Very good location. Spacious rooms. Well equipped bathrooms.

I only stayed here for one night prior to a cruise. The location is excellent just off Place Catalunya, The staff are friendly and the rooms are comfortable

Super location & excellent value for `tourist` type hotel. Our room was rather small, but adequate for needs. Staff were very friendly & helpful, even managed to source a ticket for `Barca` at short notice. Shame pool was not available in May (Pool is very small) Nice terrace. Breakfast very good. Overall we would recommend.

On arrival the reception staff did not direct us to the correct lift.We found it on the third try. We were in room112, possibly the noisiest room we have ever tried to sleep in. Motorbikes roared down the street all night. We resorted to ear plugs. The room was also in need of refurbishment, sections of wallpaper were missing and there were several worn & stained patches on the walls & carpet.The hotel was very clean,most staff were friendly and helpful.Restaurant was of high standard in spite of limited menu. Piano bar was great on Saturday. No cooked breakfasts at the weekend-they appeared on Monday. Better signage is needed at breakfast buffet, to stop tea being made with hot milk.

Barcelona`s notorious Metro pickpockets took my wallet before I arrived at the hotel togehter with passport cash, cards the lot. The staff were helpful and so were the British Consulate.

The Montblanc is a great hotel, perfect location, very clean and suited our requirements just fine. The only criticism i would have is the buffet breakfast. It was poor with very little choice. But when your with a crowd of guys who are only there for the football and the beer, who gives a monkeys.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay very much, we found our room absolutely spotless and the staff very helpful and courteous at all times. Breakfast was our favourite meal of the day, everything you would expect a continental breakfast to be! A bigger pool would be a plus however we didn`t mind walking to the beach as we were within easy walking distance to there and the city centre, would go back tomorrow!

we booked extra night and had to pay a lot extra. hotel v central but breakfast wasnt hot buiffet as stated ion website.

Hotel was very clean, food was good, staff okay could be improved with more staff - those there worked hard but were pushed at could not keep up with the demand for food.....

The hotel was very nice & clean, & breakfast was lovely. The reception staff were not that friendly though, & we were unable to use the pool on numerous occasions due to other functions at the hotel. The double room also had 2 single beds pushed together rather than a double bed!!

We would definitely return to this excellent hotel

Everything good except for traffic noise in room fronting street. No reply received following comments.

We arrived mid morning from our cruise ship and were welcomed by the front desk staff who tried to find us a quiet twin room for an early check in; answerd lots of our queries and sorted us out quickly. The room was ok for our stay, with excellent bathroom, including full bath, though airconditioning could only just cope with early September heat. Pool area was lovely, with plunge pool, seating and loungers in sun and shade and toilets. Breakfast was a beautifuly laid out spread and cooked breakfast quickly served. Tea and coffee in flasks was not the best, but ok. Overall, a great stay, with fantastic location 300 metres from Playa Catalunya. Turn right and walk 100 m for bank and two bars with tapas, Turn left and round corner towards the Playa, passing nice restaurant on left, and El Corte Anglais, department store with large supermarket in basement. cafe on top floor gives great view over square and the City.

A good all-round comfortable hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful - their aim was to please. Breakfast was continental style but if you wished a hot meal this was cooked to order - no problem at all. My only complaint was the price per night (5 euros) to hire the safety deposit box which I informed reception staff I thought rather expensive.

First time we have stayed and we will certainly be returning. Hotel was clean and bright. Staff were really helpful. Situated in a good spot. Loved it.

The hotel was really good value for money, clean quite modern and friendly staff with a great location to access all the bars and restaurants in and around las Ramblas and the Gothic quarter. Its just a real shame that a new t shirt that my fiancee had bought me for the trip was stolen from our room. I can only speculate that it was the cleaners and that they hoped after 2 days of my stag that when packing to come home i wouldnt notice. The reception staff were extremely apologetic if not very helpful but what could they do really?? They have took my details and if it turns up will post it back to me but I am not holding my breath, the trip though was superb a lovely city with a vibrant night life just wish the pound was stronger against the euro so we didnt spend as much.

The Hotel, is in an excellant location, 2mins from Catalunya Sqaure, and La Rambla.The staff are so helpful, and speak very good English, nothing is a problem for them to help you.

Central location, good public transport links nearby. Ample sized room and ensuite bathroom: clean. Pleasant & helpful staff. Good & varied breakfast choice. 2nd time we have stayed here & would stay here again.

I would reccommend this hotel to anyone we had no faults with it at all. the reception staff were so helpful and made us very welcome. Only a two minute walk to the las ramblas. I cant wait to come back.

Great position with useful paid parking. Excellent pianist in atmospheric bar. Showerhead u/s but all other facilities good. Staff helpful.

As you know I booked a room for my wife and I, plus our friends.The staff at reception were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good and the location excellent.The room was very well prepared, the bed linen and towels nice and clean, and the room nicely prepared.All four of us agreed we could not have made a better choice.We and our friends said that we will certainly recommend your company and this particular hotel to friends.We intend to return to Barcelona for a longer stay in the near future and will definitely stay at this hotel, and I`m sure will utilise the services of your company.Thanks very much for the excellent service you have provided.

we all enjoyed our stay at the montblanc the staff were vey welcomng and helpful the food was excellent and very good value for money;especially the evening meal special; a very clean and tidy hotel with a lovely atmsophere and excellent relaxing piano player in the evenings just pitched right; the only problem was that the bathrooms are extremely noisy to tne next door rooms voices can be heard very clearly and the shower sinks and water very noisy even the shower rail can be heard when pulled across But allin all a very relaxing and enjoyable stay for a city break the hotel is in a very good central position for sight seeing the old city

The staff in reception were very friendly. They solved a problem for us, got us a refund on some unused tickets and remembered my birthday! I have already recommended the hotel to other people where I work.

Doesn`t look much from the outside, and is on a very busy road. But appearances can be deceptive. The location is great - 2 minutes walk to the Cathedral, the main square, and the Ramblas. Bedroom very clean and comfortable, and bigger than average for the area. We got one at the back which is great - the front might be a bit noisy. Good food at breakfast and quite a variety - which changed subtly from day to day. Staff very pleasant and helpful, though the front desk can be a bit overworked at times. Didn`t try the restaurant on an evening - very few did.

Very friendly multilingual staff made us feel very welcome indeed. Excellent buffet breakfast to cater for all tastes. Comfortable clean rooms with good facilities. Ideally placed for exploring the city by foot, right next door to the Gothic Quarter and also well within walking distance of the seafront. Also Metro station just round the corner or starting point for Barcelona tourist buses in Playa de Catalunya 5 minutes walk. Although right in the heart of the city no noise problems either, views from window poor but thats only to be expected. No hesitation in recommending it to anyone. Excellent!!
