Small but beautiful room. Shower was amazing! Staff really helpful and friendly and no problem at all leaving suitcases during the day for evening flight.
Friendly and helpful staff.. Great room, we booked a superior double. Do remember when in Rome 4 star is probably not what you are used too and 4 star will be more like 3 star. Would definately recommend and go back. Mr & Mrs Louth - London
Hotel is generally speaking gets a high average from me. basic breakfast. you seem to always get offered to move to residents block that is two building alongside the hotel. Although recently renovated my room was Noisey and you get to hear the door to the "Flat " opening and closing as well as next room having a loud chat about the days events! But if you dont mind that then all other stuff are good and very good area. I would probably go back but it needs to be value for money before i choose it. Very happy with staff and thier service.
A nice hotel in 10-15 mins walking distance of many of the sites we wanted to go to.The staff we friendly and helpful. It is nice to have breakfast on the terrace on the roof - great views over Rome. Rooms were fine. Not huge, but OK sizewise
the hotel itself was a conveinient location facilities good for what we required on a short city break.Room 327 has a problem with no hot water, we felt we were fobbed off by the duty managers saying the problem would be fixed every time we complained. The porter checked the temperature each time and the maintenance man was called on one occasion. But nothing improved. On day 3 we insisted something was done. they moved us to 306 where there was no problem with hot water. The hotel must know there is an issue and we felt they didn`t believe us. Someone was put into room 327 straight after us!
We enjoyed our stay here very much, cheerful, efficient, and nothing to complain about at all
I had been recommended by a friend to come to Hotel Veneto because of her beautiful bedroom and fantastic view over the rooftops at breakfast. Sorry to say both failed. Also, not a great welcome by the reception staff. Smiles and politeness cost nothing.
staff very frindly/helpful, breakfast good, 7th floor lounge for drinks excellent.
Interestingly, linked internally to sister hotel, where there is a 7th floor, charming bar. All staff were very helpful and friendly. Room perfectly adequate without being memorable. Very clean throughout with impressive reception area. Within 10 minutes walk of main shopping centre of Rome.
Nice hotel very central within easy walking distance of most tourist attractions.
We have been visiting Rome for 38years since our honeymoon. This is one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in. The staff are warm and welcoming and the shared bar has a good atmosphere in the evening after exploring the sights. Our room was spacious and bright, the bed comfortable and both bedroom and bathroom were spotless. Will definitely use this hotel again
Fairly good hotel and reasonably close to metro which is useful when sightseeing (about 10 mins walk). Good continental breakfast available daily. Fairly comfortable although Italian star ratings not similar to those in Australia.
Very pleased with the hotel, staff helpful and keen to make our brief stay as good as possible. Hot water in the room took a little time to come through in the morning, but fine once running, just took a bit of patience. I enjoyed the breakfast and found the location ideal for a tourist visitor - easy walking to all the central sites, near the gardens, only a short taxi ride from the main station, and in a quiet area with limited street noise. Would definitely book to stay again. Mike C
The only comment I would like to make is that for british guests we have come to expect a kettle, tea and coffee in the room. Otherwise we had a wonderful five days Thank you.
The hotel staff were helpful and courteous. Room was lovely although double glazed traffic noise still noticeable but hotel was not on a very busy road. The shutter was missing a lock and so did not close totally. The other minor thing was that the jacuzzi was not working - my five year old would have loved to try it. Easy to get to the sights and felt very safe to wander around at night to find restaurants.
A good location (walking - 10 mins to bus terminal, about 15 to spanish steps and 20 mins to trevi fountain), rooms recently renovated. Reception staff were very helpfull, breakfast staff rather glum. There is still work going on, so bare walls in places, but as we were hardly in the hotel it didn`t matter much. Other sites are further afield, but with the Metro for ?1 a journey you can get to most without having to walk too far, and the hop on hop off buses go from the bus termini and cover most places. All in all, a nice hotel, OK location and good price - if you are not planning on spending much time in the hotel when its fine!
Good breakfast and friendly and helpful staff.
