hotel was fine the noise from Barrys across the road kept us awake most of Friday night,we did get a move to another room for Saturday but sorry to say another sleepless night!! The shouting and yelling from outside on the street went on all night!! This sadly to say would put us off ever booking hotel again.
When we arrived we were told that we had 2 double rooms even though we had asked for 2 twins. The receptionist immediately checked and found 2 rooms with a double and single bed, this meant the rooms were quite large. She was very helpful as were all the staff. We had paid for room only but purchased a voucher for â?¬20 and had a 2 course evening meal and breakfast. Both were good value and very nice. For the overall price we paid all 4 in my party were pleased with both the hotel and location and would highly recommend it.
nice staff, rooms ok, but had one at the front , very noisey and no net curtain! like being in a fishbowl, lovley receptionist moved us to the back, and we had loud fans going all night, breakfast ok, evening meal awfull frozen fish in breadcrumbs yuck,
I stayed there for 3 nights the twin/double rooms were very big. heated well as weather was very cold outside. The bar staff were very freindly and made me feel very welcomed. 10 min walk from temple bar and easy to find on the way home (if you get my drift)
Rooms obviously been repainted but things not quite finished. For instance, the bath was old and the grout mouldy. Tea area stained and old. But apart from that the room was good.
staff were welcoming and friendly and we really enjoyed our stay, close to everthing
Hotel was in a good location, 15 min walk to Temple Bar area. Three of us staying in a triple room which had a double and two single beds, room was decent size and bathroom was too. Room was very clean. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast had plenty of choice and good value at 8 euro. Don`t have anything negative to say about this hotel and would definately stay here again.
me and a friend came away for the weekend, it was a fantastic stay, the hotel staff are friendly, the bar staff were brilliant, the hotel room was great and very comfy, its a nice room, worth every penny. i would recommend the hotel to anyone wanting to stay in dublin. have no complaints, fantastic!!
Great hotel for the centre of Dublin. Would happily stay here again.
Can`t comment on the food as we were room only but room was clean, spacious and hotel itself was as expected.
Very friendly and efficient staff. The room was large, beds confortable and generally clean and welcoming. Despite beiing in a central location the hotel was quiet. Our heating did not appear to work but once reported the receptionist immediately found a heater and brought it to our room. I would stay at the Belevedere again.
Overall it was okay, nice and clean and good sized rooms however, the room was so hot we couldn`t sleep and when we opened the window it was very noisy, some kind of heating vent right outside. There was no kind of room service and not even a mini bar so when I couldn`t sleep for being so hot I got hungry and couldn`t get anything to eat!
Was really good! Went for my boyfriends 30th for 3 days ... Was really central, just round the corner from oconnell street. Quiet. Awesome shower & v good breakfast! Cons: just that the pipes made a dreadful sound everytime u flushed but really good value :0) ... Will be going back again
Good hotel, close to the town centre. Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. Would use it again.
A short walk from O`Connel Street - Great Location. Staff so friendly and helpful, gave us a wake up call and booked us a taxi for an early morning flight.
We didn`t expect much from the hotel with the bargin price but we were delighted with the place, a real find! Great service, clean, relatively modern spacious rooms & very peaceful, no noisy corridors or road noise. We had a meal in the bar & breakfast next day & enjoyed it all. Would highly recommend this hotel as it`s so handy to O`Connell Street.
from booking in to leaving the staff were very nice and helpful, the breakfast was excellent and on the first night we ate in the bar which was also very good, although one of the serving staff needs a little more training as she did not know wines or what the soup was or indeed the chefs special. But a very small quibble as we were all very pleased with our choice of hotel. Thank you.
I found this hotel clean enough and staff very friendly, only complaint was a bit noisy on the friday night after the pub part came out, and a few rowdy young ones slamming doors but the reception dealt with the problen right away, its very handy for shopping and buses. I would have no problem using again, I didnt eat there as there are plenty of other places around O`Connell st ect, and they were slightly cheaper.
Rooms were clean and tidy. the hotel staff were very approachable, helpful and friendly. I would certinaly stay at the Belvedere Hotel on my next visit
Well placed for all attractions. Excellent reception. Good food and first class service. Rooms clean, comfortable and spacious. The only problem was the volume of the singer`s amplifier. A good performer in a room that size needs no artificial acoustic aids let alone one which distorts all the sounds because of the volume.
Excellent hotel, friendly staff, ideal for o`connell street shoppers
Would be helpful to have a welcome and info pack in the room. On Saturday our room was not cleaned, however fresh towels were left outside the door! We had a room at the front opposite Barry`s Hotel. The noise made by smokers outside this hotel and the fight between two women on Friday morning 1.30am was horrendous! Get a room at the back! Staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast very good. Handy for Dublin City centre and bus routes.
Good value for money, comfortable beds, well situated. Only ate once in restaurant, wasn`t great but staff nice. All round it was good and would use it again.
Excellent location just off O`connell St., Nice bar with good food in the hotel itself. Room was large, we had 1 double and one single but could have fitted another double in, Bedding, towels were lovely and clean with shower gel shampoo etc all provided. Safe deposit safe in our room... Reception staff were very polite and helpful. All in all very very happy and would definatly recommend it to my friends and family. Thank you Hotel Direct and The Belvedere and all the best for the future Martin and Hayley Swansea
Everything brilliant except the room was far too warm! And when we opened our window no air came in as we looked out into an enclosed space! At night every 5 mins a fan came on which made a lot of noise and there were loads of pigeons gathered in the space and always sat on the window sill and coo-ed! Quite annoying when your trying to sleep! However, breakfast was lovely, staff were friendly, bar was cosy and always had an atmosphere! The system to keep your luggage after you have checked out was fantastic as you received a ticket for your bags and the door was locked. The hotel is also in a brilliant location just round the corner from a number of bus stops and o`connel street is just down the road! Overall we had a great weekend!
private car park was more than 50metres away, this is the way it was described on the website.
Room was fine but en-suite rather small, both however were nice & clean. There was no view from the window but generally the room was quiet, except when coach parties had an early start. . Reception staff were very helpful whenever we spoke to them. We didn`t eat in the hotel so can`t comment on this aspect but overall my wife & I thought it was decent value for money.
Convienient for O`Connell Street and from there Dublin`s main attraction.
The room was excellent, however our overall experience was dampened when, on arrival at 2.35 pm we had to wait over an hour for our room to be ready!. The customer service skills of the front of house staff could do with some training. No apology was given for the delay on our room being ready.
