Close to the main train line but couldn`t hear it in the night. Had a problem with the electrics in the room when using the iron which caused the power to go out but was fixed before we returned for the night. Breakfast over priced, would expect loose tea and fresh fruit rather than tinned fruit
room was ok for an overnight stay but very dated
Absolutely fantastic hotel. Nothing was too much trouble and the breakfast was wonderful.
Smart hotel, really clean, well located near Westminster . We extended our stay . Thanks Amanda on reception, getting one of our rooms changed (it was booked while we asked to stay the extra night) Hotels direct theatre breaks provide a great service. Cheaper than booking both hotel and theatre separately. When we decided to extend our stay they got us a cheaper rate than we found on the net. So easy as well we phoned the number on our confirmation e-mail and the really helpful lady sorted it out within a couple of mins. All round fab service . I will use them again
Nice hotel, big room. such a shame that all the building work is going on to the left, right and even on top of it. Avoid floor 1 at weekend this time of year as your by the function room, christmas party time. kept awake from 2,3 and 4 am due to rowdy party goers trooping past the room. Breakfast was good and plenty although the room was cramped, think its a function/corporate room converted to serve food during building work. In saying all this we were out all day sight seeing so only in the hotel late evening and breakfast. Good position on the Albert Embankment 6 minutes from the tube at vauxhall. Hotel are putting in a good effort during all the building work, very helpful.
The hotel has building work going on to the left, right and directly above!! We were not warned about this and the building work started before 8am on a weekend! I brought this up at check out for the girl on reception to tell me "it`s not something we decide" in reference to telling customers about the building work. I realised that, dear - you`re just on reception. But this wasn`t really the response I was expecting from a supposedly 4 star hotel. Perhaps I`ll bring it up with the manager and get so one to contact you? The breakfast was a shambles. Other than that, passable.
The hotel overall was very nice. I had asked for an upgrade before arrival to an executive room with river views which the hotel said on arrival was free of charge unfortunately the river views was hidden behind a multistory building being built next door. Breakfast was cold and chaotic with staff being unable to adequately assist
The hotel room was lovely and the staff all very pleasant one little disappointment was that I had arranged a glass of prosseco for my daughters birthday at breakfast but it was overlooked and was told she could have complimentary chocolates as it was her birthday but apart from that it was a lovely stay
Attentive staff. Very good range of food for breakfast. Rooms clean and beds comfortable.
Staff can`t do enough for you. Dean the doorman is a legend!!
Staff informative. Room was very clean and large. Location brilliant. Highly recommend the Plaza Will go again
staff helpful/ pleasant, room lovely.
Lovely staff& room, shame about the view and the construction that started up at 07.30
the noise came from the close proximity to the railway juncture which we overlooked and a strange noise that we struggled to get a handle on until the next day which appeared to be the lift shaft motors as room near lifts. on top of this the heating cycle on air con didn`t appear to work. It was very cold but after arriving back quite late after night out and then realising that it wasn`t warming up we were in bed. We considered ringing reception but at gone midnight what could they realistically have done!!! We decided to soldier on. I did mention it on check out too which they did apologise. Breakfast was nice with a good comprehensive choice of fare.Whole field mushrooms were a treat.
Having specifically booked this hotel and the show we assumed that it would be easy to get a taxi to take us to our evening show, this turned out to not be the case, there was a wedding party taking place that night and we were told by the door man that is would be impossible to get a taxi to the front of the hotel while the guests were arriving, we said that we would wait on the road but as he was preoccupied by the wedding guests arriving he refused to phone a taxi for us and he advised us to walk to the underground and use that, this we did and no thanks to him we managed to get there on time to enjoy the show. On our return later we decided to use room service, on ordering our food I was told that it would be 25-30 minutes, it arrived over an hour later stone cold and my burger was not properly cooked in the middle. Apart from that we enjoyed our stay.
Great room - overall stay fantastic
Very comfortableand well-appointed room. 1st class breakfast and very nice restaurant(s).
Reception did not LISTEN to requests. Booked table for 4 in club lounge, at £25 per head plus drinks. Found later they had booked us into Latino restaurant at £99 per head. However good hotel if you tell them eveything twice.
On arrival the service we received was to the highest of standards. The room was prepared and we were let in early, the room was exellent. I would recommend this hotel to any one.
Fab hotel - executive suite rooms are gorgeous - really pleased! Thanks park plaza riverbank for making our Christmas visit so lovely
excellent in every respect...would definitely recommend to family and friends visiting London.
The rooms were excellent along with the facilities and location. Reasonable price and the staff were friendly and accommodating.
Very good Hotel and location had an excellent stay, very helpful and friendly staff, would recommend for a London visit
Very nice hotel and would stay there again. Unfortunately I did not find many cafes very close by. I also found the walk to Waterloo longer than the description said.
Room was spotless and very comfy bed, and staff very friendly and helpful .
Fantastic looking building, very pleasent staff, lovely room, the bed was really comfy.
Excellent hotel couldn`t have asked for better what a lovely weekend
Great value hotel just 10minute walk from the houses of parliament. Arrived and checked in to find I had a twin room when I booked a double, one call to reception & i`d been upgraded to a junior suite!! Great hotel bar & all staff very attentive! Definately a hotel worth visiting!
From start to Finnish the service was first class would highly recommend and will return in the future. The best hotel service I have ever recieved.
The hotel was beautiful. The room was beautiful. The staff were pleasant and friendly and made us feel very welcome. I would definately reccomend to family and friends.
I enjoyed my stay - rooms were very comfortable & clean - staff very friendly. The Breakfast menu was quite comprehensive
asked if we wanted to add breakfast at extra cost when we had already booked and paid for that, asked if we wanted to have river view room at an extra £30 pounds when i showed that we had already requested that when we booked we were told that none were available.did feel that as we had booked through Hotel Direct that we were inferior guests and not treated with respect by reception.would not stay there again.
Great location & excellant restuarant.
