large spacious hotel, with large room. The hotel was nice and cool and with the £35 upgrade it made our stay even better. Hope to use the hotel again.

A little disappointed with breakfast routine - cooked breakfast was excellent but there was no fruit juice apart from orange or cereal bowls to start with and nobody about to ask. Apart from this our rooms were excellent and the bar staff very accomadating. We would certainly use this Hotel again providing the price was right!

nice hotel everything good except slow service at reception

Excellent hotel and staff made us feel so welcome.Warning - do not drink in the hotel bar as so expensive. Don`t know if the prices are general for central London but had a small cider and martini and lemonade and the price was over £17. Bear in mind that we had just paid £6.80 for the same drinks just along the road.

I`ve just returned from a 2 night stay at this hotel and will definitely return next time I visit London. Everyone from check-in desk to cleaning staff was friendly and welcoming, the room was excellent and the building itself was magnificent. The central location meant that most tourist attractions were within comfortable walking distance as well as loads of the theatres- saved a fortune on tube fares compared to previous visits!! I was aware of some street/ traffic noise at night but that`s to be expected in such a busy area and it was not a problem for me or my mum.

Unfortunately both lifts were out of service at the same time, and second morning breakfast service was very slow. That all said, we would use this hotel again and would recommend due to central location.

first class hotel we upgraded for £45 to executive room which included complimentary bottle of wine which was really good value as the room was a touch of luxury and made our stay really enjoyable with great location and very friendly staff

Lovely rooms , fantastic breakfast and the staff were great . Would stay there again anytime .

THE HOTEL IS WELL LOCATED FOR MOST TOURIST PLACES , & THEATRES, THE HOTEL ROOMS ARE CLEAN WITH PLENTY OF TOWELS ETC,WHICH ARE CHANGED DAILY.GOOD BREAKFAST WITH PLENTY OF CHOICE. WILL KEEP RETURNING TO THE CHARING CROSS .DID NOT USE BAR OR EVENING MEAL SERVICE.

Hotel was superb. Ideally situated for all theatres and sight seeing. Comfortable room, helpful friendly staff and very good breakfast. We would definitely stay there again.

great location for national gallery and southbank complex, good breakfast; sad bathroom with no shower cap and loose loo handle, hotel v busy - q for reception/book in and for breakfast table but all staff very professional and on-the-ball and more than compensated

The staff are very polite and helpful. The room was a standard and provided what was needed well. The food was excellent and plentiful. Well presented and tasty

This is a luxurious hotel in a wonderful location. The breakfast was excellent and the rooms spacious and well equipped. The only negative was that the room was incredibly ho and the air-conditioning didn`t seem to be working.

Dinner was really nice and breakfast was good but obviously understaffed.

Staff professional and helpful. Lovely big rooms, very clean and fully equipped. Breakfast was plentiful and well cooked. Heated plates would have kept the food hotter. Hotel in perfect location, station next door and underground opposite. Extremely good value for money. Would definately stay there again and recommend to all.

The double room was a good size and very well presented. Breakfast was good quality with plenty to go round. The location was superb with Trafalgar Square only a couple of hundred meters away. The tube station was right outside which was very handy to get around. We would use this hotel again when we are in London!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and was very welcomed, the staff were very helpful and friendly, our room was much more than we had expected and the hotel itself was fantastic. It was also very well positioned for all the sights, as we went to see a show did the London Eye and a Dinner River Cruise which was all within a few minutes walk. We would like to thank our children for choosing and planning the weekend to celebrate our Golden Wedding Anniversary especially the show and hotel and we would definately recommend and use this hotel again. Thank you to all the staff of the Charing Cross Hotel.

Very nice hotel in superb location, easy walking distance to Covent Garden, West End, Southbank..........Comfy room, bit of a wait for breakfast but overall really good experience staying here. Would definitely stay again if able to get a good price

Accomadation and breakfast were excellent. The only thing l was disapointed about was that as it was a twin bedded room l booked for myself and my aunt, l would have thought we would have had TWO Hand Towels and TWO bath towels (we only had one of each).

Friendly and helpful staff greet you at reception.Could not get our room as we arrived early but we could store luggage and use the very clean hotel facilities to freshen up.Re-arrival smooth and efficient. Room excellent on first impression; clean tidy and well laid out, we were in the annex which has been recently refurbished.Slept well until 6.00 am - Sunday seems to be bin emptying day!. The refurbishment did not include double glazing! Went back to sleep and woke in time for the excellent breakfast which was inclusive. Set us up for the whole day!On check out I mentioned the unwanted alarm call. promised a free upgrade if we stay again.The location is ideal for central London, sights and theatres. We will be back!

Breakfast was amazing

The hotel was fabulous! The best location possible for access to any part of London with lovely views of Nelson`s column. The hotel itself was exquisite, very clean and everyone was very helpful. Rooms where great and the breakfast room was incredible. I have stayed at many hotels and found that I would definitely be revisiting this one!

Had a very nice time at the hotel. The satff were very pleasent and helpful. Only thing is guests need to take their own flannel as hotel doesn`t provide one. Everything else is great.

Can`t fault the location, size and standard of the room, the only small irration was that there`s no mini bar in the room and it took over half an hour to get a drink from room service when arriving in the hotel after midnight and the response given for the delay was an excuse and not an apology. Also breakfast was a bit of a problem on one of the mornings of our stay, drinks and toast not brought until after we had finished eating depite asking for where they were twice and requesting these as soon as we sat down.On a positive note the breakfast quality was good and despite the glitches would probably stay again, though mainly to do with the location rather than the quality of service

Stay rather spoilt by excessive use of fire alarm plus drill! Perhaps more explanations should be given to guests as to reasons for evacuations

We will certainly stay here again. The location was perfect for sight seeing and theatre land.
