Looked at a lot of hotels and decided on The Stafford. Great experience re the hotel, hotel standards and the staff. OK one person working in the bar late evening (French accent) did not portray same level of courtesy afforded by ALL the staff we interacted with, Breakfast was great, room was warm and comfortable with high class of linens and towels etc. We were personally shown the hotel facilities at check in (nice touch). We WILL return. G&M
One of my favourite London hotels. Very quiet location with no traffic noise. Nothing bad to say other than the difficulty in making the key card work for room 3.
Nice room and facilities. Great service form ALL the staff and nothing too much trouble. The American Bar is the perfect place for meeting after a hard day, good quick food and excellent staff again. The ambiance is unbeatable and there is NO stupid musak anywhere. The main Restaurant is exceptional and the delicacy of the Chef`s cooking is unsurpassed for me and the afternoon tea is as good as it gets.I have just one criticism - they use wide coffee cups for tea - this is a no no as the tea gets prematurely cold. I mean they use proper tea leaves( none of your tea bag rubbish) and then a coffee cup? Come on guys - you can do better then this!Highly recommended and a home from home when in town.
We were making our 4th visit to this excellent hotel staying for 4 nights this time. When we checked in we were given a very small room (308). While this would have worked for a single guest it was way too small for a couple. I asked to move rooms and was told the hotel was full until our last night. I persisted and thanks to very client friendly duty managers Ghazala and Edward we got a larger room for our second and subsequent nights.
The hotel was beautiful and in a lovely quiet road, on arrival offered a complimentary tea but never arrived and after seeing the show went to the hotel bar and had to wait 20 minutes to be served. Nice but expensive for what you get. Go to another hotel next time.
My wife and I spent 5 nights at this hotel and very much enjoyed our stay. Here was all the elegance of a top class hotel with the stuffiness you often find in similar hotels in London. The staff all seem to be a very happy team and this comes across in their dealings with guests. It was a real pleasure staying here.
First time at this hotel and there were some good and bad points. When we arrived we were told we had been upgraded to the Red Rum room, which was very comfortable. Never been in a hotel that doesnt give complimentary tea/coffee in room so a negative for us. Alot of noise from slamming of the room stable doors during the night! But the staff and breakfast was lovely.
Worth it`s 5 star status - room was not very large but cosy, comfortable and well decorated with nice touches such as dressing gown & slippers. Everywhere was decorated with character. The only thing we didn`t like was that whilst all the staff seemed very professional we came across some who seemed cold, no smiles or taking part in conversation, However to balance that others were much more friendly, especially at breakfast which made the stay more relaxing. There was a slight humming noise at night and we couldn`t find out how to stop it, so it`s worth asking the hotel if you find that too, but the bed was comfortable and overall a very quiet night. The hotel is very convenient as it`s within walking distance to everything but in a quiet area. The American bar is worth a visit. Glad I chose this for a special occasion as it is has character and felt special.
Lovely friendly hotel and staff. Ideally situated for shopping &sightseeing. Luxurious pampering..Will return.
one Problem , seating and serving of Breakfast was NOT well organised , needs a bit of Managing.
What a lovely hotel tucked away in the centre of Mayfair, so quite and intimate. The staff were so helpful and attentive and gave first class customer service. We shall certainly be back.
Small room, although everything was there. Heating/air con wasn`t working in the room. On one breakfast occasion service was extremely slow. However those were the only negatives (although there shouldn`t have been any for the price/standard); otherwise an agreeable stay.
During our stay we had some problems with the bathroom water supply which on several occasions stopped working whilst in use.
We chose the Stafford Kempinski Hotel for our stay in London as is looked like it was a warm and `homely` 5* hotel. What a good choice!! This hotel is situated in the heart of St James`s in Central London and is off the beaten track (just a short walk from Green Park tube station). The staff provide an excellent level of service and the decor inside is very `homely`, not traditional English as in some other 5* hotels, modern yet comfortable. We will definitely stay here again. Wonderful Hotel.
Excellent is all I can say! Staff amazing and service brilliant. Lovely rooms with comfortable seating - we even had a fireplace with electric log fire - very homely!
Fabulous staff!
The staff were just fantastic, they remember who you are and what you like. Little touches make the trip and stay all worthwhile. American bar is great for a night cap. Location near Green Park is great for a nice walk or to go out at night with bars and restaurants at your doorstep.
