Staff were all helpful and very friendly. We received a complimentary upgrade & so enjoyed a superb executive room (you could get lost in the bed!) The Glenn Miller Bar is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy a drink (& the memorabilia). We very much enjoyed our meal in the hotel restaurant and felt it was value for money. Only possible criticism is the slightly manic scenario that faces you if you opt for breakfast - big queue to get seated and we felt very crushed & slightly under pressure to eat up and vacate to allow the next poor souls in the queue to sit down.
We feel the bar staff should be prepared to put themselves out a little but apart from that this is a very good hotel. Porters and reception staff were exellent and the rooms very clean.
Very clean rooms. Breakfast was second to none. Staff were friendly. Would definitely stay there again
Location in west end is excellent; excellent clean rooms, but small; good wifi, but didn`t like having to pay extra for it relative to the cost of the rooms; good breakfast, but should have also been included with the room cost.
Room of a good size and very clean. Staff polite and helpful.
Although the hotel appears to be very large and impersonal it is very well run - staff courteous and well trained and our room (although needing a little updating) was comfortable and a good size with three proper beds rather than a double and a z-bed which you often get in a family room. Perfect location for shops, restaurants, tube and theatres. We will definitely use again and recommend to friends.
Would recommend to friends and family, very attentive to our needs.
My husband was running the London Marathon we were allocated a very spacious room on a quiet floor and offered facilities for him to shower before travelling home would most definitely stay there again
The Hotel is in an absolutely excellant location, we were able to walk to the theatre and obvioulsy Oxford Street was on our doorstep with all it`s fabulous shops. Breakfast was very disapointing, we joined the queue at around 9.45 and eventually we were asked to follow a member of staff to a conference room where we were able to get breakfast. The staff in this room obviously weren`t expecting us so if was all very disorganised.
great stay and excellent breakfast. The location was great for us and we will stay there again if we get back to London.
The hotel was spotless; the service excellent, newspapers etc, attention to detail was very good. Particularly liked the king size bed and the art decor feel.We didn`t need a taxi for the shows etc, would definately revisit
It is exactly what it says it is - a good central hotel with pleasant and helpful staff
offered upgrade for £20. room clean, would have liked more t bags and perhaps a bottle of water each. Hairdryer was useless. staff very courteous and helpful
Staff very friendly did have a problem getting through on phone a few days before arrived-took 4 attempts to request ballons in room for my daughters birthday. The hotel room was a great size(family room) ,a little shabby but clean.Overall it was fit for purpose but not for longer than a couple of nights and if i`m honest i wouldn`t stay again.
Warm and professional welcome and early check-in which allowed us to leave a bag and settle before heading for a full day out in London. Older hotel means the room was really spacious. We had a family room for teenager and the bed was comfortable and materialised while we were out. Huge and comfortable bed for us. Room showing slight signs of wear and tear, but nothing bad and the everything was very clean. Slight confusion over breakfast booking, but quickly resolved. Breakfast offered everything you could want, from full English to fresh fruit, yoghurt and all the usual juices, cereal etc. A really great breakfast.Based just behind Oxford Street/Marble Arch, this hotel is a great base from which to enjoy the West End. I thought it was comfortable, good value and would definitely stay here again.
When we got to our floor there was a LOT of building work and refurbishment going on, and had to walk through the dusty corridors to reach our room. Location was good for us but the hotel could have been better if we were given a different floor.
Originally put in a smoking room, when I had requested a non-smoking room. Couldnt have been more helpful and upgraded to an Executive Room for our trouble. Lovely clean spacious room. Didn`t have breakfast got a 2 for £10 deal at Garfunkels just further down in Oxford Street
Excellent location for shopping, room was very clean, dinner was delicious and the buffet breakfast was very good with lots of choice. Did ask for some more milk for our room which we didn`t receive but overall was good and will definately stay there again.
As we had upgraded we were very pleased with everything I think we would have found the standard room fairly basic.
The room was not big a proper family room as advertised on their website, they had squeezed a single bed between the foot of the double bed and the sofa, which in its self was a little chatty. The bathroom needed a little sprucing up as well. The breakfast was nice although i would idvise getting in early due to que after 10am.Overall im sure there are cheeper and cleaner hotels for the money.
Hotel very central. Room clean, tidy and quiet but decoration a bit tired. We did get a complimentary upgrade so had a nice big room. We bought a pint of milk to make extra coffee in our room but most of the carton was pinched whilst we were out of the room!!! Not very good.
Will use again. Great value
Having stayed here before we were looking forward to returning to the hotel, unfortunately on this visit we were placed on the 8th floor. This floor is no where near the standard of decoration of the lower floors. The room was clean and tidy bur very dated and quite small. We would have much prefered a lower floor. The staff were very helpful when our room key did not work and sorted the problem very quickly .
Could not have been happier with this hotel. It was a last minute booking and a bargin with the deal we had. We also received a free upgrade to a deluxe room which was fantastic. The rooms have everything you want and an ideal place to rest from the hustle and bustle. Only slight problem I`d say that it`s not near a main tube station but that`s the only slight thing. Excellent!!
With my companion in a wheelchair and myself suddenly forced onto crutches what was starting to look like a disaster weekend was turned around by the staff at the Thistle Marble Arch espcially the staff at breakfast. The restaurant was heaving but they looked after us admirably. Thank you.
Good, clean and what I would expect from a hotel. Those people giving out about the Arabs would want to relax their racist views. The only grudge I had was the bar closing so early??? Whats a man got to do to have a pint at 11 o` clock in this town?!
Due to the cancelled flights because of the blizzard that day we were upgraded to an executive suite.... a stay to remember!!!
Staff were very helpful, the rooms clean and welcoming, breakfast was yummy, would definitely stay again...
