We had a brilliant stay- from the outside the hotel looks amazing, the entrance is probably one of the grandest I have seen, complete with rearing stone griffins and huge wrought iron archway. With the fairy lights and Christmas decorations it looked like something out of Hogwarts; a really magical first impression. The interior did not disappoint either- the lobby is like being inside an iced cake- with beautiful plasterwork on the ceilings, several mezzanine tiers and sparkly chandeliers to die for.Our room was ultra modern, super clean and with all mod cons. The bed was massive and we had a view to boot- directly overlooking New Scotland Yard! We walked to St Ermins from Victoria train station and again walked in to Covent Garden once we had checked in- all within easy access. We are definitely staying here again, it`s our new favourite place to crash when in London, but don`t tell anyone- this is London`s best kept secret. Sssh!
every thing as it should be very nice staff ,clean room no could not fault it enjoyed our very short stay will do it again soon .
Hard to criticise, my only comment is if you have a room on the inside of the building the outlook is over the hotels services, air con units generally very messy...hence the rooms are fitted with blinds which obscure the view, thankfully but starve the room of any natural light ..
Every body within the hotel staff we had dealings with we`re fantastic cheery happy helpful what more can you ask for. The surroundings of the hotel are excellent. The location within easy walking distance of Westminster is ideal for seeing London`s main attractions. We have used this hotel before and will again.
Continental Breakfast £19 is too expensive.Tray EAT or Starbucks next door for about £3.....
The room was comfortable, White Co accessories a lovely toch, a very pleasant stay and would deffinately return and also reccommend
Excellent quality, very high spec.staff very friendly and helpful but not intrusive. Beautiful surroundings, it was December so lovely sparkle everywhere. Food in restaurant was good. Rooms very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Plenty of tea coffee etc. First time I`ve come across a coffee perculator and takeaway cups in rooms. Drinks pricey. We stayed for a theatre break trip and would highly recommend this hotel. Right next to tube station too.
Excellent hotel. Well worth the stay. Room was very good, warm and with all the necessary facilities. Staff were very polite and helpful. Food was excellent. Position of hotel excellent for sight seeing. Everything within walking distance.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in London wanting a cenral location. The hotel was brilliant, the service was fantastic and our room was spotless. Staff came in e veryday to clean the bedroom and replace all dirty towels and linen with fresh ones. Going out of the hotel if you turn left there was Westminster Abbey and if you turn right there was Buckingham Palace. The hotel was in a fantastic location and me and my boyfriend had the best anniversary here i wouold definetly go again. We are now planning to come back in June.
There was a room service breakfast menu which offered far better choice than the continental breakfast which was the only option we were offered. Why was this room service type option not generally available for those requiring only a small breakfast? Otherwise the hotel was better than good in terms of comfort, cleanliness, service and location
Could not fault the attention to detail from the staff at this hotel. Understated elegance.
The hotel is very charming, though, I was awoken in the night by the noise of the external air conditioning units. The noise prevented further sleep and I had to request that another room was located. The request was accepted and the staff were helpful.
We stayed for two nights in St Ermins (booking via Hotel.com) and had a fabulous stay. The hotel is beautiful, the staff are friendly and very helpful and can`t do enough for you. Our room was delightful (bigger than hotels I`ve stayed in and paid full price!) everything we needed and more in the room and the lovely bathroom products were from The White Company. The hotel location is great for tourist attractions and shopping. I won`t stay anywhere else in London again!!
St. Ermins is not only a beautifully refurbished and posh hotel, it has an extrodinary staff who make it their business to serve your every need. The location near St. James Park, Westminster Abbey, and Buckingham Palace as well as bus and tube service, can`t be beat. Hope to return soon!
Comfy beds in a stylish room. Spotless bathroom with lovely toiletries and fluffy towels. Friendly and helpful staff. Superb building in a terrific location for accessing the Central London tourist attractions.
Fantastic hotel , staff very friendly and help full would definitely go back again
I tooky partner for two nights for his Birthday. I got an absolutely fantastic rate and the hotel was absolutely fantastic. All of the staff were friendly and only too willing to help in whatever way they could. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. Placed in Westminster it gave us a great base and the view of the famous New Scotland Yard spinning sign was a real treat! The rooms were spotlessly clean in all areas and the Caxton bar with its cocktails made a great end of the night venue before heading upstairs to the room. The quality of the hotel really was the icing on the cake for our trip. Thank you St Ermins!
