"No tea or coffee making facilities!!!"

Staff were wonderful, as was the location. Continental breakfast was just awful, the worst i have ever seen, anywhere in the world. And was very surprised to not have any tea or coffee making facilities?! Room was ok, but i certainly would not call it `de-lux`. All it was fine for one night, would not return.

"The hotel accomodation is a little tired, basic but clean."

Fortunately I recieved an `upgrade` as I checked in. Unfortunately the room was a little tired and I couldnt close the curtains as the mechanism was broken. Staff were friendly though.

Hotel Elizabeth was very handy for our trip to a concert in Hyde Park,we found all the staff very friendly and helpful, room a bit small but both room and shower room clean and ok. Some traffic noise at front of hotel,to be expected in central London?! No tea making in room but room service very reasonably priced. Impressed with garden terrace at rear of hotel, someones pride and joy! Continental breakfast included very good in nice dining room, full english £5 extra. The owners and staff care and take a pride in the hotel, and it shows.

This hotel has to have the smallest lift I have ever seen! Staff very friendly. Continental breakfast very good. Very close to tube so very convenient. Would definitely stay here again.

"Don`t go there"

Only told when arrived that room was on 4th floor and lift out of order. Told it was upgraded room - in attic, up narrow stairs, cracked windows, chipped paint, ceiling mouldy with fungus, even bathmat ripped - nowhere near 4 star - public spaces misleading - whole place sadly in need of refurb. Only 5 tv channels. Thankfully only booked 1 night as couldn`t get that first night in other hotel. Otherwise would have ruined holiday.

Nice location near to Hyde Park for walks. Close to tube station and easy to find. Comfortable, clean rooms and breakfast was adequate for the price. Staff were pleasant and accomodating.

"Friendly and helpful staff, very comfortable beds, pillows a little hard"

Shame the lift wasn`t working as we were on the fourth floor, but we were compensated with a bottle of wine and full english breakfast and the excercise was good for us. We would definitely visit The Hotel Elizabeth again. It`s close proximity to the Tube Station was very convenient. especially as it was raining part of the time.

"Pleased with our stay, would happily return."

Staff very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and warm. Could do with tea and coffee making facilities in the room, but otherwise very happy. Hotel well located for Hyde Park and Tube station.

"a quiet, cosy and friendly experience."

we would stay at the hotel again. it was friendly, cosy and the attention to detail was superb, although the wallpaper was peeling and dampish in the rooms, the high standard of shampoo, soaps etc. the tea tray ( saucer doyley ) the gentle music in the restaurant ( rose garden ) which was quiet and atmospheric ( we overheard other clients say this also ) we also found it inexpensive ( tea tray, breakfast etc ) which was excellent. the staff were both polite, friendly and pleasant. in all, a lovely peaceful experience. thank-you.

"A clean place to stay on a budget in central location, close to paddington and Hyde park"

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. Its within ten minutes walking distance of Paddington Station and ideally located on the edge of Kensington Gardens. Ideal if you want to be close to the main attractions and the central line. I was a little disappointed with the customer service at the front reception desk. They also refused to provide a kettle, so that I could make my own cup of tea in the morning without having to trek down from the fourth floor. Considering I had told them I wouldn`t be attending breakfast I didn`t think it would be a big deal. I had even bought my own milk and tea bags! Aside from this, my room was small but clean. A little too hot and not able to open the windows, but as a place to stay for a couple of nights I would recommend it to anyone on a budget. I will certainly consider staying there again - only next time, im taking my own kettle!

The hotel suited me fine. It was close to the underground. It overlooked Hyde Park which was beautiful. The staff were lovely. We had continental breakfast and found it good. The hotel is old and quaint. It could do with revamping, but our room was clean and comfortable. I would stay again.

"I wouldn`t if I were you..."

Where do I start, the only thing this hotel has going for it is location, very close to tube & park. Otherwise dreadful. Dated decor, stained walls, cracked tiles in the tiny bathroom, a shower that freezes then scalds you. The most uncomfortable rock hard bed even harder pillows that I have ever experienced. No tea/coffe making facilities. Can`t comment on breaskfast as on both occassions that we tried to have breakfast we were rudely told there was no room.

"Overbooked!!"

Very disappointed to arrive at the hotel only to be told that they didn`t have a room for me. They booked me into another hotel around the corner, but I had specifically booked the London Elizabeth because of its advertised views of Hyde Park and reviews that it had "large rooms" The hotel I was moved to had very small rooms and I was put in the lower ground floor!!

The reception staff were not particularly friendly and a manager reprimanded an employee in front of guests. We ordered a meal from the restaurant in the afternoon of our first day and it took 30 minutes for our drinks to arrive - despite being the only diners. My husband had ordered a wild mushroom and aubergine cassolet, when it arrived it was minus the mushrooms. The room was very clean and maid service was excellent. The room was in the basement, next to storage rooms - there were frequent early morning deliveries so was very noisy. Being that low down, the room was also very dark and gloomy. It would have been good to have tea and coffee making facilties in the room - it is unusual to find hotels these days that don`t offer this service. Although a pleasant hotel, I don`t think I would stay there again. I don`t mind if you want to pass my comments to the hotel. Di Cordina

Somewhat dissapointed with the hotel. Although a 3 star, we felt it just about made that rating. Decor was tired, no tea/coffee making facilities in the room, reception staff were not very friendly or helpful ( apart from one young man ), and a power cut to boot. However, breakfast was good, along with the service and the location of the hotel was very convenient and we found it quite easy to get about London.

"Great location, opposite Hyde Park. Friendly very helpful staff. Rooms very pleasant."

Hotel situated 50 yards from Lancaster Gate Tube Station. Lots of dark wood interiors and cosy furnishings. Bright and breezy atmosphere. Very helpful staff, nothing was too much trouble. Easy internet access. Room was pleasant and warm. Felt very homely and welcoming after a busy day shopping in London! Great to have parking at the rear of the hotel. Will definitely use this hotel every time I re-visit London from south of France. Well recommended.

"An unusual hotel, made out of 3 Georgian style houses. Comofrtable and quiet."

The situation of the hotel is ideal for tube and buses in all directions. Also opposite Hyde Park for your daily constitution. Reception staff were pleasant and helpful. the room was large and contained 3 beds, although I had booked single occupancy. Disappointing that there were no teamaking facilities - as this is now the norm in hotels, this should be mentioned in the booking. A tray of tea in the room was quite reasonable and included free cake. If you are thijnking of inviting someone to share at the last moment, then you will need to pay a single supplementl. A pleasant stay and I would recommend iot.

"Room 334 Twin - Clean Tired Great Value at £86 for W2 - Aircon good! Breakfast V GOOD"

I was apprehensive at the price. BUT Pleasantly surprised. Staff Great, the place is being decorated in the common areas and possibly later the rooms. The price will probably go up. Could have had the room for 75 but will be 140 next week when the value would be marginal. Good toiletries. Large room.
