"VERY GOOD"

Have rated as `Very Good` rather than `Excellent` merely due to the size of the rooms which are ok for a short stay but could be a bit cramped for a week! I now find the system doesn`t allow me to proceed without giving a rating so hence the `Good` - but it was better than that! STAFF - Very helpful. There was problem with our allocated room and we were immediately offered another, with no hesitation. CLEANLINESS - The cleanliness of accommodation was all of a very high standard. NOISE - Although the hotel was busy, the soundproofing appeared to be very good because we were not disturbed by other guests at all. RETURN? - YES we would!

"Good value, good location, clean, pity about the breakfast."

Not enough staff or tables in breakfast area. Staff done their best but simply overrun. Came down for breakfast at just after nine to find tables full or covered in used plates, no cutlery, plates or glasses left, had to wait for the clearly hardworking but overrun staff to clean, cook and serve as we sat at a table full of uses dishes and plates. Pity, everything else about the hotel was fine.

"Efficient, friendly staff and delicious breakfast."

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel - it was close to the areas we wanted to visit, and to the airport bus stop and open-top bus starting point. If we were to re-visit the hotel, I would request a room at the rear, as it was a bit noisy at the front - otherwise great!

Friendly reception staff, room was okay although did smell of cigarette smoke. Think this may be due to the fact that bedroom looked onto patio area where people were smoking and this drifted in the window. Wifi access was excellent. Breakfast was average definitely not an Irish breakfast as advertised.

Dear Reviewer, Thank you for taking the time in posting your review. We are delighted to see you enjoyed your stay with us. I see from your comments you must have been allocated a room to the back overlooking the patio area which is a smoking area to. "Very good location"

In general, I am pleased with this hotel because the location was perfect: 2minutes from the main street, about 9minutes to Trinity College and about 10-15 minutes to most of the tourist places in the heart of the city centre. The room itself was clean, with comfortable bed, reasonable space - all you need to sleep in a good room. The bathroom was functionable and clean. The only objection and where they could definitely improve was the kitchen/canteen. The girls who were serving food were not really welcoming compared to those at the reception, plus they tended to be a bit slow in serving. The food at the breakfast was ok, nothing very special. I would recommend this hotel to those who plan to visit and spend most of the time in the city of Dublin.

Just back from a 3 night stay , The Dublin City Inn is located within walking distance of all the main attractions. The room we were given i must say, was smaller than it appeared to be on the web page. "Great location & good value"

Very central location in Dublin City Centre. Rooms are small but clean and have TV, hairdryer, tea/coffee making & safe. Only problem is that there is no heat in ensuite. Limited secure private parking available (free of charge) is fantastic, if you are lucky enough to get a space. Booked on room only basis so can`t comment on breakfast, which costs ?8.50. Reception staff very friendly & helpful. FANTASTIC VALUE!

"Brilliant location, helpful staff."

Couldn`t be in a better location for a short trip to Dublin, as the vast majority of attractions are within short walking distance. Easily located due to it`s proximity to the Spire as well as to the Airport Links bus. When we arrived the Receptionist asked if we would like to have two single rooms on the same floor as opposed to the twin room we had booked, at no extra cost. In fact if we were to go again we would choose the two singles because both of the rooms we had were really good sizes, with a generous bathroom and fully functioning equipment. The black out blinds were also much appreciated! We had the full Irish breakfast at the hotel which filled us up for a full day of sight seeing, and Reception held our bags for us after check out until our late evening flight. Great stay, excellent value for money, would definitely recommend!

"You get what you pay for! Great location, helpful staff, however........"

Great location helpful staff, however our room had a dodgy light fitting that rattled when anybody in the room above moved. Could`nt have stayed any longer than two nights without going barking. Taking all that & the damp smelling bathroom into consideration it was a good value option. It was clean & had comfy beds. Very close to all the sights & the various buses & coaches to the airport.

"great value central hotel"

Dublin City Inn is very central, just off O Connell Steet, Dublin`s main thoroughfare. One of the main reasons we chose this hotel was because of the free car parking which is very rare in Dublin central hotels. The car park was small so arriving early would be advisable, but the car park was secure with a locked gate. The room was very clean, a bit on the small side but we were only sleeping there so this was fine. The room has all the facilities you would require; free safe, tea and coffee making facilities etc. There is also a large residents lounge with an outside patio areas for the smokers. I have stayed in a great number of Dublin hotels and I certainly would not hesitate to return to Dublin City, it provides great value accommodation in the heart of Dublin with free secure parking to boot.

"Conveniently situated hotel within the City!"

Stayed overnight, midweek at this hotel & found it to be ideal for our purposes! Room 313 is an end room and has 4 single beds that were all comfortable, clean & worthy of a return! Tea making facilities always a plus point as is a clean, polished bathroom, no complaints here! Both scored 5/5. Breakfast room light & airy & food was good. Convenient lounge area for watching TV with comfy sofas & Rothko style prints on the walls. Hotel staff friendly & very accommodating.
