We had a great stay at the Ashling Hotel, the room was very comfortable infact we couldnot fault the hotel at all and the staff were very friendly and helpful. we would definitely stay again, infact I am going to enquire for availability for August.
We will be back. The location is fab.The Luas is practically outside the front door. Parking is very convenient at the hotel. The rooms clean & comfortable. There are 3 lifts, which is great as you don`t have to wait for ages to get to your room like in other hotels. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. I would definitely recommend the Ashling Hotel.
We enjoyed our stay the only negative was the water was cold at 4.30am so we could not have a shower as we had a taxi at 5am take us back to the airport for the UK to go to work (Monday 9 MAY).
Evening food took some time to arrive on 1st night. Breakfast is excellent with much choice. Convenient location near train station and zoo.
staff are well trained and exceptionally pleasant. customer service excellent especially reception staff
would like to have had a fridge in the roomwe don`t like UHT
Hotel is better than the impression the photos give. Staff very friendly. Superior room well equipped and maintained (cleaned daily to a very high standard) with views out towards the guinness factory. Strongly recommend the restaurant for breakfast at least although a 2nd mortgage might be required for the bar. 2 drinks came to ?17! Would definitely come back again.
Very nice hotel, our room was basic but clean and good for the price. We ordered room service which was accidently forgotton and the staff very quickly sorted us with our order and made it complimentary to compensate for the wait. Which I thought was a very fair way in which to deal with the situation. On arrival the meals were very appetising.
everything about the hotel was excellent from staff, cleanliness and food. Having the Luas just 2 minutes walk from hotel was an added bonus. Will definately visit again.
No complaints, we had a great stay. Staff were efficient and friendly and rectified a small problem immediately. The hotel is easily accessible to the City Centre, either by foot (approx 1.5 miles) or via a regular tram service. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We would definetely stay there again.
Very good price. Great situation for catching train after coming from airport. Also, really close to town. Had a non-smoking quiet room, didn`t use bar restaurant as only overnight between transport. Was pleased with room and price.
We have visited the Ashling Hotel for many years and love the new image.Very impressed will call again when economic climate changes over there
I stayed at the Ashling Hotel during a busy December weekend. The hotel is located very near the Heuston Station and only 3 stops on the Luas from O`Connell Street. The staff at the hotel was helpful, my request for a double bed instead of two singles was met and I actually got a large, family room instead of the standard double/twin. The only two remarks I have is that the breakfast was quite expensive: ?14 for a coffee, croissant and a bowl of weetabix and the bathroom in the room was a bit tatty. Overall we had a good experience I would stay at the hotel again.
Everything was very good, we had a very enjoyable stay; even when our car would not start when we were leaving; my wife went to the front desk and was given an assurance that a member of staff would jump start the battery, very accessible by the tram system.
Would happily stay again
Excellent room and food in convenient location for city centre. Tram right outside front door to centre of city and handy for all attractions. Staff friendly and helpful. Car parking in garage also very useful
This is my third stay at the Ashling. The hotel facilities including helpful professional staff, food, cleanliness of bedding and rooms all excellent. I have a special dietary requirement which is no problem to them. The location is on good public transport routes, including the Airport bus which stops opposite the hotel within 30 minutes of leaving the airport.. The City Centre is also within walking distance if one prefers to walk. There are lots of local bars, pubs offering good food around the hotel vicinity.I would not wish to stay anywhere else if I go again - it ticks all the boxes ! Well done to all at the ASHLING !!
highly recommended! great service from arriving till leaving!
The hotel was lovely inside. Our room had everything we needed and was very spacious. The staff were lovely and very helpful. We will definately be back :)
excellent
Really enjoyed my overnight stay, wished my stay had been longer. Friendly staff, comfortable accommodation and great food. Would definately stay there again.
A nice hotel, in a convenient location.
Room was basic but the bed was comfortable
Would highly reccommend this hotel, perfect location to explore Dublin city.
We found the Ashling excellent, staff friendly and helpful, large clean modern rooms,( view not that great though), it was a quiet and perfect place to stay away from the lively town but with easy travel by tram, 5 min walk from hotel for tram stop. Didn`t eat in restaurant except breakfast which was a little expensive but very good. Not much happening in evenings but they have a perfect bar for a quiet drink after being in town.Would stay again if we went to Dublin for another weekend.
One of the best hotels in Dublin, even better if you can get a river Liffey outlook room.
Found Hotel very good, 20 mins walk to City centre,Tram stop 150 yards from Hotel and Bus stop and Train Station just 150 yards from Hotel.Upgraded room to Superior Luxury room for very little extra cost and found same to be excellent value. Food was very good especially breakfast, and last but not least found Staff very helpful and good humored especially Cara at front desk.
A 15 min walk into the town, but 5minute tram journey
The hotel itself scored highly in my opinion except for the food smell which was constantly in my 1st floor room after consutation with front desk staff saying it would be checked out (Maybe it was but was still there the whole weekend)
Bar staff need to have knowledge training regarding types of drinks, and customer service in this area leaves a lot to be desired.
Enjoyed our stay and found the hotel ideal for access to Dublin centre by tram. It was quiet and very comfortable.
Outstanding hotel where staff were thoughtful, considerate, helpful and friendly. We came for the rugby but will be back to visit Dublin again and will DEFINATELY stay at the AShling. Thank you for making our visit so special.
