"breakfast/staff"

overall the hotel was brilliant but when it came to breakfast on our first morning my husband requested baked beans with his meal and the staff were excellant and provided baked beans with his breakfast, however on the next morning he was told he couldn have any as they were for the vegiterran breakfast only, when told we had them the day before the waitress went off to ask, we were told the chef said no, even after offering to pay extra, the waitress did bring some about a spoonful and charged us 1euro 95. The money isn`t the issue but the attitude is and dosn`t bood well in recommending the hotel.

"Great Hotel"

Great Hotel, location very good in the heart of Temple Bar. Room was clean and spacious. Only fault with this hotel is the breakfast in which you should be prepared to wait as the service was poor and the food not great. But apart from that everything else was fine.

"One of the most expensive hotels, beautiful layout, location and very modern in all aspects."

I`d stay there again, the layout was very modern, rooms warm and very well laid out. The location was ideal and what you pay in extras for the hotel quality, you save in not paying taxi`s etc...

"Disappointed we did not get cooked breakfast on the morning of our departure. "

We came down for breakfast at 7 am, our taxi had been booked for 7.30 am, and were told no cooked breakfast until 8 am. There were so many people in the foyer, and we were not allowed into the dining room, so we had to grab a croissant and there was no milk for tea.

"Average Room"

Our first impression upon arrival was breakfast. I asked for scrambled egg with tomato and on receiving just scrambled egg was told the chef could not do tomato with this. I asked for the same the second day to be told it is a set menu, i could have tomato and scrambled egg with the full irish but not just scrambled egg and tomato, how ridiculous, it is the first time in any hotel that we have been told something as stupid as that. The hotel was ideally situated but we would not visit again due to the unflexibilty and stupidity of the kitchen staff

"A significant cost for a very averge hotel"

Dont leave your bags before booking in! They were squashed by others thrown on top when we came back. Key cards didnt work on arrival. Hole in bathroom door, someone had punched or kicked. Moved to another room, needed a twin, given a kingsize then moved back to original. Offered free meal in evening as compenation and they even got that order wrong! Apart from that comfy and warm, just very pricey for level of service

"Bathroom sink faulty and not repaired after being reported"

A bit disappointed, this was the fourth time I`ve used this hotel and on this occasion found the staff a bit off hand. I had a couple of comments about the room which appear to be ignored. Expect noise if your room is at the front.

"Good location but not really worth the price."

Stayed at the hotel from 1st - 3rd Sept. Location of hotel was fantastic. Room was ok (clean enough) and reception staff was prompt. However, one of the window in room 407 couldn`t open and there was a constant sound throughout the day & night (think could be aircon/generator). During 1st day at breakfast, I`ve overheard a customer asking if he could have an extra fried egg with his breakfast and was refused by waitress - thought this was very petty. On 2nd day at breakfast, witnessed another customer complaining that yogurt was out of date - thought that this was very bad. Overall, for the price that I`ve paid £250 for 2 nights I would expect better service from the hotel. Apart from the location, I wouldn`t really recommend the hotel. I thought that the restaurant staffs were very moody and did not smile apart from one guy.

"Excellent location and excellent food"

I would highly recommend this hotel. Have stayed here 3 times. The location is central to all bars / restaurants and the shops and amenities are within walking distance. They even serve breakfast until 11.00 am, which is a bonus!!

"E- booking difficulties - see below"

The rooms were booked in one name ,but paid for under another. On trying to check-in there was only reference to the booking under the name which paid for the rooms - not the name under which the actual booking was made. This led to much confusion and delays in checking in for the 4 people involved. Breakfast unsatisfactory in general - for e.g. bacon v.undercooked. Rooms ok - bedspreads had some stains....Otherwise, reception staff were pleasant.

Although the room was called the Chairman`s suite and cost over £120 for one night, there was no trouser press, tv remote, bath or a wardrobe!! There was however much and varied furniture stacked in a cupboard, which may have been the wardrobe, and assorted tables and chairs in the room. Not recommended!

"A very nice hotel in the heart of Dublin"

First impressions were that this hotel was at the top end of 3*. On closer inspection you can see it`s a bit rough round the edges. The breakfast was a bit on the stingy side. However, I was generally very happy I chose this hotel.
