Lovely lobby and general cleanliness but is now somewhat tired in decor and overall facilities. Beds were great, very comfortable.
visited in dec, beautifully decorated with the smell of xmas as soon as u arrived, lovely hotel, yummy breakfast with enough to choose, staff all helpful n friendly we will def b back
our second stay at this hotel , made very welcome excellent service lovely room . hotel in walking distance for many places to visit ,a very enjoyable stay ,
Perfect location (for the West End Theatres), VERY well refurbished building with ONLY the highest standard of service from some excellent staff. Made to feel very welcome and a hotel we will stay at again soon.
Excellent location lots of attractions nearby. Hotel rooms modern, clean and spacious. Hotel has lots of character and beautiful chandaliers.
Have stayed here 3 times now and will be back next month again. Biggest bonus is location, followed by good quality hotel, polite helpful staff, clean and comfortable. Recommended.
I have used this hotel on many occasions and each time I do I cant fault the service or the hotel it self. It is always clean tidy and very welcoming, the staff are always polite and helpful. I usually use the hotel to stay in over night as I come to London to see a show and find the hotel in very well situated for this purpose.
Definately coming back, such a central hotel for everything.
My wife and I enjoyed every part of the stay, the highlight for me was the meal last night . The food was delicious and the service was stunning. We will be visiting this hotel everytime we stay in London.
Criticism, and strong one, is of Hotel Direct. My wife is registered disabled through a cancer diagnosis. We always book a `twin` rather than `double` room. This we did and had your e-mailed confirmation. When we arrived there was only a `double room` with the comment that, as a booking agency, you do not assure booking detail. Not good enough. Your comments please.
Stayed several times , room allocation is a bit of a lottery. Executive room 887 on 5th floor very well appointed but small and dark and for 4 nights very disappointed. Service and location excellent.
very good service and location. Its easy to get to and close by to trafalgar and leicester square, and piccadilly. Also to westminster the london eye and the thames a 5 minutes walk away. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms very clean, the bed and pillows just right! and the breakfast was very good, The only letdown is the bacon is not crispy enough for me, but the chef put it under the grill for me so no complaints at all.
only downfall -need to supply extra knife as standard requirement for toast after breakfast plate has been removed- otherwise breakfast exceptional.
Highly recommend this hotel. The staff are all FANTASTIC,especially Sofia and Jose!!
Stayed in executive suite. Very clean with recently renovated rooms. Pillow top beds-so comfortable & rain shower always plenty hot water. Helpful pleasant staff. Would stay there again.
Good Location for getting around central London we have stopped at the Charing Cross hotel several times and have not been disappointed.
Nice room, good location. Bar very expensive...so much so we went without!
As this was the first part of our holidays and we wanted to stop of in London first, we choose a hotel near the middle of London itself. Our first encounter was an encouragement for an upgrade, which did not live up to what was promised. Our power went out in our room late evening and we needed to move rooms. The next day I complained to the management but did not get very far. I reminded them that we were coming back a few weeks later, their attitude changed. On return for our second stay, the reception could not have been better. What a shame the first image was not the second. Sincerely Mark W Clark
Although I had been to the cocktail bar previously, I had never stayed at the hotel but from the first time we walked through the doors we were greeted in such a friendly and genuine way. The staff were extremely helpful, from the concierge to the reception staff and the cleaners - they all greeted us with a smile. The room was spacious and clean and there was no traffic noise, which I had been concerned about, due to the efficient double glazing. The shower room was huge with a very efficient shower system. Breakfast was great - couldn`t fault it ! I would definitely book to stay there again.
A large spotless comfortable well-equiped quiet room. Some problems with wi fi.
We enjoyed our weekend stay in London and enjoyed your hotel very much it is over forty years since we used a hotel in the city and on that occasion it was the Charing Cross however we did find the drinks in your bar a little expensive and will not be useing the bar when we stay again.
Quiet, clean, comfortable and friendly, professional staff. Perfect ingredients for lovely stay.
Everyone we met was helpful and kind. Some minor attention to detail was missing. e.g. cold plates at breakfast, but would recommend to anyone
From the moment we arrived the staff were very friendly and helpful, engaged with us in conversation and always willing to help. The room was a good size and clean. Very happy to stay there again.
room dirty, bathroom smelt of urine, rooms were clearly not those advertised on the web site or they have a very good photographer. room not available on time no apology or anything. could not even get my own personal details correct as final bill was addressed to an address I have never lived at. location very good for the west end theatres and tube etc.
It was an excellent experience. Staff were very friendly, attentive and polite. It was our 25th wedding anniversary and we were delighted to receive complimentary wine, fruit and chocolates from the hotel. It was a complete and pleasant surprise for us when we returned to our room after attending a west end show.
Good central location. Rooms are good and spacious. Bar only serves bottled beer, no draught
Excellent hotel, ideally placed in the heart of London and only approximately 100 meters from Trafalgar Square. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The facilities and room very clean, comfortable and modern. The locality was well served by transport links with both rail and tube outside the front of the hotel. I will definitely consider this location again.
