Fantastic accomodation. Very helpful, friendly and great value.
Appreciate the quick easy questionnaire. Enjoyable stay Bathroom floor very slippery, need a bathmat
hotel was as expected, small room yet lovely and clean and staff very polite. I did request a hotel as near to royal marsden hospital as my husband was having a major operation. I believe there could have been somewhere nearer as I spent a fortune on cab fares.
The room was very basic, with just enough room to squeeze past the bed. This is not a place to go if you want to `live` in the room, however it was clean and the staff were pleasant, so if all you`re looking for is somewhere to lay your head, then it is fine.
Room was small and clean. Perfect for a group on a budget! Staff were friendly and accommodating.
Our stay was in a twin room, each bed only had one pillow (most places keep spares in the wardrobe). There was no hand towl in the bathroom so had to use the bath towls.
the hotel its self was good but the matress i had was a bit hard for my liking.in all other asspects it was good
The room was small and the shower/bathroom even smaller. It was very hot in London and the room didn`t have any adjustable air conditioning. I was also very unhappy that they took a copy of my driving licence when they asked for photo ID. I would like to know that it was destroyed after my visit as there`s so much identity theft going on.
The hotel was very clean and friendly. Bue to the fact that we stayed during a heat wave it was extremely uncomfortable due to the fact there is no air conditioning. The fan we were given was helpful. I would recommend the hotel but advise guests to take their own tea and coffee as the hotels offering was unpleasant.
Was ok. Room was very hot and only had one plug in fan and 1 usable socket ( only 2 in room). Fire evacuation was poorly excicuted. Halls too narrow ended up bottle necked and no room to get out. Only one way out if fire in lobby all trapped.
This is so worth the money. There were what looked like scorch marks on the carpet but bedding and bathroom was small but clean. Bedding and towels are just like you would get in a more up market hotel.
Everything you need to spend a flying visit, but if you are looking for luxury this isn`t the hotel for you. Room was clean and tidy but small and compact. No eating facilities but plenty of takeaways near by. Staff on the front desk are polite and helpful. All in all a good place to use as a base just outside the hustle and bustle of main London.
We were disappointed from the beginning. Did not expect to have to show some form of identity as we have a UK address, never mentiioned when we received our confirmation of the hotel. Not sure what would have happened if we had nothing to show. The room contained a double and a single bed, left little room to move around. We had a door with a window in it, room was very dark, required light on during daylight hours. Only looked on to a closed in pathway. Found dirty glass beneath one of the bed! At least they had tea & coffee making facilities, if no breakfas!
Very clean and well kept hotel. I have booked in for the following week, says it all really.
Basic accomodation but everything you need for a cheap stay in london
Reception staff were pleasant, clean room, very comfortable bed. However the main disadvantage to this hotel is its location. It is located on what appears to be a very shabby run down road. The outlook from a front bedroom was grim. I will not stay here again because of this. This hotel has good potential but is let down by its surroundings.
Good hotel, very good location. Found a very good restaurant, 3 min walk from the hotel, Yas Restaurant...top food!
Everything spotless; v. clean bathroom. Shower awkward --- you cant get completely under it. Very compact. Tube very close: I walked from there.
Room was on the small side - we could only move about one at a time! Fine for sleeping only, but you wouldn`t want to spend much other time in there. No storage space in the bathroom apart from a narrow shelf above the tiny sink. No bath, but the shower was good. Spotlessly clean, the bed was comfortable, and the room was quiet. Good location only a short walk from the tube station. Friendly efficient staff. No breakfast but a nice cafe nearby serving an excellent and varied choice. We enjoyed our stay.
Quite clean but had old stains on carpet. Room was good size but tv in a bad place (very restricted view). It was still a bargain for London though and staff were friendly enough.
Very quiet comfortable room ,very pleasant and helpful people on reception .Highly recommended .
nice clean room and very comfy beds, only criticism is the shower which was hot and cold. but everything else was smashing.
Room a bit on the small side but good value for the price
Room could not have been smaller, bed OK and clean but with one pillow only. Bathroom facilities were like those found for temporary toilets with similar type floor (a pod).Area quiet but noise from upstairs dreadful. Two trips to complain at 11.45pm and 12.45am but receptionist totally ineffectual. Noise till gone 4am and no chance of sleep.Sounded like people upstairs moving furniture all night and hanging out of windows to shout into `phones. Found out four student boys were occupants - but I can confirm that several girls were present too as they could be heard. No breakfast included, but that was probably a godsend as enjoyed a lovely breakfast just up the road in a very nice café. Also didn`t like the fact that my driving licence was photocopied without my permission, with no explanation, as could lead to identity fraud. Would never stay there again
The hotel was pleasant and clean. We had a triple room which wasn`t big, but had ample space for us. It is a few minutes walk from the tube which made it a very convenient place to stay. Good value for central London. Only small issue was wr had to ask twice for someone to come and fix our light as it was flickering. When he did arrive he clearly didn`t know how to change the bulb, but did eventually manage to take the broken one out. They did not have any space bulbs so said we would have to manage with one light for the evening. He did apologise and said he would inform his manager that they needed more. Otherwise a pleasant stay.
Clean rooms, friendly staff and perfect location. I`ll be visiting again.
Good hotel, nice and simple interior. Good customer service, the room was very clean. Good value for money.
Very clean. Comfortable bed. Up to date bathroom and decor. Close to Tube station. Great for a short city visit.
We loved our stay at Kensington West. The hotel was very clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. They let us check in early and we`re kind when I forgot my key. There is a lift for baggage and the hotel is very secure with multiple doors. The room was very clean and simply furnished with nice basics. Beds were comfortable. The bathroom was immaculate and had nice soap/shampoo. The room and bathroom was cleaned everyday with towels replaced etc. The location is good too, although not in the centre of London. It is an easy walk to Kensington High Street (2 mins to the quite end and 5-10 to the shops) and it is close to the district line that takes you direct to many tourist sites and only one change to oxford street. The only negative I can think of was that the room was quite small but it was fine for us. The wifi connection also worked well. Overall so impressed and can`t beleive we found such a good place for so cheap a price. Recommended!
Rooms are small as are the en suit bathrooms but saying that beds were comfy and room spot on for cleanliness. Could do with offering a breakfast of some sort whether it be just cereal.
This hotel was lovely and clean, in a good location with friendly helpful staff. Would recommend to friends and would use again.
Having travelled by train from Lancashire, I made my way via the Victoria Tube Station to West Kensington Tube Station. The Kensington West HotelDirect was in comfortable walking distance from the latter. But me being elderly, it took me initially a ridiculous 40 minutes or so to find it, and HotelDirect`s notes on how to get there hadn`t helped. Things improved on the following evening when a local man helped me to find my way to the hotel from the tube station. And he used my iPhone`s facilities to map out the route. My room at the hotel was scrupulously clean and fresh. There was an electric kettle in the room, with a tea bag and/or a coffee bag provided, plus sugar, but sachets of milk were not provided every day.
