Excellent location for the Aviva Stadium just 20 minutes walk away. The hotel was very nice, rooms lovely, large bed,tea and coffee available in room .Staff lovely and helpful.Beautiful bar area and an excellent breakfast the next morning.Car parking available on a first come basis but you can park around the side street on saturday free of charge. Would stay again here when i next go to Dublin.
friendly staff
But I haven`t received any response from either your company or the Hilton group. The room was stifling so had to sleep with wondow open all nightWe were woken at 7am with drilling and loud hammering and when complained to main reception the noise still continued and weren`t offered even a decent apology.WI-FI didn;t work and again when we asked for assistance from reception they didn`t even bother calling us backThe final straw though has to be the fact that the hotel couldn`t even be bothered to respond to are detailed list of complaints on the feedback form we handed in at reception on our checkout so why bother having the forms if the company doesn`t care how they treat their customers.
Fantastic place to stay, Hilton have done a great refurb and the service is fantastic tooHighly recommended
Excellent service beautiful food, very comfortable beds amenities first class I and my three friends will definitely be going back for another visit
One issue i had was at breakfast we had to queue for approx 30 mins to be seated when there was alot of free tables, some of the staff walked passed us on a few occasions without any explanation as to why were not being seated, the queue on both mornings was out the dining room door. The other issue i had although this was probably out of your hands was the shortage of water, we were prepared for there to be a shortage in the evenings after 8 pm but we had no water all day on sat and when the water came back on it was black.
The room and general service aspects were good but it may have been helpful to have known that extensive alterations were taking place at the hotel
We visited the hotel last year and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This year we were disappointed with the stay. Staff were excellent as usual and service was great. However, we were not told that this year the bar/ restaurant area was closed and the hotel closed off the main restaurant so, apart from a very small bar, there was nowhere to eat or have a drink. The hotel was packed out with only a few facilities available. Probably will not come back again to this hotel
On line it suggets Airport bus to O`Connel street but there is a bus direct to the hotel. Information needs updating
We arrived very early, thankfully room available immediately. I liked the hotel and the most of the staff. One problem was Breakfast, the maitre de was rude and dismissive, and she was not interested that our breakfast hadn`t arrived; the buffet was by this time - 10.20ish - stale. We had two really lovely waitresses but the fresh eggs had to be brought from the kitchen from the other side of the hotel hence cold eggs and hard boiled eggs. I have always found breakfast in a hotel an important start to the day if that goes wrong ...
we stayed the weekend at the hotel, just super, super super, the staff were fab, room prefect, breatfast amazing,,,take a bow Burlington
Room was fantastic as were the staff. Would book again
The hotel is large but very tired. The furniture in the rooms is old and marked. The drawers in the chests were falling to pieces with some completely off their runners and in the bathroom sealing round the basin and bath was black and pealing off. When booking a double room I expected a double bed. But all rooms on our floor seemed to be twin beds. I had booked two rooms for my son and his wife as well.I would not book with Hotel Direct again as I object to paying in advance at the time of booking. I have never had to do that before.
We stayed at the Burlington for 4 nights in May/June. The location of the hotel was great and the food and service were excellent. The hotel has an impressive foyer where it is pleasant to linger over a drink or even a meal. However, the furniture throughout the hotel is showing serious signs of wear and tear. The property is in serious need of refurbishment and we understand that it is in the works. Once the work is completed, the overall rating would no doubt go from Good to Excellent.
The hotel was great and very good value through HotelDirect. We really appreciated the personal service from HotelDirect staff.
Wide variety of food at breakfast, pleasant rooms. Nice and quiet, helpful staff.
The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff at breakfast could have been more accomodating we had to ask each morning for our hot drinks. The food was very nice and lots of choices.
The hotel was great. Nice spacious room. Clean and modern. Friendly staff. The food was lovely and there was a very good variety to choose from at the breakfast buffet. 5 minutes in a taxi to Temple bar. Will definitely stay here again.
would def book again
We enjoyed our stay on the whole. The room was very clean and cosy. Staff were helpful and friendly. The food could have been better. Pub grub really. The sports lounge was very noisy with so many large TV screens showing football. We were disappointed to find the restaurant closed both nights. It`s a bit out of the centre of Dublin which is fine if the weather is OK. Otherwise it means taxis.
great service. fantastic food. beautiful hotel will be back.
