Would book again
Excellent location, friendly, helpful staff, clean room though a little small. Would definitely use this hotel again.
Large scale building work opposite hotel, so drilling and noise from 8:00am. Good location for tube and perfectly adequate for a city break stay. Friendly helpful staff and good breakfasts.
A comfortable hotel in a superb location near Kensington gardens.
Disappointed with our room. We were down in the basement with bars on the window. Felt like we were in a dungeon. The bed was placed against the window and we had a constant draught on our necks. Could not open the drawers fully in the cupboard at the bottom of the bed as there was not enough room. Feel that we were misled with the pictures of the rooms on the web site for the hotel. On the positive side, the staff were all polite and the continental breakfast was more than adequate.
Room cold at night; suggest a thicker or additional quilt/blanket. Coffe at breakfast cold. Staff very friendly. Thanks.
We booked this hotel as we were going to an event at the Royal Albert Hall. It is 5 minutes walk away and perfect as such. All staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. As other people commented the room we stayed in was small but this was not a problem. Room facilities excellent including bottled water. The only thing I did not like were the wooden blinds at the windows instead of curtains. They did not allow the room to become dark and did not keep the cold out. Would have preferred curtains, but this a personal preference thing. It would make me reluctant to stay in summer!
Overall, a very nice hotel. My only problem was the shower - lack of pressure made it fairly useless. Needs looking into.
Well situated to cover the Kensington and all locations close to Hyde park. Perfect for our requirement to be near Imperial College and our daughters graduation at the Royal Albert Hall. The family room we had was just right for two adults and a child, staff pleasant and very helpful.
We were going to a show at the Albert hall so position was excellent. The staff were very welcoming and helpfull. the room was small and bathroom was a very small shower room. No curtains or double glazing made the traffic noice intrusive till the early hours. Very clean , continental breakfast excellent. Would use again if I could choose a room away from front of hotel. .
The staff were very helpful and the bed comfortable, however the single room was very small.
A well kept hotel with friendly staff in a nice area of london close to kensington house and gardens, about a ten miniute walk to High street kensington tube station.
Smart place just off Kensington High Street but very quiet. Helpful staff. My room had a great little terrace overlooking trees.
We were on the top floor in a small room, but it was perfect for our needs. Everyone in the hotel was helpful and pleasant. Nice touch of a welcome letter and free drink at the bar. hairdryer, iron etc all supplied- great for a short break. We would use this hotel again if we needed to be in that part of London.
The situation is excellent, off the main road so not noisy but close enough to Kensington High Street with interesting shops and restaurants and a 5 minute walk to the Tube Station. Was pleased to find an iron, ironing board and safe in the room. Continental breakfast is fine with fresh fruit, toast, buns, croissants etc. The staff are friendly and helpful.
Nice hotel, friendly staff good value for money in a great location
great location.
Really not impressed with the hotel. Tried to find somewhere else to stay but couldn`t. Rooms were tiny. There was a distinct smell and we found hairs in the bathroom on the floor not belonging to ourselves. I am very unhappy with what is supposed to be a three star hotel.
A couple of small niggles- the lift wasn`t working yesterday afternoon (at least, another guest and I waited 10 minutes before attacking the stairs!) and the ceiling fan was not working and noone could be found to put it right (annoying on one of the hottest nights of the year!) Otherwise, very pleasant staff, welcome drink appreciated, good breakfast. Room very small- next time we would go for a better one.
No complaints!
Great location within short walk to Kensington High Street (and nearby Waggamma!!). Friendly staff, very comfortable room with all necessary amenities and a quiet nights sleep! Excellent breakfast. A real hit!
I found this Hotel to be very good. Though the rooms were small they were clean up to date, great shower! which is a must for me. The staff were helpful and very friendly the breakfast was also excellent , would definitely stay in this Hotel again.
The hotel was good, the staff were very helpful and location was great for the Royal Albert Hall. The only downside was breakfast as everybody came down at the same time and space was limited, but after a short wait tables were cleared and breakfast was lovely, the waitress was very apologetic. I would use the hotel again.
Location was fantastic for our trip to the Royal Albert Hall. We also walked to Notting Hill from there. The reception staff were very friendly. Breakfast was a continental buffet with decent fresh orange juice. You could pay extra for a number of cooked breakfast dishes. The only negatives were that the room was very small indeed, although it was clean, well equipped and nicely decorated. And the passenger lift was next to our room and quite noisy.
STAFF VERY HELPFULL AND FRIENDLY. LOVELY LOCATION. VERY PEACEFULL. ONLY DOWNSIDE WAS THAT BEDS / MATTRESSES WERE TOO HARD.
Stayed for one night and was very impressed with the room and the helpfulness of the staff
My wife and I stayed here for one Saturday night while visiting the Albert Hall just a few minutes walk away. Just tucked away off the the main road, it was easy to find and nice and quiet. Staff were attentive, polite and friendly. Our room was modern, very clean & fresh and well appointed. A real pleasure to stay in. There`s a nice little bar for pre-theatre drinks and an excellent breakfast the following day. We could not have asked for more and we would definately stay here again. Recommended.
We had a very good stay in The Kensington House Hotel. The hotel is very convenient for Kensington High St and a short walk or bus ride to Olympia which was our destination. Our bathroom was suprisingly large for a London hotel. I often stay in another hotel when i visit Kensington but wiill now change to this hotel.
Friendly, pleasant hotel, well enough equipped room, good breakfast. Good for a short break, maybe a bit limited for a longer stay. Some nice touches like complementary drink.
A good small hotel in a quiet residential area. Good customer service. Good value for money
