Hotel was perfectly central, therefore saving us money on transportation. Complimentary hot and cold drinks with fruit and nibbles available all day down at reception. Staff were very friendly. Bedrooms and beds were spotlessly clean. Yes this was the most expensive hotel of all the ones which i looked at, but hey! Its Paris, and we were not going to stay in some dingey dirty hotel for four nights just to save a couple of hundred euro. Top marks for this hotel.
The hotel was positioned only a few minutes most of Paris`main attractions and surrounded by plenty of beautiful bars and restaurants. The room was beautifully clean and had ample storage space, and the bathroom was lovely. I felt very at home staying here and would definitely stay again next time.
Ideally situatuated for the centre of Paris and sightseeing and the Tour de France !
We had a fabulous stay at the Malte Opera Hotel. The staff was very friendly and our room was spacious, clean and it exceeded our expectations overall. They were accommodating and helpful, we would definitely recommend this hotel to others visiting Paris. The location is also ideal!
On arriving there we were told there had been a technical problem with our booking and the 2 double rooms were not available, so they asked us if we minded (at no extra cost) being in a 2 bedroomed apartment with 2 floors and 2 bathrooms and a living room.... it was unbelievable absolutely fantastic. The location is superb about a 5 minute walk to The Louvre and park. There was no parking facilities but close by was a multi storey which was easy enough. We would all recommend this hotel for a luxurious stay in Paris. x
Hotel was clean and beds comfortable but room very small. The road is very busy and noisy at night but it is a very central location so this is to be expected. We were very pleased with the location of the hotel easy walk to Le Louvre and river.
Arriving at the hotel from CDP airport was very easy and the directions given by the hotel were clear to follow. Staff were efficient on arrival and we got there before check in time which wasn`t a problem. The room was very comfortable and clean. The location was excellent, mintues from the metro which takes you wherever you need from eiffel tower to notre dame. To summarise brilliant hotel and I will be staying again next time i`m in paris!
The hotel was spotlessly clean and v well presented. Hotel staff were polite and professionL. Would definitely stay there again.
Reasonably situated but way overpricede.
The hotel location was very central and ideal for visiting all the tourist areas we wanted to see, the 3 star rating was maybe about right for the room size and features but service and helpfulness made it a very enjoyable experience for us. Overall for the price we paid, the Malte Opera was very much worth the money.
With a discount of about 50% on the normal rate, we found this to be a really good deal. I`m not sure it would`ve been entirely worth the full cost of 210Euro a night. Having said that, the reception area was comfrtable and attractive, the staff were helpful and courteous, and our room, while small, was clean, modern, and the bathroom was pretty nice. My friend & I found the beds a bit too soft to be really comfortable, but the place was quiet and we slept OK. The location is easy walking distance to The Opera, and to the Louvre, and there are some great little sushi places all around the hotel, if you like Japanese food, but also you can wander further east and get some really interesting French fare. I`d go again if I wanted to stay in this area of Paris.
clean room, helpful people at the reception
its location to restaurants and famous places is very good, but its overpriced.
We usually check our hotel beds to ensure we sleep on a clean bedding. But we came late from a function and when my wife checked, she found hair in the bed sheets. I called the duty manager to ask if the sheets could be changed, but he was apparently alone and could not help. I had to suggest to him to send me some clean sheets and even then he could not send them, but I had to go and collect. The blanket was smelling of cigarettes, so I ended up lying on a sheet and got no sleep. For the price we paid at 148 pounds, the hotel should have been cleaner and more responsive. The room was small, but for one night it would have sufficed if the cleanliness was maintained. Hotel decour was pleasant and location good.I am writing to the management to complain and see what they have to say.
staff friendly and helpful but too few ,reception often unattended ,after a days sight seeing would have been nice to sit down to a coffee but was hard to find any one to accomadate.excellent position for sightseeing.
Good location, close to a metro station and the louvre. Great if you like chinese or japanese food, as there are plenty of these restaurants around! Rooms small but clean. Staff were friendly with fairly good English. Would stay there again if I was going to Paris.
Upon our arrival to the hotel we were told there were problems with over-booking and they sent us to a different hotel. The hotel was one star "better" but the location was not good for us due to travelling with two people over 60 and over 70 years old. I would appreciate if we were actually told beforehand - we have had a tour booked and because of the time, it was not convinient to wait for a cab, travel to the other place... Dissapointed with the hotel staff behaviour.
The rooms are good with very clean and stylish bathrooms. The breakfast was extremely good with a generous array of good quality food. It is very well situated on a quiet street and is very handy for the Louvre, the Opera venues and the Seine and I would definitely use it again.
When we arrived at the hotel we aere informed that because we had only booked for two nights we had been moved to another hotel in a different area. We had chosen the Malte Opera very carefully as it was well situated for our planned activities, so we were extremely unhappy. The reception staff ere not interested in our protests.
Clean hotel, friendly staff, pleasent stay, would recommend to others.
The hotel Malte is in a good central position. The interior is attractively designed, very clean and well maintained. Regrettably, the staff could have been more friendly.
Great location, smart, clean hotel with a pleasant room & very nice breakfast. Just wish the guys on reception had been a bit more friendly; whilst they helped, as they never smiled or chatted, made you feel like they didn`t really want to.
We had a nice stay in Malte Opera, the staff were helpful. The only comment I have is the lack of choices for breakfast.
Very friendly and helpful staff, good location for Metro. room was a decent size but if above fourth floor are smaller.would suggest use BOURSE Metro rather than Pyramydes for Gare -du-Norde, nearer to hotel and less hassle when pulling luggage
Quiet, clean and friendly. Good breakfast spread though no variation in 4 days. Would stay there again in the future and would recommend to friends.
Conveniently situated, clean and tidy.Would use again.Only problem is that it says in the room that a complimentary tray is available at reception for tea and coffee but no one told reception.Eventually got flask of hot water and coffee/tea bags and they tried to charge but accepted that it was free when I pointed out that the info sheet in the room said it was.
Breakfast should open later especially on the weekend and there was a small problem with which room we were suppose to be in but nothing insurmountable; dont actually know who`s fault it was though; ours or theirs. Apart from that, lovely rooms, clean, good bathrooms.
We found the hotel to be an excellent choice, very central with all the sites easily walkable, and we are in our 60`s. We found the rooms to be a little on the small side, but contained all that was necessary, although when I asked for a complimentary tea tray, I was told that there were non available at that time, and one was not forthcoming during our 4 night stay. Our room overlooked the central courtyard, and consequently provided us with very quite nights. I would recommend this hotel.
Excellent breakfast. Very central position: easy walk to Monmatre for meals and Louvre for museums and art galleries. Non-smoking bedroom smelt a bit of stale cigarettes which let the otherwise clean welcoming room down. Would have liked to have been able to get the tea tray a day earlier!
Hotel in excellent position for getting around, very close to metro and bus stop outside. Staff couldn`t be more helpful, although we did have a few language problems! Breakfast was excellent served in a very nice area, not a squashed room as we have sometimes experienced. Rooms small but normal for city breaks, were very glad not to be on busy road as I expect those rooms would have been very noisy. Whole break excellent.
