Smiling reception staff - very helpful and obliging. Room fresh and clean. Very quiet at night as the Hotel`s frontage is onto a small narrow side street. Good breakfast.
Room a little small but otherwise an enjoyable stay
We stayed just one night after going to the Theatre. Excellent location, right by a number of theatres so perfect for a show stay. Reception staff very friendly and professional. Our room was great and despite being virtually in the centre of Leicester Square we had a very quiet and peaceful night. Will certainly stay here again.
Average hotel - located in too much of a tourist area but that is only my opinion. Would not stay again
Automatic upgrade on arrival. Great location with excellent accommodating staff. Very pleasant stay.
Overall a really nice hotel. Small rooms but clean and well furnished. Very friendly and helpfull staff!
Brilliant Location for sightseeing! hotel basic but clean! Not a 4 star by my standards but location alone is well worth it! Within walking distance of everything! Will stay again!
This hotel was near many London hot spots. Less than a 5 minute walk to Leicester square, trafalgar square, Covent garden and tube stations. On arrival they could not find our booking but it was a receptionist error. Bed was very firm and we were woken at 8 by the cleaner even though we were checking out that day. I guess we should have put up the do not disturb sign. For the money we paid, I feel breakfast should have been included.
On the booking I was asked if I wanted a smoking room. The prin-out from your site showed that I had booked a smoking room. On arrival, the room we were given was a non-smoking room. Very disappointing!
Small room for the price, but well appointed and clean. Food in the restuarant is good, breakfast overpriced though. Very very very good location!!!!!! Ideal for theatres, leicetsre square, National Gallery, embankment, shopping.... everything.
Have used this hotel before and it is a perfect area. The room this time was a little dissapointing, a few small problems, there was a lot of damp in the room we were staying in, the bed had not been made too well, and one of the drawers was broken, but it was comfortable, and the breakfast was lovely. The staff were friendly, and helpful, and we would use this hotel again.
The thing that let it down for me was the carpet in my room was stained and therefore could have done with replacing. Ideal location and would use again.
bedrooms v ery comfortable, loved the large double beds.
Friendly staff, excellent food, comfortable, and best of all a very short stroll to the theatre. Next door to the National Gallery, the hotel is in a quiet backwater yet only a stone`s throw from Trafalgar and Leicester Squares. An ideal place to stay for the Theatre Royal and Her Majesty`s Theatre.
Room very cold and miserable.
Regret we had to cancel hotel as we had fog in Jersey. Will try it another timeAnn Chamier
Excellent location but room a tad small
So used to turning on hotel TVs only via the remote, guests may need alerting to use of buttons on side of tv to turn it on. Full breakfast was good - plenty of choice.
Upon arrival we were greeted with a big smile and made to feel very welcome. As we were early we were able to leave our cases until we returned. When we did return we discovered that we had been upgraded to a deluxe room, huge bed though quite small en-suite .The room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. I guess that London prices are somewhat inflated but £32 for two breakfasts was a little excesive, it was very tasty all the same and we ate enough to keep us going till tea time. so all in all a good hotel ,will be staying there again.
The room was comfortable and clean. However, the carpet was threadbare in places and could have done with a carpet gripper near the bathroom door. The bathroom was a little dated but was clean. My main issue was with my neighbours who on the first night kept me awake until after 11pm and on the second night had obviously been out and came in shouting at 4am! I wasn`t very happy!
staff where very friendly and helpful nothing seemed too much
Nothing wrong with the hotel, the location is perfect, just off leicester square, but down a dark street with the odd vagrant sleeping nearby. Room ok, a couple of double beds pushed together to simulate a huge bed, but with an obvious gap between. Room quite small, and tv with very few channels. Not sure I`d stay here again.
The room was immaculately clean, with facilities more than acceptable. Bed comfortable and furniture of good quality Staff polite and attentive. Would gladly use Trafalgar again.
You can ASK for a discount voucher at reception ( not offered ) when staying at the hotel £5
Sadly, due to fog in Jersey, we were delayed, and were not able to use our booking. I am in the process of tyrying to recover our costs, but will get in touch if we want to rebook in February.Thank you
Clean and comfortable with very friendly and welcoming staff - food was good too
Having only spent night one here, the room was adequate for our purposes. The staff was very good and communicative.
Hotel was ok...beds were the hardest things I have ever slept on..had no sleep...waste of £115
Convenient & very nice room however:The room was cold on our arrivalThe dinner served did not match the menu, the leek & potato soup was pumpkin & the side salad included on the menu was not served.Breakfast on Sunday morning was a shambles. They ran out of many items, the "hot" food was barely warm & quests requests for toast & coffee were just ignored. Tables were not cleared during the meal. Those who complained were told the shortcomings were due to a lack of staff and the fact that too many guests had turned up for breakfast! The hotel has the potential to be really good they just need to get their operational act together.
I have rated the hotel good only because of its location. It is very central. Rooms very small. Customer service disappointing.
