check bedsheets and earplugs "before" going out for the night so that they could be put right.

Stayed at the Point for 2 nights with my daughter. chose this hotel for its close proximity to the castle. Very strange hotel with vast empty areas by the lift, and our twin room was long and narrow like staying in a dormitory. Lighting was not good and the controls unusual. The breakfast was good. I would not recommend this hotel, it seemed more like a hostel. Could do better.

Great location, really helpful, polite staff. Lovely food and the bar`s nice too. Room was a good size with a huge bed. Need new hall carpets though these are showing their age. That`s being a bit harsh maybe - I`ve already told the staff I`ll be back!
