Bar Staff not very friendly. Resident Bar tiny with no entertainment. Fee of ?3.00 to leave luggage a bit much when most hotels are free.
Diceys Bar was the place to be, offers on each night made it a good value stay. We reserved a table and was given complamentry finger food.Would deffently stay again .
came to dublin to see westlife hotel was amazing staff were so helpful n friendly rooms were lovely clean n tidy if back n city would be first place to stay allison n girls from scotland
We enjoyed our stay in the hotel, it was our first stay in dublin and the hotel was situated just outside the city centre which was a nice distance, the staff were friendly and the breakfast was superb. The hotel could be noisy when the nightclub was on but the music was kept at a reasonable level. I would definitely stay here again!
Nightclub downstairs and noisy road meant I didn`t get to sleep until 3am. Even wearing earplugs!
The only observation or recommendation was that the music played at breakfast time seemed a little inappropriate.
My daughter her friend and I stayed in this Hotel for 3 nights. It was great. The staff, food and the nightlife. Within easy walking distance to the shops and Temple Bar Area. We had a triple room too so it was a lot easier for us. The only downside was that the shower sometimes was cold and hot water sometimes came out of the cold tap but apart from the that BRILL!!!!
For the record, many of us thought your website was extremely misleading. It stated that booking through you would secure a substantial discount and would include full Irish breakfast in the cost. In the event it did neither: those who booked with the Russell Court direct paid exactly the same as those who booked through you - but had full Irish breakfast included in the price, whereas those couples who booked with you had to pay a ?20 supplement for Irish breakfast. Needless to say, there was a good deal of bad feeling about this, with everyone saying they would never go via an intermediary like you againm, but would always book direct with the hotel. So all in all, the poor quality of the hotel was exacerbated by your misrepresentation and shoddy customer service. I wonder, do the Advertising Standards Authority know of your practices?
Really noisy and very hot. No air con
The Hotel is in excellent location for nightlife. This is the noisiest hotel i have ever stayed at and would highly recommend it for the under 30`s. Downstairs has been refurbished but the upstairs bedrooms are now very tired and dated but clean. Plumbing system certainly needs attention. The staff were all very helpful and pleasant but there were very few dubliners working there!! The place was jammed packed at night which is great for the young ones. Bit chaotic trying to get back into hotel when you are a resident because of the queues outside. Would highly recommend this hotel for anyone who wants to party all night!!! Very expensive in dublin generally but certainly dont expect to get any sleep at this hotel until at least 5.00am.
location is great and the staff was both helpful and friendly! a great place to stay to experience the best of Dublin
Lovely hotel, clean and great rooms but has a very popular nightclub underneath and all outside round the back of the hotel!! ear plugs where a complimentary gift left with the shampoos and shower gels for when we arrived !!!!!!
The Russell Court was the best hotel was the best we have ever stayed in yes it could be very noisy at night but the hotel god bless them supplied ear plugs for all thier guests. We found the people of Dublin to be warmest and freindliest we have met any where on our travels . We will be visiting again.
Which is great if you want to stay up drinking until 3:30am, but don`t stay if you really need a good nights sleep. In fairness they do provide earplugs...The rooms are lovely, fantastic 4 poster bed, green leather chairs, antique furniture.
The hotel is in a good location and the facilities were very nice but it was spoilt by the noise. There were three parties going on downstairs in the nightclub on Saturday evening. It was very loud and no-one could get any sleep until at least 4pm in the morning. NOT GOOD for us who were only there for the weekend! We did complain but nothing was done about it! I won`t be returning and would definitely not recommend it to other friends.
however, it is a very noisey place so light sleepers stay clear. there is a very loud club near and when the people spill out into the streets it WILL wake you. Also the shower in our room was awful, it had a mind of its own. However, over all we were very happy with our stay, the rooms are truely lovely, the food reasonable, very close to the centre and easy to find.
Very modern and clean rooms. Outstanding outside bar and niteclub. Very close to restaurants and the Temple Bar area. Can get noisy in the rooms from music from the niteclub so not for those wanting an early night. Ear plugs are supplied by the hotel in the rooms so this should give some idea of the noise, Party animals will love it.
We had a very enjoyable stay - the rooms were clean and the staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfasts were very good. The music was loud at night but we were expecting this and it did not bother us unduly. We would use this hotel again.
Very close to oconnell street only 5 mins walk to get to all of the shops and main attractions. The hotel can be noisy as there is a night club inderneath, however this noise was bearable. We found that for the cost of the room and location this was more than worth putting up with. Also the Krstal night club underneath is great of thats what your interested in.Only bad point that was the tv lost reception and after assking twice no one came to look at it. But they are all very busy at russell court and they did have important functions going on. i guess mytv request was very small in the scheme of things. overall stay though good and would definatley stay at russell court again.
Everything was perfect, booking in took minutes. The room was lovely with high ceilings and room colour. Can be quite noisy at night with the night clubs below the hotel, but they supply ear plugs. Beer garden really nice, and of course perfect for smokers. Breakfast brilliant, room service only 3 euros per room.
The only issue I had was that we were on the first floor and due to the nightclub we had sleepless nights on the friday & saturday as the music was extremely loud!
Great for lively break in Dublin - good location, good bar, nice big room. Not good if you are looking for a quiet break and dont drink.
Great service, lovely characteristic room. Loved the `Diceys` the garden bar, lively but relaxed and so well thought out. Well placed for the city centre and therefore a little noisy at times but we had a super time and are planning our next trip back to Dublin. Ee will definately be back at the Russell Court Hotel!
The hotel is lovely, clean and the staff were more than helpful. I was not aware when I booked it that it also had a nightclub and the noise went on until the very early hours of the morning, The hotel did supply free earplugs but they did not help much and I have a hearing difficulty but still heard the party goers going............... that is my only complaint, the breakfast was substantial and very well cooked, service was very good and the staff more than helpful, if it wasn`t for the noise I would go back again.
we were upgraded at the last minute to the cottage,, and when we got to the hotel we were taken into what can only be described as the back yard! we were told if we needed to get back into the hotel grounds then we should ring reception, only to find our phone wasnt working. then we sat out in our own smoking garden but when one of our party used the toilet those of us who were sat outside were faced with raw sewage coming up through the drain. we had to use our own phones and write our own drink orders because the staff struggled communicating!
thought hotel was clean and tidy, comfy bed, good staff, recommend to anyone who likes it lively
We enjoyed our 2 day stay and would certainly use the hotel again, it is geared at young people and their were lots of groups staying over the weekend we were there, stag and hen parties etc. This is ok if you are looking for a lively venue as the nightclub is good but open to the early hours on Saturday evenings and closing at 1am on a sunday evening.
we had a great stay in this warm and friendly hotel our room was realy nice specialy the bed so comfterble, only drawback was the room should have been double glazed adding warmth to the room.would return
hotel from inside and out excellentexcellent location just the right distance to walk to all dublins touristy bitsroom was small but very clean slightly worried we got ear plugs free in the room !!! but we didnt need themthe breakfast was awful ... looke dlike it had beed on the plate warming for ages one of the only minuses.on the whole the stay was good exactly what we wanted form our mini break to dublin
One draw back is the size of the overly small lift, in which it is impossible to have two persons plus cases. Another would be the noise from taxis, collecting nightclubers at 4.00 a.m. in the morning. The taxis made more noise than the 200 - 300 people waiting in the street did. Other than this we really enjoyed our weekend stay at the Russel Court in Harcourt Street, Dublin. With such a friendly atmosphere we hardly noticed the rain.
