Mould on our bedroom wall, along with stains on walls and carpet. A hole had been kicked into the bathroom door. Inches of dust in and behind radiators. No hot water in the morning. Would not recommend
Hotel room had plaster falling off wall . Tiles broken in bathroom. Shower cracked and mould. Sink cracked . . Light fittings missing bulbs missing. Carpet needs cleaning
We were only there for one night but we were up in what felt like the clouds! Upon arrival, we wanted to freshen up after our journey - there was no hot water forthcoming from the shower. So a wash it would have to be.....no plug for the sink!!!! When leaving our room to go to our show, I asked if this could be remedied and unfortunately nothing was done.
Nice hotel only about 10 mins walk from the theater! It felt very safe and clean! Plus the grab and go breakfast was a plus. The staff was so friendly and accommodating!
Although the beds were clean & comfortable the place was very shabby with a dirty carpet and paintwork in the room. The breakfast was just about adequate. The staff were great...especially the night porter. So all in all a good experience but wouldn`t stay there again.
The room was good, the staff very welcoming, unfortunately my room looked out at a brick wall that was in the process of being demolished, so very dusty.. I know this work has to be done, I just wish I had been warned..
The room, in particular the bathroom, smelled of sewage and there was definitely a problem with the water which made a simple cup of tea impossible. Final straw was the lack of hot water, though I could go on about stains on the carpet, lack of plug in washbasin and general pokiness. To their credit the staff did try to solve the problems and eventually found us an alternative. Still basic but fine for the money. Breakfast was fine and staff friendly and helpful
We were happy without room everything we needed was there
Basic hotel but very clean and staff were very helpful and welcoming. Excellent location for the theatre would chose to stay at the Hanover hotel again for a short stay.
The hotel was in an area fairly close to everything, just a bit of walk to underground. The bed was very comfortable and not too much noise disturbing us during the night even though we had window open which surprised us. Room was fine for a one night stay, basic but suitable. Very big shower. Very friendly helpful reception staff. Thank you.
The room had a fousty smell and not wheelchair Friendly
Not far from the tube, nice breakfast. Very friendly staff. Some problems in the rooms, could be a lot cleaner.
The hotel was clean, there were a couple of bulbs not working. Breakfast was OK but some items had been replaced by the time we got there.
Hotel was clean and conveniently situated to visit London, with great view of the London eye. However, Hotel needs updating with a new coat of paint and new carpets, the carpets were disgusting. Breakfast was below average with poor quality food and drink.
Disgraceful dirty and not even a 1 star.
Adequate for our needs did not pay 5 star price we got what we paid for could have been cleaner but clean bedding, hairdryer,TV,tea and coffee making facilities so yes overall OK.
The hotel is basic but clean enough. The rooms are compact and we wouldn`t have wanted to have stayed more than one night but the beds are comfy. This is a no frills b & b rather than a hotel and we wouldn`t rush back there but the price was lower than other places we looked at, so we feel we got what we paid for - so it`s all good.
Basic but clean and friendly
Staff were friendly and breakfast was simple yet enjoyable, room could have done with a good overall clean prior to arival as areas were not 100% however this did not hamper our stay.
We had a good stay but there were certainly some problems. For example, it`s a non smoking hotel but there was a lady smoking out of her window which meant the smoke travelled through to the corridors and in our room which wasn`t nice at all. I decided to speak to the manager about this problem, but they said all they could do is to tell her to stop doing it - despite there being a sign on the door stating no smoking - if you smoke you will receive a fine. Why have a sign up if you don`t follow it through? Also, the cleanliness of the room was awful. They don`t hoover the rooms at all! When we arrived there was other people`s hair all over the floor! Which didn`t get hoovered up nor did the crumbs we left on the floor to see if they would be cleaned up. Disgusting
First room had carpet gripper exposed at the entrance to the bathroom could of been nasty and it was in the basement next to breakfast room
Rooms are small but to be expected, only used the room to sleep and shower. We were out 15/16 hours of the day otherwise.
Clean and comfortable. Friendly staff
Bad untidy room hostel standard at best
Stinky bathroom with Wobbly tap and in need of TLC
Six of us stayed we had three rooms of which all of them were spotlessly clean, really comfortable beds, powerful shower, rooms were quite staff very helpful hotel in good position for tube would stay again
Room was small as was the shower room. Decor was drab but all clean. We were woken at 6.20 by what I can only assume was a cleaner pushing a carpet sweeper back and forth on the floor above our room. Sandip, the receptionist was most helpful
We were first given floor 4 which was up 6 flights of stairs, we soon changed to floor 2 which was still 4 flights of stairs WHY NO LIFTS? No air conditioning?WE WERE GIVEN A FAN? FOOD Continental breakfast poor WE WENT ONCE AND DID NOT GO AGAIN Shower SUB-STANDARD. We would not go here again.
We were put in a basement room. Hardly any natural light. Stains on the carpet, and a strong smell of air freshener that was overpowering. Definitely wouldn`t stay here again.
Good hotel, lovely staff such as Sandeep on reception, very helpful.Nice breakfast, although continental and no supervising staff but sufficient. Self service, reasonable choice.Easy 6 minutes walk from the Victoria coach station, probably 12 minutes form Victoria tube station. No lift means you must be fit. However, the rooms in front of hotel have traffic noise even at night.Ask for quiet room if light sleeper !Small friendly hotel, good value for money.
Very basic hotel. Ideal if you just need it for some where to sleep. Central location.
Pleasant hotel, unfortunately we had a basement room under the stairs and opposite the breakfast room that resulted in a lot of noise from early hours that affected our overall stay
This was a great price for what we got. Train station was only a two minute walk from theatre and the hotel was only a five-minute walk, our request for a ground floor room as they have no lift was perfectly adequate for a night in London and breakfast was also included.
Could do with a little updating.
It was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Filthy dirty, awful breakfast, out of date milk, shower was filthy, stains all over the carpet, couldn`t make staff understand us. Never again.
I would come back again, however there is no lifts and I was the top floor which was a long way up whilst carrying your suitcase. We did this as a theatre break and although we were told it was close by (walking distance) it was nowhere near. The rooms are not big but perfect for a night over and they were clean and tidy.
Super Location, friendly, clean & Rooms were great. Nothing to complain about at all. Brilliant stay.
Hotel staff very nice and friendly and helpful. But as our room was in the basement we were not to happy with that but room very clean and comfortable
Our room was clean and the beds comfortable. The bathroom was plenty big enough and the shower was good, plenty of hot water. We were 2 people booked for a double but given a triple room at the front on the 3rd floor. Room was light and airy, enough storage and comfy beds. Our windows both opened and so the temperature was fine, fan in the room was not needed but I wouldn`t want to stay in the heat of summer without air con. Breakfast was fine, we were down early so plenty of space and appreciated being able to leave our luggage rather than having to carry it round after we checked out.
