The Hotel is in a Perfect Location for getting around Paris and the hotel is clean and well run and recently refurbished to a good standard. I would recommend the hotel for a good hotel for a small stay in Paris

The location is excellent; close to lots of restaurants/bars and shops in Montmartre, metro short hop away. Rooms were very nice. Front of house staff very helpful, as were dining and and bar staff. Chambermaids, however, were appalling; rooms did not get made up again until after 6pm: quite what they were doing all day remains a mystery! Would recommend, despite half-witted chambermaids.

Booked via the internet without any previous experience of the hotel or website. A smart hotel, with helpful reception staff on check in. The room was small, but that is expected in Paris, well decorated and had a great view. A nice position just out of the way but close enough to be able to walk the main attractions. The inclusion of the buffett breakfast was a nice bonus. If you are unsure where to eat just ask at the desk ,we were booked into a great little restaurant just around the corner and got free drinks on arrival at another just for having the hotel make the reservation for you.

My daughter and I spent 4 nights in this hotel and greatly enjoyed our stay there. The hotel is ideally located for exploring Paris but its main attraction for us was the level of service it offered and the friendliness and professionalism of all the staff we encountered. We would certainly book this hotel on a future visit to Paris.

Outstanding hotel. Very clean room, good internet (although should have wifi), courteous staff. My only problem was that the roof terrace can play quite loud music, although I phoned the reception and they turned the music down to a reasonable level.

We stayed at this hotel last year, so impressed that we decided to return this year for a longer stay. Our room was a standard one, but we noted that this year the downgraded bathroom accessories such as shampoo and conditioner,also our soap was taken and not replaced!! The terrace bar wasn`t open probably due to the weather unfortunately, although the lounge bar was open it was quite difficult to find the bar person to serve us! The hotel is in a wonderful area of Paris, the buffet breakfast was plentiful, but we just felt that it was a little neglected this stay.

We`ve stayed in the Terrass for 5 consecutive years now. Its in a great location just a few minutes walk from the bars and cafe`s of Montmarte. just a short walk to a few different Metro stops which give access across the city. We use it as a base for trips to St Cloud and Longchamp for the horse racing, both easily connected on Metro/overground train. The hotel seems to have been renovated a bit over the past year so the rooms we had were much more modern in feel. Finally they have done something with the roof top terrace and its now a great open air bar with the best views of Paris. We were lucky to have clear skies and warm nights at start of October and the view is quite special....probably better for romantic couples than 6 chaps on a racing weekend, but hey it was still worth seeing! Also a great little wine bar opened up just opposite. We`ll be back next year!

If you want to get away from the chain hotels, the Terrass is ideal. Rooms are comfortable and well equipped. We had to change hotels and Emma at HotelDirect was brilliant in arranging an alternative which turned out to be the Terrass.

Great hotel in a good position with a lovely terrace bar (though it does tend to be swamped by local glitterati so make sure you exercise your residential status when cross questioned!). A few little continental quirks like the shower curtain disappearing at some point during the day never to be seen again, and the requested cot had to be hunted down from another partner hotel - but hunted down it was and installed by the time we came back from dinner. Despite this, the hotel was good, with our room spacious and very well appointed.

Excellent breakfasts so do book B&B. very close to the Moulin Rouge and use the Metro from the Airport. GReat hotel & will definately go back again. RIchard B @ Cardiff.

A lovely hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The rooftop terrace has a wonderful view but is extraordinarily expensive. (17 euros for a sandwhich!!) However there are lots of lovely places to eat in Monmartre, and the rooms are comfortable and clean.

Having visited Paris many times in the past we have always stayed in Montmatre & this is without doubt the best hotel we have found. Our room had a view of the Eiffel Tower and we were pleased with the room size, facilities & decor. Easy walking distance to the Sacre Coeur, Moulin Rouge, Pigalle, Place de Tertre and very close to a number of metro stopsOnly room for improvement would be a proper shower with shower curtain instead of just a bath with a showerhead and not sure why the Cosy bar wasn`t open throughout our stayWould definitely stay here again.

of the 3 rooms we booked 1 was not ready so a different floor and different room style for one of our company was given.

Best Paris hotel we have stayed in by a long way , friendly helpfull staff , great location , good breakfast , would definately book this again .

First class hotel well situated for all areas. Staff were excellent and always available to help with any problem.Only minor issue was we had to request on a couple of occasions for coffee/milk to be replaced in our room but in any case we would return to this Hotel and recommend to Family and Friends.

