Apart from the coffee at breakfast this place is fine
Room small but comfy, breakfast was carnage, staff helpful
Fairly basic hotel. Rooms next to lift needs insulating kept me awake two night
Near the tube station . Reception was quick efficient and friendly. Rooms are small and clean -bed was comfortable .
Rooms are only ok. Breakfast was ok. Hotel can be a little loud at times.
Good but small rooms, they are comfortable. Breakfast could be better and the food hotter, but eatable none-the-less. Overall a good place to stay at
We eventually got to rest our heads gone 2 in the morning due to idiots slamming doors, shouting down corridors to there friends. No response from reception to this problem. Then breakfast was a total free for all. No checking if you`d stayed at the hotel/room check. No seats, no food and what you found was cold. Lovely clean room but don`t walk down the stairs so dirty and smelly you might catch something !!
A good central hotel that was clean & comfortable for our one night stay. If you were staying longer & needed to hang your clothes up that may be a problem as coat hangers didn`t fit wardrobe space. Rooms were too hot for my liking so we left the windows open but otherwise it suited our needs. Breakfast was great but could have been hotter. Beds comfortable & clean. Need a hook on the bathroom door!
Room clean and comfortable but VERY small. Breakfast very disappointing, cheap sausages, cold mushrooms, NO BACON AND NO EGGS! Who has a full English without bacon and eggs!?!?
Communal areas could do with some polish - a bit hostel like but my room clean tidy and smelt fresh. Looked recently re-done. Very comfortable. The staff are helpful and kind. The location is central, but not noisy. A quick stroll to the tube. I felt safe as a woman travelling alone.
Friendly staff not bad breakfast A/C in room noisy like rushing water pain
This hotel was very clean and comfortable with very friendly and helpful staff. Nice room and quiet neighbourhood.
Came here o London with my daughter and we wanted to go shopping and visit some places. The Bayswater hotel is very good for this and we didn`t have to catch the underground or buses we walked and it was nice walking through Kensington Gardens. Th hotel staff wer friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great and keep you going all day. Really enjoyed our stay and would go back again.
Very friendly staff and the hotel room was small but fabulous coffee maker and looks like new bathroom. Had a very pleasant stay and despite all the notices about keeping noise down I didn`t hear a thing all night - highly recommended hotel.
Room clean and tidy. A little on the tight side and could hear every conversation in the corridor. Breakfast was a little minimalistic with not much choice and scrambling for a table. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Overall a nice stay for a couple of nights.
very good staff well run hotel for a short spell we were there
Basic but clean. Rooms at the front of hotel very noisy from street below. From 5 am onwards.
Clean room friendly helpful reception staff But I am currently sat in foyer balancing my breakfast on a stool as there are twice as many people wanting breakfast as there are seats Nice breakfast but an experience!!!
Basic accommodation but well worth the price. Easy to find, clean room and helpful staff. Surprised by the choice at breakfast - go early or late though as table space limited.
The pictures on your website look really nice. But the room is horrible. The heating stayed on in the bathroom all night so we had to keep the window open. It was small, ugly and things were peeling away. The corridor was dirty. There were stains and dampness on the ceiling. The TV was not straight and couldn`t be moved. The only good thing was the silence. Not worth the money at all, very disappointed. Wouldn`t mind if the pictures were just honest about it, I was expecting much better. B1151965.
Location is great . Close to shops at Bayswater and South Kensington Palace. Very Close to tube station and only one change to get to the west end .
One complaint the plates at breakfast were stone cold thus making the breakfast get cold very quickly!!! They could have been at least warm !!!
our stay was great however we booked a taxi from the reception .the taxi did not know the way even given the post code. it cost £17. The return journey cost £4.60.We were 20 minutes late for our table.Shame and very costly. The rest of our stay was great and we will be back.
We were in one of the recently refurbished rooms 215. For a short stay it fitted the bill. Only down side was the faulty shaver point. This was reported but still no shave during my stay. Shaver works fine at home.
A no frills hotel, room and ensuite were clean. Bed was not the most comfortable we felt the springs as soon as we sat on the bed. Breakfast was a bit of a letdown, had a bit of a hostel feel about the place but served its purpose for a night.
