We stayed 1 night and were warmly welcomed and looked after from arrival to departure. Comfortable beds, efficient and friendly breakfast service, complimentary drink in the bar on arrival, 5 minutes walk, at most, from Ken High Street tube or street parking outside of residents permit restrictions, so after 1.30pm on Saturday completely unrestricted, we will return next time we need a bed in London for the weekend. Room not large but perfectly fine and some cosmetic updating would be good in the bathrooms but perfectly adequate. Every member of staff could not have been more helpful and that makes all the difference to us.
Very quite, lovely room with en suite dressing gowns, tv, tea & coffee making, radio, ceiling fan. Comfy beds. Very handy for Kesington Palace and gardens, Royal Albert Hall and Knightsbridge. 5 min walk from Kensington High Street tube. Continental breakfast was delicious with very attentive staff. Nice fresh fruit and lots of hot coffee and tea. There is a very large building site opposite. They shut down at 5pm and start at 8am. didn`t disturb us at all. Thank you to the staff for a pleasant stay. Might see you again.
We really enjoyed our 3 night stay at the Kensington House Hotel .Staff were very polite and helpful. Rooms were spotless with TV and tea & coffee making facilities .Hotel is very close to Kensington Gardens with bus route to city.Look forward to our next visit B.Wald.
Really enjoyed our stay here. The hotel staff were welcoming & friendly. It was very clean and rooms were comfortable. Also a great location for seeing the sights.
friendly staff good breakfast, close to the royal albert hall for concert
Nice clean rooms , good service . Breakfast was of a good quality . Only down side was like lots of hotels of the like the room was very warm at night . There was a celling fan , but needed to leave the window open all night . Apart from that small problem I enjoyed the stay and will probably use it again.
Staff very nice, rooms a tad small but clean and comfortable. However would not stay there again until building work on opposite side of the room had been fully completed. Noise levels exceedingly high and work going on even on a Saturday morning did not bode well for a relaxing holiday.
Enjoyed our stay and found the staff very helpfull and friendly. Only a couple of comments, the room was very warm and could do with air conditioning and as we opened the windows to get some air the noise of the building works was deafening.
First room we were given was very small but we were told hotels direct had approved of it. After telling them my husband had had a stroke and needed more space they obliged and we got a much better room. Good to get a free welcome drink but bar prices were very expensive.
Did not think the hotel was four star. Furniture chipped in twin bedroom would have been easy to restore with a little filler and paint. Bar had hArdly any bottles on display on then shelves giving the impression the hotel was not doing well. Could be a little gem but attention to detail would make a big difference. Nice breakfast.
Hotel was fine. We only stayed one night but it is friendly and a great base for exploring London. I will certainly be using this hotel again
Friendly, welcoming staff. Comfortable, clean rooms with everything we needed. We will definitely stay at this hotel again on our next trip to london
Small friendly hotel on a quiet side steet off Kensington High Street. Close to Kensington Gardens and the museums. Tube 5 -10 mins walk from hotel. Lovely continental breakfast included in the room rate which was good value for money. Our double room was quite small but more than adequate for us. Bed comfortable with nice bed linen. Building work nearby but we are early risers so the noise did not bother us. I would happily recommend this hotel to a friend and would stay there again.
Great little hotel, staff can`t do enough for you, very friendly , had a great 3 night stay
The hotel is lovely, clean and comfortable, the staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was to much trouble. Would definitely recommend
Uncomfortable beds, shabby bathrooms, dingy lighting, noisy particularly including the huge building site over the road, generally grim
Perfectly adequate with helpful staff and convenient location but not 4 star in terms of room quality or facilities. Also be aware adjacent building work is very noisy from early morning.
A very well placed hotel within easy walking distance of the Royal Albert Hall, High Street, Kensington Palace and so the list goes on. Twin bedroom was fine, beds maybe a little hard however thats personal preference. Plenty of hot water and good size bathroom. Nice to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Public areas very clean and tidy. The Tiger Bar for breakfast was good - good choice of juices, cereals, bread, pastries, meats, cheese etc. Staff very welcoming. Overall a really enjoyable 4 night stay and would definetly recommend and also to return. Great job - keep the good work up. Jane Sherwood
The hotel was very clean and a good breakfast . Good value for money. Very disappointed you didn`t, inform us the hotel was surrounded with scaffolding . Men were walking on scaffolding outside our room and a noisy building site opposite.
Ceiling fan effective though no air con. Good location but building work quite noisy.
Visiting Proms at RAH so looking for hotel within walking distance. Clean & comfortable but room a bit on the small side and on the 4th floor. Staff very helpful and pleasant and breakfast was included in the price. I had taken the 3 nights for price of two which seemed reasonable but I don`t know if I would have been as happy with the room if I was paying the full room rates. Would use again but only with discounted rates.
I was upgraded to a double room but it was still rather cramped and located on the `lower ground floor` which is the basement to you and me, which meant I couldn`t open the blinds. Not my favourite hotel in London and rather overpriced, but clean and convenient with friendly, helpful staff.
The room although on the top floor was quiet, clean and well presented. We would use this hotel again for our stays in London.
Great service, great location, friendly, clean, and a simple but ideal breakfast included. Many thanks.
Great value for money and very good breakfast. Very much enjoyed quality of the bread rolls and the pastries. Staff very friendly and helpful. the complimentary drink was a nice gesture. Would highly recommend, especially if, like us, you were going to a performance at the Royal Albert Hall which is a 15 minute walk.
The staff at the hotel were very welcoming, helpful and professional. The hotel room was small but had everything that we required and the bathroom was lovely. The room was hot during the night particularly and as the windows are locked it was difficult to get cool. But the hotel will be recommended to our friends overall we had a very good stay!
Comfortable rooms, well situated made for a pleasant weekend away. Building work nearby may annoy some people, but it did not marr our stay. Excellent continental breakfast. Would stay again without doubt. A fridge in room would be very welcome, although it was no problem to request an ice bucket from the very obliging staff.
Good location in nice part of town handy for Hyde Park, Earls Court, Albert Hall and museums. Clever use of photography makes rooms look bigger than they actually are but still reasonably sized. Warning however if you like your lie-ins as major renovations of adjoining apartment block start early. Overall 7/10.
hotel was comfortable and breakfast was ideal, there is major building work across the road but work doesn`t start til 8:00 am and finishes at about 5:00pm so did not hear noise when sleeping.i requested a room looking away from building site and the hotel did give us a room away from the site, so they do there best to help you when requested. the hotel is in great location for transport links to the major sights, i would stay there again if visiting london again.
Staff very friendly room was clean bed very uncomfortable (better sleeping on the floor) and room did not look anything like it fid in the photo.Breakfast was good