The four us booked this as we it was near Victoria Station and we were going on a full day trip on the Orient Express. We arrived at 7.30am and asked whether they could hold our bags as we would not be checking in until 11.30pm. The receptionist was very helpful and informed us that our rooms were actually ready and we could put our bags in our rooms and check in now - what a service. The rooms were comfortable and the minibar and complimentary tea and coffee area was perfect. The bathroom was modern and clean. It was only a brief stay but a memorable one as the service and hotel surroundings were excellent
Great hotel, central, nice staff, no real negatives
This was an amazing hotel which is stunning inside and out the rooms were well presented and staff very helpful and friendly. Location was also excellent facing Scotland yard and shirt walking distance to Buckingham palace and Westminster . I would recommend this hotel highly and would defiantly stay here again upon my next visit to London
Thank you very much for a comfortable stay at your beautiful hotel. Everything was to an excellent standard.
Really helpful staff, and the room was really relaxing, we both enjoyed the stay.
Very welcoming. Friendly, helpful and discreet staff
Much improved since its refurbishment. Spacious, comfortable bar and lounges - attentive staff. Bedrooms small, but comfortable. Worst feature - badly designed shower room - no space to put your own stuff, no adequate towel rail, shower door that opens outwards, dripping over the floor and banging into the bedroom door
First time we have stayed at this hotel and were very impressed. It is very convenient for Victoria Station and we were able to walk to the theatre we had booked so it suited us well. The room was comfortable if a little small and had an excellent shower. A friend met us at the hotel for breakfast for which there was of course an additional charge but which we thought was rather expensive at almost £20 for Continental breakfast even though it was very good. Other than that we were delighted.
Hotel situated within 5 minute walk of Buckingham Palace. Well appointed room, very clean and well presented. Staff very helpful.Would recommend hotel to anyone wanting to stay in this area.
well mannered, very polite service, would recommend a stay here.all staff very friendly excellent stay.will be staying here again later in the year.
Staff were extremely welcoming and we enjoyed our stay here. Room was quite compact but was comfortable for one night stay
This is a beautiful hotel in an excellent location, from the moment you arrive at the gates it is special. You are greeted at the steps and from that monent you are looked after in a very proffesional way by an excellent team. The staff are all well trained in customer servises, this is well displayed by the servise you get. we did not spend a hugh amount of time in the hotel as we went out every day. We had lovely cocktails in the bar and had a tasty dinner in the grill on 1 evening, expensive but worth the expreience. The only downside is the 12.5% servise charge automaticly added in the bar and grill, we did have the option of not paying it when checking out so we did not pay it. Our room was a delux double ,small for 3 people so i dont know how 4 would manage but as we were only in it to sleep it was not a major problem to us this time. overall a lovely hotel.
we stayed just the one night but thoroughly enjoyed it. its in a great location with a lovely setting and the staff were very friendly and helpful. will stay there again iam sure
Our two rooms were upgraded to a suite and a king room - so pleased as this was a very special occasion. The decor is new and modern. Very bright and airy.Beware though - a continental breakfast costs £19.
One of the best hotels I have stayed in. From decor through to staff. Every area excelliant.
We stayed at The St Ermins for a recent award ceremony and a bit of sightseeing.Fantastic location for seeing the sights and the hotel was excellent - especially the breakfast and the lovely bar staff who dealt with a very busy bar with great efficiency! The gardens are beautiful and a special mention to the member of staff who ordered our taxis - polite, efficient and a great smile. Thank you from all at Richmond Village Nantwich!
great staff, fabulous hotel, good location!
The staff were all brilliant, nothing was too much trouble. The building had some pretty spectacular features, the rooms were clean, smart and modern with functional and stylish fixtures and fittings. Will be going back.
Great location, recently refurbished, really comfortable, friendly staff, fabulous breakfast
We stayed for two nights on a room only basis between Christmas and the New year. From the minute that we drew up to when we left we had a wonderful time. ALL of the staff from the reception desk to housekeeping were very friendly and even when passing one in the corridor, always had a smile and wished you `Good Morning`
Myself and my best friend spent a fabulous couple of days in this hotel. Such a pretty, warm and welcoming hotel. i look forward to staying here the next time i visit london. staff very helful and welcoming this was a gift for my 60th Birthday from my daughters and i cant tell you how much we enjoyed this hotel its just perfect. December is a fantastic time of year to visit london i just wish i could have stayed longer and had a little more time to explore. but there is always next time.thank you so much for a wonderful stay.
