A very good location.Room was a bit small but clean.Seems to cater for a lot of people but all ran smoothly.Long time waiting for lifts at times.Nearest tube station just around corner.Special mention to Onur for his customer service.
Hotel rooms had a group of 9 guests for a hen weekend. Corgiege excellent service getting us taxi to go to our venue. Hotel rooms very simple but clean however single room smelt damp. Waited ages for lifts and stairs badly signposted especially and stairs I felt were unsafe especially with cases or bags. Hotel rooms could do with a revamp as a little worn compared to rest of the hotel.
Room was snug but clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Food very good. Enjoyed our stay. Thanks.
We have stayed her before and was not disappointed. We took advantage of the 2 course pre-theatre meal at a very reasonable cost in the hotel and the went to the excellent new `9 to 5` Musical, 2 stops away from Tottenham court tube station almost next door. What more can you ask from a 3 star hotel in London, we will be back soon
single room very small for a big chap but otyherwise ok
We have stayed at St Giles several times as we like the central location. We were allocated room 572 in the East wing. No complaint about the room - very clean and had a decent view over London. The plumbing, ie. toilet flush, was very noisy. Unfortunely I was awakened a few times during the night because of this and I was there for three nights!
Room quite small, but the bed was hopeless! Not even a double -we felt like we were going to fall off! Made for two very restless nights, and the consequential tiredness in the day.Hotel fine in other aspects ,but be aware of small beds!!
We really enjoyed our stay at St Giles we made use of the leisure facilities next door the room was clean warm and comfortable the buffet breakfast offered a great choice sadly the sausages were inedible
The bar area and reception area very nice, but room was awful, so dingy and dated. It`s I a great position in Tottenham Court Road, but that`s the only thing going for it
hotel was nice room 952 had the noise off the lift going up and down all night apart from that it was fine.
Quite impressed with the hotel, staff, and food. Had a slight problem with the shower, which couldn`t be fixed so we were able to move rooms. I think this could have been solved earlier but as we were only there for two nights it was not a huge problem.
Room was small, wouldn`t want to spend more than one night. The main problem was that it was awfully noisy . I don`t know if our room was above some sort of machinery but it hummed and wirrred constantly. Very hard to sleep. Could not open the window as the noise was louder if we did.
very small room but adequate for a night stay. breakfast was good
Room a reasonable size and clean. However the blinds don`t completely cover the windows and a lot of light was let in, almost enough to read to. Also being on the second floor meant the street noise could be heard. Cooked breakfast was okay, it would have been to have had a choice of fresh fruit the fruit salad was incredibly limited and although jam was available I would expect to see honey as well. Whilst serving cheese and ham the ham was processed and no crusty rolls to go with, just croissants! Also on arrival the lady a reception wasn`t interested, she made no eye-contact and not smile. However the rest of the staff were pleasant and helpful.
Just a stones throw from Tottenham Court Road underground station and enjoying the benefit of a very large and well equipped gym and swimming pool next door to which there is direct access. The staff were all efficient and courteous, our room very clean and breakfast was excellent. I would happily stay there again.
We have been at St. Giles two times and every time we have enjoyed the hotel, it`s service, staff and being in the middle of everything we need to experience in London. We will certainly recommend St. Giles anywhere, everywhere.
Clean good breakfast friendly staff comfortable bed everything you need.
Hotel is in a great area for seeing London`s Covent Garden and theatreland. Right beside Tottenham Coirt underground £2.40 journey travelling from Paddington, changed at Oxford Circus. 5 minute walk to hotel. Staff and check into hotel great. Classic double rooms aweful. So small that you cannot pass oneand ankthe inthe room, must be sold to single people. Carpets absolutely filthy, bathroom tiny. Had to be moved on first night as we had a continuous very loud whirring noise in room 126 moved to 413 on TCR facing a bust noisy road. Horrendous. Staff helpful but hotel full as I was awilling to pay an upgrade to a KS room, none available. Very disappointing.
We had a 2 night stay and unfortunately, had a very bad experience at breakfast, caused by one of the staff. Luckily this was addressed and resolved, quickly and to our satisfaction by Melania, the mangeress. Otherwise we had a lovely time and would still recommend the hotel
We stayed at the st Giles for 2nights and would recommend this hotel to all our friends everyone were so helpful and always smiling the location is brilliant as you are right in the heart off London .for shopping and seeing a show
Clean, comfortable, good value & perfect possition
Excellent service. Comfortable beds. Good food.
Fab
second visit and when next in London will stay there again
Dirty and needs redecorating. Shower and sinks were blocked when we used them. Didn`t enjoy the hotel at all.
Convenient location and room was very comfortable. Did not hear any traffic noise or any noise from other rooms. Really good breakfast and helpful staff. I would stay their again.
Very disappointed,,,Felt we were put in staff quarters..Linen trolley and hoover left outside our room all night .In sufficent tea coffee sugar and milk.Room cold due to broken window...Evening reataurant staff rude and unhelpfull,No vinegar to go with our fish and chips ..Generally a very unpleasant experience .
Looks much better than it actually is. Poor attention to detail such as phone ports and enough sockets. Shower no great.
Arrived at hotel to be informed that the room was not ready,so either sit and wait or go for a walk, also only one large towel to last two people a day, and finally not enough milk to last a day.
Staff, room and breakfast all of a good standard, would use again.
When we arrived we were told our room wasn`t ready which was ok because we were a bit early. We were also told our room had been upgraded because the original room we had been allocated was very small. When we went back to reception later we were given room 186.On entering this room our first reaction was how small it was & if this is an upgrade then we would hate to think what our original room would have been like. There was a cold draft blowing from the window & I found an open vent at the top of the window. The shower was poor with a very strong jet of water like a jet wash hitting you.The shower control was so difficult to turn that any infirm or disabled person would never been able to operate it.This hotel is in a very good position for theatres or central London but our room was very disappointing.
When 2 people share a room they expect to have a bath towel each There was no coffee in the room and I single sterrer It was extensive for what we got !
Rooms were tiny, had to squeeze past my wife every time wanted to move. Too hot in room and the only Temperature control was the window! No food available New Years Day and bar shut by 1015pm so couldn`t get a drink after show. We stay in a hotel every New Year Day Night after a Show and this was the worst hotel ever.....never again, spoilt the whole occasion
Great location, very basic but comfortable and quiet room. No air con and extractor fan broken so a lot of condensation on windows and walls......a bit off puttting. Breakfast basic but good value.
