We were 3 people [ 2 adults and a child] staying in a large family room and we had to request additional toiletries each day as these were in very limited supply. This was a very unusual experience for us considering the grade of hotel we were staying in.

Room 904 was very warm, no air conditioning, resulting in having window open causing extreme noise from street outside. Toilet seat and toilet lid badly fitted, No bedside cabinet for two people, only one making things awkward in the night. Quilt on bed far too big for a double bed. Restaurant tables in arch windows, cleanliness on floor not good and on surrounds.

Our honeymoon stay was made extra special by the beautiful room with fantastic panoramic views over Edinburgh. The room oozes charm and Scottich Victorian elegance. All staff were very welcoming, best hotel stay we have enjoyed in Uk.

T his was my second visit to the Scotsman and it will certainly not be my last. My daughter and I had a lovely time. The hotel is in an ideal position for the station and access to the city.
