I am struggling to figure out how this 4 star hotel got its 4 stars?! I paid £171 pounds for a deluxe double bedroom and I`ve Had better rooms in premier Inn for £80! The quality of the breakfast food was poor, I certainly won`t be going back there And I won`t be picking a so called "hidden gem" again.
Rooms looked tired not enough care to European for me prefer more traditional
Perfect location just off Oxford St and a stones throw from the underground. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I would highly reccommend this hotel... The staff at hotel direct were also very helpful in choosing the hotel and even sorted out tickets for a Friday night "Lion King" showing at very short notice.
The hotel was very handy to walk to Oxford St and the London Palladium .However apart from the bedroom everywhere was very cold .The standard bedroom had a double bed that was only really suitable for one person as i spent the night trying to ciling to the edge of a slope ! The breakfast was good with plenty of choice but it was a hike to the dining room and apart from being very cold it looked like a shop cafeteria .The staff were pleasant and efficient but i dont think i would recommend this hotel .
Staff do not ask if stay was fine, you are just told to put key card in box - Hotel looks good from outside & foyer but extremely disappointed when entered our room - very small, Carpet worn out - Cushions on bed had stains all over them - bed was pushed up against wall which was covered in many different stains - mattress was in very poor condition, both ended up rolling into the middle of the bed - not 4* - very disappointed & would not stay again
Very comfortable, would definitely stay here again but shame breakfast is served in a "canteen".
A very good quality hotel experience with really nice rooms and a great breakfast choice
My mum`s birthday treat and we were upgraded and complimentary champagne!!
Checking -in staff outstanding. Room very high quality. Location unbeatable
The xxxxx, Marble Arch,a good hotel. Warm welcome at reception, good standard room. The shower in the bathroom was good ( when we sorted out how to use it). The air conditioning was very good and effective and easy to use. Bed very comfortable. Room we had was inward facing and very quiet (7116). Breakfast choice was extensive and good. Lots of lobby staff to help and advise as were the doormen helpful in getting taxis. The only downside was the price of drinks at the bar; £34 for a large scotch and gin with mixers. Would certainly stay there again but take our own drinks ( the rooms have a fridge and there is an ice machine on the floor outside )
The staff were friendly and very helpful. The room was clean & comfortable. The breakfast choice was excellent.
Room a little small but fine for a short stay
One of the best hotels ever stayed in. Breakfast exceptional, rooms lovely and staff couldn`t have been more helpful. It was a birthday present for my mother and she was made to feel very special with a bottle of wine, card and chocolates, couldn`t fault anything! Many many thanks.
Really enjoyed our stay with you, will be back
Great hotel, great location; friendly staff, would definetly stay again
Nice hotel, good location, great reception staff. Asked why we were staying (33rd anniversary) and without asking they upgraded our room. Went out for the afternoon and found a well chilled bottle of fizz waiting! Will use this hotel again next time we are in London
Very welcoming and friendly staff from the concierge, desk clerk, brasserie waitress to the chamber maid. Rooms clean and welstocked, beds fresh, clean and extremely comfortable. Hot breakfast buffet style from fruit, cereal, traditional English, continental and everything inbetween. From families to professionals I would highly recommend this well placed, central hotel.
Very swish modern hotel just off Oxford Street. The rooms were a little small but the beds and pillows were super comfortable and the breakfast was fabulous.
We had the most wonderful time. Beautiful hotel, amazing staff team, great room. A*
This is a fantastic hotel in the heart of London. Close to Hyde Park& Marble Arch. The Reception area was huge & had a lovely atmosphere to it, all the staff were friendly & courteous. Our room was on the 5th floor & it was quiet & comfortable. We were nestled in between a Deluxe room & an Executive Room & I would have loved to have ungraded but funds wouldn`t allow it!!! Hotel Direct have been brilliant finding us this wonderful hotel & I will definately book with these again
Excellent Hotel would stay again
Fantastic all staff really helpful and location top draw highly recommend
Hotel is clean comfortable and very well looked after. Staff very friendly and very helpful. Buffet breakfast was excellent. A lovely friendly atmosphere. We loved it.
Great location clean good size rooms
The bed was very comfortable and we slept very well. The staff at the hotel were lovely and very friendly. The hotel location is great . Central London location so it was easy to get to all locations. We were able to walk to the majority of places we visited and used a taxi for others but this was quite reasonable only having to travel a few miles. Breakfast was lovely, with everything you could possibly think of. Definitely stay here again.
Walking distance from Paddington and just around corner from Oxford Street. Very large hotel but we had no problems with queues any time. Wifi was a bit hit and miss on 7th floor. No view at all from window as parapet took up whole of bottom pane. Still, didn`t spend much time in room so no problem.
Good sized room, prefer to have a shower only. Mattress needed re-newing definite dip in the middle. Would have been nice to have had 2 bath towels rather than just the one and a hand towel.
We could not have chosen a better location For shopping and tube access The hotel is very nice and the staff are very helpful and friendly
Room very comfortable, loved the breakfast area, hotel clean
Even at the offer price this room was a disappointment. The room was small almost claustrophobic with over large wooden installations - desk, TV mount etc that didn`t enhance the room at all. An illuminated panel in the desk back showing a ?flamingo cheapened the look considerably. To illustrate how small the room was to get to the window side of the bed I caught my foot on a superfluous wheeled unit in an attempt to avoid the end of the bed and then hit my shoulder on the TV. We have had much better cheaper hotels that are warmer and with more ambience. A great shame at the hotel is superbly positioned for shopping, museum and sights being centrally placed near Marble Arch. The breakfast was OK with lots of choice but served in an area they have chosen to call The Market which is better described as College canteen. Sorry but I won`t choose this one again.
