Excellent location, near the Spire, the post office, bus stop, river. Beautiful room (number 29). Great value for money.
very helpfull and curious reception staff. rooms clean and comfortable. very good access to all areas of the city. beakfast manue for vegitarians is not good. not enough variety to choose from when compared to other hotels we have used in the past. manager on duty was not attentive to guests` request for his attention. staff at reception were very helpful and gave very good advise.
right in dublin city centre great spot if you want a good value room at a great location. staff were polite and helpful.
Great Irish breakfast but only one girl serving for which, she deserves a medal having to cope with such a demand .
my husband is asthmatic and found the four flights of stairs very difficult so no lift was very disappointing the room was lovely and clean and all the usual supplied. the biggest drawback was the noise of some of the other residents the walls were very thin however the price and convenience of being right on O Connell street means we would go back if the lift is working!
Pros- Right in the centre with bus links, tours, pubs, shops and everything you might need on the doorstep. I got a very reasonable rate of £75 for a double for 2 nights so it was very good value for money. Also the room was very clean, well furnished and large.Cons- Loud outside, but being in the centre that was to be expected. The walls within the hotel were quite thin. I didn`t feel my things were very safe in the room as they operate a leave the key at reception when you leave the hotel system. I know many hotels do this, but as the staff on reception seemed to change so often through the day I didn`t feel anyone could recognise me and so I felt anyone could have picked up my key when I was out.All in all though I was extremely pleased witht he hotel and it`s friendly staff.
Location was very convenient and the bed was clean.Otherwise it was poor quality and needs some work. The wallpaper was dirty and damaged, the bathroom was uncleaned and there were masonry holes in the walls left unrepaired. We only had hand towels - unbeknownst to us - resulting in a "planes, trains and automobiles" moment and the staff were reluctant to solve this despite several requests for full sized towels. After much effort and discussion we got two larger, but still not full-sized towels with stains on them. The maid service was also incredibly lazy. We stayed for three nights and saw no sign of a maid service until the last evening when, while at dinner, the bed was made - over all the things that we had left on the bed, there was no other evidence of a maid service. Also the food in the restaurant below the hotel was not cheap and was not great.
On Sunday at 4pm we returned to find the front door, we rang the bell and got no answer. We had to enter via the cafe. Monday mornings breakfast was not cooked enough. A replaement was brought, but breakfast had already been rewined. Over all the room was clean and tidy.
Cosy, friendly hotel bang in the centre of Dublin with all requirements nearby including cinema, supermarket, information office and airport bus.
This hotel is in a great place on a main attraction road in Dublin. The bus to and from the airport stops right outside and if you go on any tours the bus picks you up right outside the doors as well. The room was neat and tidy and it was great for our two night stay. The only downfalls were there was only 3 television stations and the view was of a big air conditioner but that did not bother us at all.
Hi,Whilst the hotel is in an excellent location we thought the cleanliness and facilities were below standards. The lift was out of service for the first 2-days. Although reasonably clean the bathroom smelt of urine, it should have at least been discinfected. The light above the sink did not work and the shaving light only worked for a while when the diffuser was pushed. The hot tap at the sink only had a trickle. We did report these faults every day but but nothing was done. When you consider we would normally stay at Cassidy`s where costs are very simular there is a massive difference in standards.best regardsMick Scullion
This is a central city small hotel that offers a reasonable restaurant and bar. The pay two nights and get a third free deal was very competitive. Rooms were clean and the one I had of reasonable size. Staff were very helpful. I would definitely wish to stay there again.
I have no complaints for what we paid it was very good. A light bulb didnt work in the bathroom,I told receptionist and it was replaced in about an hour no problems. All the staff were very friendly, the bed was very comfortable and clean. The food was excellent and reasonable. Ok the hotel could do with a make over and the stairs creaked but it was all part of the experience. I loved it right in the middle of the shops no problems getting there and back to airport , bus stop right outside. Will definately stay there again.
