Hotel Indigo Edinburgh - Princes Street is located in the heart of Edinburgh`s New Town, overlooking the picturesque Edinburgh Castle. As the city`s main shopping street, Princes Street is an excellent location from which guests can explore Edinburgh. As well as the plentiful shopping and dining opportunities, guests can be introduced to emerging artists by Collective in the William Playfair-designed City Observatory which is only a five minute walk away. Alternatively, guests can climb the 287 steps to the top of the Scott Monument only a few streets away from the hotel. For another art fix, guests can adventure to the Scottish National Portrait Gallery which was opened in 1889. The purpose-built gallery celebrates such Scots as Robert Burns, Bonnie Prince Charlie and Billy Connolly.

Getting there:

BY TRAIN: Waverley is the main station in Edinburgh. When leaving the station head north-east and then turn left towards Waverley Steps. Continue towards Waverley Steps and then take the stairs. Continue up Waverley Steps. The hotel will be on your right.
BY CAR: From the north. Take the A90 towards Edinburgh. Use the two left lanes to take the slip road to A90. Continue on A90. Use the middle two lanes to turn slightly right onto Queensferry Road/A90. At the roundabout continue straight to stay on Queensferry Road/A90. Follow A90 and then turn left onto Randolph Crescent and then left again onto Great Stuart Street. At the roundabout take the second exit onto Ainslie Place. Turn right onto St Colme Street. Continue onto Albyn Place and then onto Queen Street. Continue onto York Place and straight onto Broughton Street/B901. At roundabout take second exit onto Leith Street and use any lane to turn right onto Waterloos Place/A1. Continue straight onto W Register Street and then onto W Register St Ln and the hotel will be on your left.
BY CAR: From the south. Follow the A1 towards Edinburgh. At Thirstly Cross Roundabout take the 2nd exit and stay on the A1 heading to Edinburgh. After 22 miles, at the roundabout take the second exit onto Milton Link/A1. Turn left onto Duddingston Crescent/Milton Road/A1 and continue to follow A1 for 2.2 miles. Turn left onto Wolseley Terrace/A1 and continue straight onto London Road/A1. After .5 miles continue straight onto Cadzow Place/London Road A1 and then use the left 2 lanes to turn slightly onto Montrose Terrace/A1. Go straight through one roundabout and continue straight onto W Register St and then onto W Register St Ln where you will see the hotel on your left.
