Helpful and accommodating in every way.
We had a one night stay. Fantastic. Breakfast was lovely. Will go back
Terrace Room Suite far too warm and stuffy. Also, you are not able to open any windows.
Thank you for a wonderful stay in your hotel in December. It was cold outside but nothing but warm and welcoming inside. Thanks again I will be recommending you to all I know.
We were made very welcome by all of the staff, the service was fantastic the accommodation a delight and the breakfast to die for.Not to mention the bar that has a good stock of fine wine and Scotch and they make a mean cocktail. We will definitely go back and stay again.
A great hotel in a surprisingly peaceful location in the centre of the New Town. Lovely, spacious room, quick, friendly and efficient service, and what has to be the largest bath I`ve ever had the pleasure of encountering. It`s not the cheapest hotel in Edinburgh but it`s worth it.
Absolutely fantastic hotel, made our trip to Edinburgh extra special. Everything from the hotel itself to the friendly staff was faultless
From the outset, we were made to feel comfortable and welcome. The dinner was beautiful! From a cream cheese filled cherry tomato amuse bouche before our starter of crab cakes. Fillet steak, seasoned and cooked to perfection, followed by opera gateau and coffee. The staff are amazing and nothing is too much bother. Afternoon tea on another day was lovely too and it was an invitation to afternoon tea at the Howard, on a previous trip to Edinburgh, which prompted us to book a short break at the Howard in the first place. I look forward to another visit in the not too distant future. Hang on to your Staff, they are your greatest asset.
Comfortable and refined, there are not many boutique hotels of this quality. The food was excellent and the service compared very favourably with any hotel, anywhere, at any price. True butler service, large and comfortable rooms (we had two) and remarkably affordable. What more could you ask for?
Excellent hotel great breakfast with haggis! close all attractions and shops. Would recommonde to friends and would return in the future. Also great cuury house a few minutes walk away. Just one very small issue the rooms are very warm at night..
Best scrambled egg and salmon for breakfast we have ever had! Will definitely use this hotel again.
Dragged case in unaided. Not a good start for an hotel that makes butler service one if its main attractions!! We ordered sandwiches which were delicious and served by charming Dyrern! Lounge is too small if centre seating occupied and you have friends join you for a drink there is nowhere to sit together had to move to dining room!! We would return for B& B but request larger room .The rate was very attractive The location good nice walk to George Street!
The quality of service and food is second to none, the likes of which I have not experienced for many years. A hotel of this size in the city centre offering off-road parking is very rare and much appreciated. My stay was short but very pleasant and having both a bed room and sitting room for the price was excellent. Very best wishes for a successful future. PC
Enjoyed our stay at the Howard, staff very friendly and helpful.Would go back there without hestitationbreakfast lovely
Could not fault service, comfort, or efficiency.
A beautiful hotel, lovely rooms, excellent service with lots of character. The staff were very attentive and could not have been more helpful
There was a wedding on at the hotel when we stayed, whist I respect that this was someone elses special day there was a definate lack of service for the other guests staying. You should never neglect the other paying customers because these are more likely to repeat visitors. I shouldnt have to go to reception to ask for my room to be made up at 1.30 in the afternoon!!.There is no bar at the hotel so each time you would like a drink you have to ring or ask, this is no good if someone does not answer the reception desk phone.I dont like to moan but we were celebrating a special occasion too, would I rate it a five star, no but a good four star hotel.
Superlative rooms, attentive service, great breakfast and a car prk