Few problems with the room-sheets were dirty, pillows were dirty, no bath mat,the curtains didn`t close!!and the window let in a draft!!!!!
12 of us girls stayed in this hotel over the Halloween weekend 2010 - we found the staff pleasant, the hotel was situated right in the middle of town. Easy walk to supermarkets, bars, clubs, shops, cafes.. The room sizes were ample, cant complain. We are planning to come back again and we will stay here!!!
Location is very good. Excellent position for airport shuttle bus.
Do not stay here
CLOSE TO EVERYTHING - HELPFUL, HAPPY , VERY CLEAN AND SO AFFORABLE. A GREAT DE STRESS-ER. THANK YOU
right in the middle for getting around room was a bit dated electric dodgy well the bedside lights were but just too get your head down it ok.
We got the room half price but if I had paid the full 75e I would have been disappointed. The room was on the 3rd floor at the front so it was very hot (there were 2 electric fans provided and it was October!) The room was very clean but in disrepair and the sink was precariously plasterered to the wall. There was a kettle with tea and coffee provided, a TV and hairdryer. The cafe food was lovely and good value. The airport buses stop right outside, and its right in the city centre. I would stay there again if it was half price again but I would expect a bit of luxury at full price
Great city centre location, with direct access for the bus service to and from the airport. Comfortable clean rooms and a great breakfast choice. I have and would recommend this hotel for a short city centre break.
took some finding, as its only small, best bet is to get to the spier on o`connell street, and look for mcdonalds on your left. due to its location you get city centre noise, but what do you expect for the price? staff friendly, room a bit shabby, water from bath looked like it was from the river with scum. parking is a nightmare, hotel told us the maximum would be 12EURO, Wrong... 20. good to stay at on foot, need alcohol to get to sleep.
Very obviously a failed upgrade of a former hostel. OK as a hostel but very poor value for money as a hotel is the best recomendation I can give it.
reception staff first class...
Although adequate, the hotel could and needs to be greatly improved. We were in Room3, definitely NOT a room with a view! The window pane was cracked, the net curtains grey and did nothing to hide what was outside. Our view was of several air conditioning units, from McDonalds next door, these were obviously both smelly & noisy when the window was opened for fresh air, piles of cigarette ends and a McDonalds bag which had obviously been thrown onto the roof!! The room was clean but in need of redecorating, all linen was fresh and clean, the bathroom too needed redecorating, mould around the broken shower screen, loose toilet seat & looroll holder. The public areas were ok, a new stair carpet was laid whilst we were there, the staff polite and the breakfast ok. The public loo, downstairs in the restaurant was dirty and quite frankly not pleasant to use! Would we go here again? Dublin yes, Lynams , probably not.
Hotel is clean and has all the basic aminities. The room had a decent on suite, Tea, coffee etc were provided in the room and over the 2 night stay the room was cleaned. We had a room at the back on request so there was very little noise. Staff were helpful and polite. we had room only which is the best option as there are plenty of cafes to choose from. Highly recommend and would use again
Not fancy, but fine for a weekend away with your mates. Extremely handy location for shopping and temple bar. Would return.
had a wonderful stay in lynams needs a bit updating but overall very clean staff were very courteous and helpful thanks lynham for a very nice weekend
I have given them a excellent rating dispite a problem which house keeping should have spotted which resulted in a room move. The staff were brill especailly the man that dealt with our problem on arrival. Will be booking again with them. WEll done all round.
THE HOTEL WAS SITUATED RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF EVERYTHING, ONLY 1 BUS FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE HOTEL. ROOMS WERE AVERAGE.I WOULD DEFINETLY STAY HERE AGAIN.
If I ever needed to stay in Dublin in the future, Lynams would be my first stop for a hotel!
The location was excellent and gave easy access to most of the city`s "tourist" areas.Breakfast was good, service was excellent.Reception was a bit cramped when lots of guests waiting but service was good.Room was in need of some TLC - sash window wouln`t saty open, toilet roll holder broke - nothing that a bit of paint and general maintenance wouldn`t solve.Reasonable value for money
