Travelling to Manchester

Flights
Manchester Airport
Flights into Manchester Airport are serviced by a direct train service which arrives at Manchester Piccadilly Station in central Manchester. The journey time is 20 minutes. From Manchester Piccadilly you can take a tram or bus to any Manchester destination.

Train
Manchester's mainline station Piccadilly, is very central. From here you can connect to the city's bus and tram network. To find out prices and timetables, visit National Rail.

Car
If bringing a car into Manchester, please be aware not many hotels have on-site parking and those that have do not offer free parking.

Tram
Metrolink is normally the quickest and easiest way of getting around Manchester. One Day Travel Cards, One-way and Return journey tickets can be purchased at all tram stations. For a map of all the tram stations click here

Taxi
Unlike London, you cannot just `hail` a cab in Manchester. There are however, a number of taxi ranks throughout Manchester's main tourism areas and at the airport where you can get a taxi.
