key card did not fit the first room i was sent to and the second room i was given for two days i was locked out of on the second night + could not get internet or films on in my room + i had no (do not disturb) sign to hang on the outside of my door and was interupted on the first morning again NOT HAPPY
Requested a non-smoking room allocated smoking but this was quickly rectified upon request. Rooms very cold, would have been more comfortable if heated.
Enjoyed my stay at Gresham. Bedrooms were clean good capacity. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent which catered for all tastes. Will stay in Gresham again and would highly recommend
Amazing room and staff extremely helpful
Very expensive and grossly overpriced restaurant. Room was dirty with urine stains on toilet seat. Couldnt wait to check out.
Convenient Location; Nice Room; Staff service very good.
Hope to return to the Gresham. It was ideal for our stay in Dublin. Staff helpful. Is worthy of the 4 Star rating M Clune
The staff were friendly and professional. However, the rooms were very small, badly lit and had inadequate shelf space in the bathroom.
We loved it !! It was perfect for our anniversary trip to Dublin, we were very central and the room was clean. tidy and comfortable - everything you need for a city break hotel. Highly recommended !!
the gresham its self is a lovley hotel slap bang in the middle of town our rooom was nice and big only because we got up graded to a delux room were the bed was very small. on arrival we was greeted by eastern europens was expect irish cheerful people they were not cheerful and not hepful. one other last thing how do you justify 23 euro for breakie ??? brad from surrey
well furbished hotel with friendly and welcoming staff and the room was comfartable and furnished to a high standard and was spotless .
we only stayed one night and due to the weather decided to eat at the hotel bar whilst watching the champions league and drinking guinness. everything was fantastic.
Were upgraded to deluxe rooms which were good, only problem was noice coming from air conditioning units which we were over looking from our bedroom, at night quite noisy. Staff were helpful.
I wouldnt stay in this hotel again. Rooms were ok, in need of some upgrading. Came in one night and cleaner had left our windows open wide all day, room was freezing. Also didnt get checked in till 3.30. Ate in hotel for dinner one night and the meal was awfull.
The ceiling mounted heating/fan unit was extremely noisy in one of our rooms (348) so that it was difficult to sleep - we were unable to alter the temperature in the room.
Probably a splendid hotel in it`s day but average now, in comparison to other Dublin 4 star hotel. Average hotel - lifts from car park didn`t work, poor wheelchair access at front door, noise at night from car park, housekeeping staff servicing room before I had the chance to check out of it! Really off putting signage on each table in the bar / reception area reminding all guests to watch their belongings!! WIFI didn`t work in all bedrooms or reception areas.
Hotel public rooms good but upstairs in need of updating
very comfortable , great breakfast, very helpful staff, but didnot agree with having to pay for the music on the tv!!
First visit to the Gresham - definitely not the last! Staff were very considerate, polite and extremely attentive. The room/accomodation was spacious and had the added benefit of being able to open windows - extremely rare in to-days `hotels`. Only slight disappointment was that the bathroom didn`t have sanitary bags for disposal of personal items. It`s always very embarassing to open up the pedal bin and see previous deposits... perhaps this could be considered in the future. We thoroughly enjoyed the marvelously central location and wouldn`t consider staying anywhere else when we next visit Dublin. Thank you all very much
hotel public areas looked a bit tired.
I hhave stayed in the Gresham before and told my wife how great it was only to be disappointed twice. The first in Toddys when our meal took 30 mins to arrive only to arrive cold. We appreciated the fact that we were not asked to pay and received an apology however the damage was done and all my bragging was wasted. The second instance was at breakfast when we had to ask for tea and coffee which took ages. Breakfast was nearly eaten by the time it arrived. In general the staff are polite and courteous and we loved the location. Disappointed!!
Very good indeed. We have really enjoyed our stay with you. The room was large and comfortable, warm and quiet; well worth the upgrade. The bathroom was absolutely spotlessly clean every day. You have superb cleaning/janitorial staff. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Thank you for a memorable stay.
the hotel was in a great location, close to the shops and only a short walk from temple bar. however i was a bit disapointed with the hotel it was dated and when we used the toilets in the bar area they were pretty grim i wont tell you what supprises we found in there! however the food was good. The hotel was noisy, not because of the crowds outside but the walls seem to be very thin i could hear the guest upstairs have their morning wee! but i loved dublin and these things did not put me off so i would stay again.
Need to improve. Please change the squeaky taps. cannot understand why the hot and cold water taps are separate It wastes a lot of water. Mixer taps should be installed.
Spent a few days in Dublin sightseeing in August, It was a real treat to return to the comfort of the gresham every evening, the staff were polite & helpful as well as a veryomfortableroom, my only greivance was leaving it in the morning to go sightseeing!!!!
Staff universally pleasant and helpful.
Good hotel, service and staff excellent. Hotels direct gave price 70 euros cheaper than the hotel did directly, albeit for a Saturday rather than Sunday night.
basic clean room. Front of house very helpful
We opted for room only option as there are lots of BREAKFAST options on the main street where the GRESHAM is located. Very central location, easy travel for all public transport. Rooms very clean and comfortable, no nice view from our room but it was well away from traffic noise!!! I will stay there again if the price of about £70 per double room remains. We were very pleased indeed with our stay at the Gresham. The front desk was very efficient, polite and friendly. The room was of a good size, reasonably quiet and kept very clean. The TV monitor in the room which seems able to turn itself on at will was a little annoying but this is a minor quibble. The lounge/bar area is attractive and provides a first rate position for comfortable people-watching on O`Connell Street. We were pleased with drinks and snacks in this area, but did not use the restaurant during this stay. We will stay at the Gresham again on our next stay in Dublin.