We stayed four nights in a sixth floor room at the back of the hotel -- very quiet except for some noise occasionally from nearby rooms. Facilities in the room were good -- only minor complaint was an oddly designed shower installation that prevented the shower from being fully turned on. The location is excellent for sightseeing in Paris -- 10 minutes walk max from the nearest Metro station (just next to the Moulin Rouge), which is seven stops from the Arc de Triomphe. Sacre Coeur is a 15-20 minute stroll away from the hotel. We got a `4 nights for the price of 3 deal`, which made it good value for money -- otherwise it might have seemed a little pricey.

My wife and I would definitely stay at this hotel on any return to Paris. Good location and close to Blanches and Place du Clichy metro stations. Very well presented rooms / staff very friendly and helpful / breakfasts good variety for a "continental" and set us up for the day.Not really far out of Centre as metro links can quickly get you across town - just plan your routes first (and watch out for cheeky gipsy pick-pockets on the Metro). Hotel is very close to number of excellent bars and restaurants within a couple of 100 metres. Easy walk to Sacre Coeur and Place de Tetre - take steep roads near hotel to avoid very steep steps up further along. Felt quite safe in the area. Taxi from hotel to Gare du Nord - only 12 euros (well worth this over the metro).

Ideally situated near restaurants, bars, shops and Metro lines. Our party booked 4 rooms and each one was a differently style but everyone of them very nice indeed. Staff were helpful and frienldy and we all agreed that we could book the same hotel again on the next trip.

Well situated for Montmartre and Metro links to the centre of the city.

Quiet room which enabled us to sleep well. The romm was well equipped and comfortable only one criticism - no drawers anywhere in the room.

Our greeting on the Saturday Morning from the staff was a bit cold, but we put this down to not being able to speak French (except for greetings and simple pleasantries) and therefore incurring some "attitude". With the change of staff in the afternoon, this did not improve, however we were pleasantly surprised by the bar tender on the same night and the reception staff on the Sunday Morning. It was like chalk and cheese. Thank you to the receptionist, concierge and barman for changing our opinion of the hotel to a very positive experience. We will therefore consider using the hotel on our next visit.

This hotel is situated in an excellent position for all sightseeing, local restaurants and bistros. Breakfast was lovely could not fault it. Staff were so friendly, hotel lovely. Would definitely go back. Dont miss the artist square we nearly did, 10 mins walk, ask the hotel staff they will direct you.

Bathrobes and power showers would be much appreciated

Everything about the hotel was excellent - apart from the heating system. We had three rooms and all were way too hot. Apart from this, an really enjoyable hotel.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Terrass hotel for a couple of nights over the new year break. After reading a couple of reviews I was concerned that the hotel might be a bit far from the attractions, but we didn`t find this a probelm at all. Each day we walked down to the Champs Elysees area, which although was a bit longer than a short walk, it was perfectly enjoyable going down other parisien streets. Our room was good... both bedroom and bathroom a decent size for such a city. It was well decorated with ample storage space for what we needed. Hotel staff were also all friendly and helpful. A very enjoyable stay in a hotel I`d happily return to.

Good sized 4 person family suite - very clean and well maintained. Children loved the hotel - delighted with their own bath robes, childrens soaps and shampoos. Concierge very helpful - good restaurant recommendations and able to book tours at front desk. Breakfast (buffet) more than adequate. Close to Monmartre but away from hustle and bustle of tourists. Only 5 min walk from Blanche/Place de Clichy Metro stations. Very happy with our stay and would gladly stay again at the hotel.

Stunning Hotel set in a fantastic location. Great resturants and bars close by and away from the hustle and bustle of Central Paris. Area is a haven for locals and is reflected in the service. Number of Metro stops near by making it very easy to get around. Ideal if you are planning to go and see the Moulin Rougue as it is only one street away. Would reccomend to all!

I was thoroughly impressed with the Terrass hotel with its helpful and friendly staff who all speak excellent English. My room, whilst clean and fresh, was a bit on the small and stuffy side, but as I spent very little time in the room, it didn`t matter too much. I would certainly stay at the Terrass again and would recommend this as a base to explore the city, and enjoy the cafe culture of Montemartre.

We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at the Terrass Hotel. it is well located for the Montmatre area with its` narrow winding streets and numerous cafes and restraunts and also for the wider attractions of Paris. It is a short taxi ride in from the Gare De Nord. The htoel staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The cosy bar was a welcome retreat for a night cap. We can thoroughly recommend this hotel.
