This hotel is not worth the money very out dated in need of a complete refit. Everything is worn or being held with duck tape, messy carpets, wobbly or broken not a good choice. I have stayed at cheaper and much better hotels.

"The breakfast inclusive was fantastic and great."

I gave it good mainly because of the breakfast and for the receptionist ....the are well trained for the job. But the rooms needs a little renovation here and there ....the seans are old and needs to be changed...otherwise great experience

"Lovely staff, good location but decor in desperate need of improvement "

The location is excellent - just a few minutes walk from the Underground and DLR stations, with lots of restaurants, bars and shops nearby. The staff were very good and friendly and the room and bed linen clean. Sadly the rooms are in desperate need of decorating and bringing up to date. Peeling wall paper, damp patches and damaged furniture. The whole hotel feels unloved and dated. Saying this I would stay again as the staff and service were good.

"The Good/Bad and Ugly"

Hotel is now situated in the middle of a building site which is no fault of the hotel. Entrance to hotel now blocked off during building work so a 15+ min walk to reach hotel. Hotel décor very tired and staff not very welcoming in satisfying customer needs. Good and friendly reception staff make up for restaurant and bar staff. Average food in the hotel restaurants and not worth the money. Location for the O2 is good plus rooms very clean but won`t be staying here again.

"Not really for families and looking a bit tired"

No child menu - Had to buy our 5 yr old a burger so big I couldn`t have eaten it. Restaurants/bars come over as if they are run by separate entities eg different drinks lists - You can`t have a drink in the bar then go to the Italian and have the same thing. Room well equipped for a small family but very tatty with wall paper rubbed away in places and peeling in others. Both plugs in the sink and bath had to be removed to let water out as the lift arm didn`t work - a bit strange to have a shower with water over your ankles. The toilet flush had to be jiggled to get it to work but at least it did! Massive delay for our breakfast almost making us miss our trip on the London Eye a whole plane load from a delayed flight came in overnight and were all sent to breakfast at the same time ... just as we appeared at the restaurant we were faced with a queue of over 100 people. Fortunately we were able to get away just in time but we were panicking - this led to a very rushed trip to town

"Spot on place to stay"

Stayed before really good position, can use both heron quays and Canary wharfs tube station 2 minute walk from either, staff friendly, always quick and easy to book in and out.

"AWFUL BREAKFAST "

Hotel reception looked amazing, reception staff were very courteous. The room we got was very big, bit dated. But very clean, and just what was required for a nights stay. Breakfast in the morning was cold, coffee was very strong (bordering awful) we went back to the room, and had one there instead. The only real thing that let this booking down was that the hotel looked a little bit tired, and the breakfast, wasn`t worth £13.50 if you had to pay for it.

Great Area, Five minutes from Tube Station. Hotel room very nice, but could do with updating some off there chairs in Dining round, Breakfast good choices. would recommend and go back to Hotel.

"Excellent if you come into London in a car."

Easy if not cheap parking. The DLR was a bit squeaky going around the bend but okay after midnight. Really enjoyed the breakfast Staff very helpful and pleasant. As most big hotels the ambience on the ground floor was a bit impersonal, but otherwise could not fault it. Really enjoyed our stay.

"Restaurant "

I was very disappointed with the service in the restaurant,especially breakfast. Breakfast was very disorganised. The staff very unhelpful. I asked on numerous occasions for a table to be cleared but ignored on two occasions. I asked for tea and was told that I could only have coffee. I told the waitress that I didn`t drink tea were by with a disgruntled attitudes took a tea pot from a table that the previous guests had left on the table. I said I was unwilling to take it from a table that had been used from someone else. With much disgust I received my tea. I feel the staff are not happy at all and do not make the experience in the restaurant a happy one.

"Nice hotel but rude staff."

This hotel was presented well and we were happy with our room though there was a problem with leaking water in our bathroom which stopped us having showers. An Indian male staff member in the breakfast area was exceptionally helpful and cheerful but the other staff were unfriendly and dismissive when we asked for help. We requested some more milk and coffee one evening as they had not been replaced when our room was cleaned. The staff male member who delivered them to our door was very rude and made it really clear we had put him out and told us it was down to us for putting the no disturb sign on our door which meant we had no coffee and milk. In fact he wouldn`t listen to our explanation that our room had been cleaned and we had only just put that sign on the door so we would not be disturbed before we woke the next morning. His rude and brusque manner was totally unnecessary.

hotel and facilities were fine however the noise from the DLR did interrupt sleep. Maybe a double glazing would cut out the noise on that side of the hotel

The hotel was easy to find and in a very convenient location for tubes, shops, restaurants, bars and the docklands museum. The breakfast was constantly refreshed and of a good standard. We were upgraded to a larger room, which was greatly appreciated and made our anniversary weekend a real treat. The view from the hotel was great. Plenty of building work happening around the hotel but there was no significant noise from the works over the weekend. The staff were polite and helpful and I would like to say a special thank you to the cleaning staff.
