Pleasant hotel, ideal for tourists visiting Oxford. Frequent buses are just a few minutes walk away and the journey to the colleges is quite short.

We were a bit underwhelmed-There is building work going on and the hotel looks a bit grubby from the outside. We checked in and were put in the Annexe-the room was better than expected after first impressions, but after looking at the different type of rooms they offer, I believe we were put in a standard room when we paid for a superior. There were no bathrobes, some of the lights didn`t work properly, no temperature control in the room (was really warm).The bottom of the door had 2cm cut off, which let light in during the night-not a huge problem, but just a pain. Positives were the breakfast and the majority of the staff were helpful-that said, there was a gentleman on reception who struggled to understand us and whether they had ordered a taxi for us-he was quite happy to leave us waiting outside in the rain for a taxi that he thought was `probably` ordered (we politely asked that he call to double check). Overall, it was an ok hotel but would try other places first.