The standard of the new hotel was very good but our party was very disappointed at the position of the hotel in relation to the city centre. We had tried numerous more central hotels before taken up your offer of the original hotel but to be moved further out of city on arrival with such a short stay did not warrant wasting precious holiday time.
Dissapointed to find the hotel was only half finished, though the rooms were very clean. Got woken up at 8am the morning after our arrival by workmen fitting out the two bedrooms opposite - wasn`t very happy. we were also on the first floor at the front of the hotel and it is very noisy first thing in the morning with the traffic. Has potential to be a nice hotel when it is fully refurbished, dissapointed not to have been pre warned about the refurbishment when we booked. Good location though and within walking distnace (can take upto an hour) of all the attractions. Would give breakfast a miss though!
Generally a clean and well presented hotel.Rooms were of a good standard and staff were very polite and helpful. However, we were very disappointed about the building work that was ongoing during our 7 day stay.We were unaware of this at the time of booking and only found out when we were awoken at 7am in the morning on the first day by the sounds of drills and sledge hammers!Although we were out our rooms by the time the drilling began,we would have appreciated it if the hotel manager acknowledged the noise we were subjected to at least once during our 7 day stay! The hotel is situated in a business district, safe to walk around at night, nice restaurants to dine in but quite dear!A good 15 minute walk to the central area. Avoid the hotel bar-almost £8 for a cup of hot chocolate and four mini cookies!
Clean and comfortable. Fairly central.
We stayed for three nights but the first night we had to be moved as there were electrical problems with the room. We were upgraded to a four star hotel for the night and a taxi provided there and back .
The room was very clean and had all that was needed in it, though the bath was very small . The room was very noisy but OK if we we kept the windows shut all night. Location a fair walk from the metro but a bus stop RIGHT OUTSIDE the front door which was perfect. Breakfast adequate but fruit juices horrible.
Too must dust due to construction in the hotel! Had I known that there was construction within the hotel during my planned stay, I would of never stayed there. Construction workers everywhere!!! It was like playing bumper cars with the workers. However, the staff seemed to be very helpful and professional and always seemed to be agravated with the workers. Room accomidation was basic.
Although still in a refurbishment programme we really enjoyed our stay. All staff were friendly and helpful, the room was spotless, breakfast very good. The hotel is situated in a very nice quiet area with very good bars and restaurants within walking distances. The metro was about 10 minutes walk, that doesn`t worry us at all as we spent most of the days walking! You are far enough away from the Termini hence no hassling from vendors and no graffiti! All in all, excellent.
Good value for short stay, very clean and comfortable, nice breakfast room with a view, only downside was that the room was a bit small.
Hotel Veneto is very central, the staff is friendly and the room was fine. The only comment is that the hotel was renovating our floor which we didn`t know.
Unfortunately our visit coincided with manjor renovations and at one point we were told to eat breakfast on the 7th floor no one could find it. We learned that it was actually in the Hotel next door! Having said that the service was good, it was nice and clean and most of the staff very helpful. Good location advise people to get Bus Route map as we found on the last day the bus that stopped outside.
There were six in our party in three twin rooms. We arrived at 1.00am and the staff were most helpful in allocating our rooms quickly. Two of the rooms were spqacious and overlooked the main street. The third was somewhat smaller and looked into the internal well. Given that the rooms were all the same price I feel this was slightly rather unfair. Breakfast was fine. One of my party was a little perturbed to find that the wardrobe had been opened during our absence and some plastic cups we`d put in there for a evening drink had been removed.
Spotlessly clean, very well situated, staff very obliging.Continental breakfast was not very appetising. Hotel said it had a roof terrace but when we were there it seemed not to be available - found this rather strange.
The hotel is in a very good position to visit all the sights on foot or by the tour bus. The rooms were great value for money very clean and well kept .The beds are comfortable and the white bed sets are imaculate. We had lots of clean towels each day . We have paid much more money elsewhere in the world for a lot less facilities. The area was well lit and we felt very safe . The breakfast waiter and the bar staff were very helpful and service was excellent. (the breakfast waiter worked like mad perhaps there should be two of them) There are plenty of good allthough not cheap places to eat close by