Hotel is very dated and old. The corridors leading to rooms are highly confusing. The decor, floor boards, carpets are from 1980`s. The rooms are basic but has all the facilities such as hair dryers, kettle, tea bags, coffee and milk. The bathroom is good with towels and toiletries and the bed sheets are clean. Only two pillows on bed. The rooms are have basic style dated furniture. The TV is ALBA brand and not all the buttons work on the remote. The bedroom walls are dirty and need painting. In fact the rooms and corridors require refurbishing and a good layout. The reception staff are friendly and helpful. The morning breakfast is OK... cooked breakfast and eat as much as you like. Sausages, mushrooms, scrambled eggs, beans and tomatoes. I wouldn`t pay more than £70.00 per night (it is London) but the hotel needs serious sprucing up!
First off no one speaks very good english so there is a language barrier, secondly the hotel is in dire need of a refurbishment. We had a room with three beds and one of the beds was completely broken and was not safe to sleep on as my son fell out of the bed twice as it was slanted dramatically at one side. Breakfast was poor and the staff could only get the simple things right such a croissants and toast etc. Conclusively my family`s stay at the Bayswater inn was tragic therefore we will not be staying there again.
Overall a clean simple place to stay. Wifi did not work at all and the breakfast was fairly basic. But for 100/ night in London not far from Hyde Park with good local pubs and restaurants and shops on the Bayswater road it is a nice location. The square facing the hotel meant the area was quiet, except perhaps for the sound of the nearby church bell tower ringing out the quarters, halves and the hours. Seems a lot of people think it is fine too as it was pretty full. Can recommend
Arrived 2pm to be told room unavailable due to damage, relocated to some near by apartments. Which were a poor exchange no hotel facilities, no hot water shower very unpredictable, very noisy location, that`s why we picked Bayswater inn away from main road. Went back to complain following morning only to find other guest in same boat. There was no duyt manager available (joke) I know they had over / double booked the room and use these poor apartments as an alternative. We did get breakfast at the Bayswater, but that was an experience in it self very very poor I am still waiting for some one to call me back out of courtesy as I require a full refund.
Staff were grumpy to the point of rudeness The hotel carpets, walls and lifts were beyond tired, they were shabby and positively filthy in areas. The room was so small, there was barely room to squeeze sideways past the bed. The bedding, however, was clean and the beds were comfy. The bathroom was also clean and adequate. The 7am- 10am, breakfast had practically run out by 8.40. however The hot drink machine broken. The alternative, supposedly orange juice, was artificial. We had to eat out for breakfast. The young lady who checked us out was both polite and friendly, the first in three days. It is a great shame the other staff couldn`t muster up so much as a smile, it goes along way. I can only assume that the staff are unhappy in their work, which is very sad because it carried over into the atmosphere of the hotel. I am sorry but I cannot recommend this hotel. I would be hesitant in booking a hotel with the theatre deal again after this experience.
From checkin - miserable staff, new staff that had been there for two days was asking her colleagues for help as she was new and wasn`t getting support. Poor information of how to get to our room. Porter refused to help with storing baggage because he was going for break! Safe wouldn`t work in the room, air conditioning unit was smelling awful when it was switched on. Terrible tea bags in room (not a British make!). Breakfast was terrible, I have never known a hotel who does a cooked breakfast didn`t have bacon!!!!! Mushrooms were sitting in buckets of olive oil, sausages poor meat constant and over cooked. Butter not next to bread in fridge instead it was yogurt and then the bitter was located far away around the corner. Basically the layout for breakfast was terrible. Plates were freezing cold so breakfast was stone cold by the time you sat down to eat. Staff miserable and Not accommodating to our requests. I will NEVER EVER book at this place again!!!!!
Great hotel for price room was comfortable and breakfast was nice my toddler enjoyed the stay and short journey to local tube and restaurants and tesco express
Very dated and in need of repairs .. Breakfast much better than room
Room was clean, bed comfortable. Grateful for the air conditioning which you could control in your own room. Service was reasonable but the breakfast was quite disappointing. Overall not too bad for the price in that area of London
