We were put in a mould filled room with broken wardrobes. They did move us after we complained. Some people wouldn`t.

The hotel was great , staff where all very helpful even had a nice Surprise for my wife for her birthday from this from the hotel

Lovely rooms and really enjoyed the use of the pool and facilities.

The hotel room was comfortable but dated and in need of some updating. Additionally, there was no hot water when I was showering at 11pm. However, for the price of the hotel, train and show package I can`t complain.

the swimming pool and steam room is a nice way to relax after a busy day

Hotel was very clean. Staff very pleasant. Brought wife for a Valentine`s and birthday treat. Hotel made us very welcome and even gave us a complimentary bottle of wine. Lovely surprise. Would recommend.

The checking in was welcoming, the room was as expected if a little tired, some of the `veneer` was peeling off the furniture and some of the grouting in the bathroom wasn`t pristine. There wasn`t enough tea/coffee making items but that`s not unique to this hotel, there`s never enough. Altogether good value though.

Was a bit concerned as doesn`t look much from the outside but it`s a lovely hotel with spacious rooms, comfy beds and great staff. We didn`t eat there so can`t comment on the facilities/breakfast but looked lovely when walking by! Would definitely recommend.

Was greeeted by a lady called elanora? She was very cheerful and helped with every need we had including helping us to find a taxi, she upgraded the room for us, I found her very helpful. The hotel it`s self was lovely and the breakfast was amazing best I`ve had in ages would defo stay again

Quite expensive for food and drinks but lovely clean and spacious room.

I took my mum to this hotel for her 60th birthday and the staff could not have been more kind. They upgraded our room, gave complimentary breakfast and a bottle of champagne with cake. The hotel went out of their way to make this birthday weekend an amazing experience for my mum. The room was nice, everything you needed was inside and anything extra, staff were more than happy to sort out for us. Overall, a fantastic weekend, thank you to all the staff for this wonderful visit and experience.

Room was comfortable and clean, staff were very helpful and accommodating when we asked for extra coffee and sugar. Would definitely stay her again.

Perfect location, clean and just what we wanted.

Restaurant needs attention,had soup bowl was cracked, long wait for spoons to be bought for our soup, soup arrived cold had to be returned to the kitchen ,

rooms were very tidy, not alot of room to move about, and your bathroom could do with up dating, shower not very good,

Stayed at the Thistle Barcican before, although we had a problem with the air conditioning unit in our room making some random noises stopping us sleeping, once reported to reception we changed rooms, which was not great after midnight but was compensated with a complimentary breakfast. However, I did have to insist on this as nothing was offered which was a somewhat disappointing.

Too far away from the theatre. Didn`t realise it was such a walk from Old St underground. We actually booked this hotel because it included breakfast but was told when booking in it was room only so ended up paying for breakfast too.

They need to soundproof the rooms. If you`re a light sleeper don`t stay here. I don`t enjoy listening to the room next door having sex.

Excellent stay and were pleasantly surprised by my hubbys surprise bottle of Prosecco for his birthday! Very clean hote and friendly staff thoroughly recommend this hotel.

The deluxe room was not so deluxe, it was nice but to hot all night, no controls to turn it down also the TV sound was awful needs replacing. Replay bar was good but slow service

Hotel was reasonable in price and cleanliness, we did have a small glitch with our bookings as during check in we discovered that our two rooms were in different buildings. We expressed disappointment in the room situation as it meant our daughter would be alone in a room in a different building from us. This was not explained to us when booking the theatre package. we asked if she could be relocated into the same building as us, we were told the hotel was fully booked. On asking to speak to a manager, explaining the fear of her being on her own, the check in assistant came back and said her manager had authorized a free upgrade to a double room on the same floor as us in the same building. This was a generous offer on the hotels behalf. My concern would be that people with young teenagers could find themselves in the same situation. The hotel should make people aware of this when booking are made, this would give people time to cancel and look for another hotel
