Excellently placed for Shopping (Galleries Lafayette), Monmarte, Opera etc. Nice clean hotel.
I booked online and only paid ?40 a night with free breakfast. I stayed for 2 nights. Rooms were very clean, and the femmes de ménages were excellent leaving clean towels and loo rolls every day. The day we checked out happened to be a day of the train strikes and the hotel reception staff weren`t very helpful in trying to help us reach the airport. This was my first time in Paris, and although I could speak French, I felt stranded as nobody could help us. Apart from the horrible "France on strike" experience, the hotel was excellent, however I wouldn`t say that it was worth anymore than ?40 a night.
In 3 stays, 1st we were moved to another hotel (taxi at our cost), 2nd was ok, 3rd they didn`t have the booking but managed to fit us in. Not impressed. Rooms average.
We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The room was clean and quiet, the staff were very pleasant and personal and overall we loved our stay. In 24 hours we saw every major landmark in Paris thanks to the hotels great location. So near to the metro station "Cadet" we found access to everywhere extremly easy. I`d reccomend the hotel to my friends and family.. that should say it all.
Hotel was a good base for our stay in Paris - useful for Gard Du Nord train station and Pigalle where we saw Moulin Rouge. Concierge was helpful with booking taxis and giving direction. Hotel Breakfast was very basic & not very well stocked bar - other than this a pleasant stay for budget accomodation.
overall the hotal was lovely to stay in however it was smaller than it looked liked online the rooms have a balcony which is lovely the brekfast is of good quality i would recommend this hotel as it nice to stay in and it is right next to a metro station
We were not impressed with the lift in this hotel. It was dangerous. It dropped as you got in and it closed before we all got in the lift. Two of my company were injured. One reported her injury to the hotel staff. She had a badly swollen arm.
this hotel provides ideal base for exploring Paris very central. Quite road but metres away from quality restaurants and local shops providing enough supplies to keep your budget down if required.ie water, fruit ,sandwiches etc.staff excellent, very helpfull but beware of taxi booking, they charge from where they start off to pick you up,not from the hotel!
Spacious room. Lovely bathroom. Upbeat decor, obviously newly refurbished. .We were able to leave our luggage there till the evening bus shuttle to the airport. Very convenient. Excellent location with many cafes, shops and restaurants. It was the quiet environment that really meant a lot to us.
Hotel was mostly clean, air conditioning non-functional night one. Bar out of most options on menu. Centrally located, easy to find and great directions given by you.
This was our first time to Paris and we found the Hotel de L`Ocean by chance on the web. We were very impressed. It was great to be able to get breakfast from early morning until 11am. The metro is close to the hotel and there are plenty of nice restaurants close by also. Would recommend it to you all.
First impressions were good but rooms could do with modernising. Also breakfast could be a bit more varied. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful.
this hotel is clean, friendly and in a great position for visiting the sites, its in the opera district which is typically french. The road it is situated in has a small park at one end and is nice and quiet.
Not in a very good location really, near a metro station, but not a major metro line. Not many good eateries within walking distance, area a bit seedy. Hotel was OK, breakfast not that inspiring, no fresh fruit or fresh juice, tinned fruit salad and reconstituted fruit juice and cheap tasteless cereal. Staff not friendly.
Hotel was ideal for our short stay in Paris. Very near Cadet metro which enabled easy travelling. Room was a reasonable size & very clean; bed linen and towels changed daily. Very impressed with excellent amount of hot water for bath/shower.Breakfast was sufficient to begin the day with a kick start but lacked variety. Overall, a very pleasant stay. Would recommend.
We found the hotel to be clean and hotel staff exceptionally helpful and pleasant. We had no problems at all and the location was excellent.
